  3. Um, sorry, couldn't tell if this meant currently-employed coaches, or recent-vintage ones. Aaaah, what the hey, guess I'll just do it my own way. See how many of the following famous coaches you can name! "Please listen to all options before making your selection, as our Menu has recently changed" Dynamic, free-thinking college coach who was just what the staid old NFL needed. Winner of the coveted Richard Simmons Award for Supposed Nutritional Guru Who Is A Little Fat Man Himself. Beloved "Players' Coach", holds the Best

  5. Chaotically works for me; it's done pretty well for the New York Giants in recent years! Whack 'em, and dump the bodies in the New Jersey Swamplands. Angry lout who would take the money and immediately go South. The Good Ol' Boys, of course! Welp, based upon the sterling example on the Giants of the last ten years, I would develop short-term memory loss about that thing referred to as "the 3rd Round", and keep my most-wanted players a deep-dark secret, like wearing a tee-shirt reading I LUV LEON

  6. When I think about what our Offense has looked over the last few seasons & then imagine what it is now. I can't help, but be excited that we will be faster @QB, RB & WR. Something this team need.....BADLY. When we traded for Alex Smith, the first thing I thought was not his game management skills, or his ability to read defenses, or even his play action passing success. It was his mobility. His ability to escape a pass rush. His knack for rolling left or right on the move & hitting targets or running himself. Basically! Keeping the play alive! I can't tell

  7. You’re right. Not a far comparison. Kanter is a much better defender.

  8. The thing about that is, freak accident or not, every concussion makes you more susceptible to the next. Regardless of how it happened, each one is a metaphorical crack in the armor.

  13. Yeah, to be honest I'd rather get beat once or twice a game deep than just get picked apart all game long. The end result may be the same but maybe the QB misses on his deep throw, more likely than missing on an easy throw before pressure can even get there. We weren't winning anyway so why we didn't adjust just to see if it worked better is a bad sign. That said, I'm hoping we are one of those offenses that takes advantage of those situations unlike last year's offense.

  14. Define “baseless claim” and “presented without evidence”. A victim’s statements are evidence, whether there is corroborating information or not. This is true whether the claim is sexual assault, domestic violence, theft, indecent exposure, or any number of other crimes that can be committed without leaving any other direct, physical evidence. So, not only was this claim presented with evidence, it was investigated. And it appears there is likely a favorable verdict for the defendant. That’s the system. That’s how it works. If you have a better one, present it. But stating that it is immor

  15. Yeah this is like saying that if on two freak occasions, a car veered off the road and slammed into you while walking your dog, you were suddenly getting-hit-by-a-car prone.

  19. Yeah, Rex’s faults and lack of pressure is pretty much what cost us those games, those were two of Sanchez best games along with the win in New England the week prior. If the defense had any semblance of urgency or what was at stake in the first half of 2010 we would of won that game. Murphy’s law

  20. 18 games is going to wear players down more for the playoffs and shorten careers. Increasing the amount of playoff teams is going to water down the postseason. You dont need half the teams in the league making the playoffs. The only reason people even suggest this is because, on occasion, a supposedly deserving team misses the playoffs.....while ignoring that, occasionally, a team that DOESNT really deserve to be there gets it....so yes, lets increase it to 16 teams.....we need more 7-9 teams in the playoffs, right? That will improve the product. The current setup is perfect.

  21. I wonder if it is somewhat because of coverage needs. I don't know that the safeties out there are the top coverage guys, there is less demand for in the box safeties. That's one thing that I could see, it doesn't make sense why James would drop in the draft for that reason, but I could see that being the reason, or teams looking to turn older CB's or recently drafted closer CB's into safeties.

  22. Only thing I can think of is teams don't value S over other positions on both sides of the ball. (You kinda saw it in the draft too, with Derwin James falling to the late teens). Why that would be the case? I don't have the faintest idea, an above average starter at the spot could make or break a defense.

  23. Committing fraud on your fans is a real scumbag move. That it's widespread doesn't make it any less of a scumbag move... It just means that there are lots of scumbags. However, to be perfectly smug, I've always been of the opinion that people really shouldn't be purchasing things if they have no connection to them. I don't think I'd ever pay for an autograph or piece of "game used" equipment.

  24. I quoted two sections, the one where nacho agreed with Bucs but never put it in place it seems. Possibly thats where our misinformed opinions came from. Seems like the rule right now is that you can keep two guys for 1 tag, and choose whomever else to tag at their normal price. Not based on High>Low But I wonder if thats just due to Nacho never expecting teams to keep more than two rookies lol

  25. Yeah it could have been a stun. If they were painting Cable as a Black Hat it would have been a killshot but given what we know it could have been simply a stun. I will say I didn’t get even a hint of who it was lol.

  29. lol jinx you owe me a coke! EDIT: don't misunderstand my (our?) posts as suggesting the trade was a bad idea. I was and am still in favor of that move. Also, it's very fun to have an active rooting interest against a specific team. Feels like the NBA

  30. I'm a Southsider so under normal circumstances that wouldn't seem possible but I don't buy into that crap. Both are Chicago teams and I hope both do well. Unfortunately at the moment only one is. Nice to be here. A friend suggested the site and it's always good to collect as many perspectives on the Bears as I can. By nature and force of habit I'm kind of an analytical so that will probably show up at times. Sometimes the "why" is just as important as the "what". But I'm looking forward to some progress now that Fox is gone.

  31. Dr Strange is one I've come to appreciate more and more on rewatches. Haven't reatwched Infinity War yet, but here's how I'd rank the MCU rewatchability factor: Better when seen multiple times: Thor: Ragnarok Dr Strange Captain America: The Winter Soldier Guardians of the Galaxy The Avengers Holds up on multiple viewings: Iron Man Iron Man 2 Thor Captain America: The First Avenger Avengers: Age of Ultron Ant-Man Captain America: Civil War Doesn't hold up on multiple viewings: Black Panther Iron Man 3 The Incredible Hulk Guardians of the Galaxy Vo

  35. Noy saying that is not true, although shame is as much a contributing factor, what im saying is listen and believe as a premise is inherrently immoral and implies that women are somehow virtuous and morally superior creatures. We have a justice system based on the presumption of innocence for a reason.

  43. By the end of the season, I think it will be clear that this is the second best division in all of football, behind the NFC South. If I was a betting man, I'd put good money on both the Pack and Vikings making the playoffs. If either the Lions or the Bears got in, I wouldn't be shocked--although I imagine the Bears will show the most improvement in the second half of the season...

  44. RG3 leads to Ravens to the playoffs where they play Indy in the Wildcard Round. Luck and Griffin dual back n forth going throw for throw where the Colts have a 2 point lead with 30 seconds left. RG3 at the Colts 44 needs a few more yards to get Tucker in FG Range since they're indoors. RG3 breaks the pocket and gains 10 to set up Tucker and then BOOM lights go out in Indy. A camera in the visiting tunnel sees Tucker laid out with officials over him checking to see what happened. Ozzie Newsome then calls down to Harbaugh that he's sending in reinforcements, all of a sudden you hear Chris C

  45. I'll counter this: Big Ben bounces back and makes the Pro Bowl (not as an alternate, but earns the shot). Bold? Hardly, he's been named last 4 years... hold on. Ben then announces he's considering skipping the Pro Bowl. Bold? He did this in 2016-17, so hardly. It's coming. AFC then offers it to Mason Rudolph Big Ben commits to play the next 5 Pro Bowls
