  6. I personally love the Wilks hire. He only has one full season as a DC, but he took Rivera's defense and made it even better. He's aggressive, and his players love playing for him. His brief stint as a HC should only make him better. I said it before we hired him, and I'll say it now: He was my #1 choice for DC.

  8. As a dude from a fanbase that isn't a rival of yours and couldn't care less about the state of the NFC North, I don't even understand the point you're trying to make. Seems like you tried to troll a Bears fan for lack of success in recent years only to accidentally troll yourself because the Vikings are in the same boat... bridesmaids of the Packers but never the brides. Do you really want to see Packer domination over your division for another 8 years? Why even bring up the last 8 years as if it has some predicative quality of what the future will bring?

It finally just dawned on me that Freddie is to coaching what Baker is to QBing. Both underrated, underappreciated, and second guessed every step of the way. Most didn't think Baker could make it, the same way most didn't see Freddie as a HC. They're the perfect pair.

  27. Baker has some Joe Montana to him. I don't know if he is just that relaxed or has ADHD but it seems like he should be focusing on the task at hand and he is clowning around a lot. In a good way, he is always ready when that ball is snapped. This game may be too easy for him, they should call him up to the next level of football.

  28. Going off of what's available in FA and in the draft, I'd sign a DE and DB in FA, and draft a DT, LB, and TE. The pickings are extremely thin at WR and OT in both FA and the draft, and I don't want to waste assets forcing those positions. We have a very solid stable of WRs in Landry, Callaway, Higgins, and Perriman. The only piece missing is a stud WR to take the group to the next level, but I'm not sure if there's any available, honestly. This draft is extremely flush with DTs and TEs. You'd be crazy not to take advantage of that.

Hire BB disciple and/or tough coach to whip the franchise into shape, Sign a bunch of aged Free agents to accelerate the timeline Overdraft a QB in round 1, the less experience in College the better. FAs don't like getting yelled at SCHISM TIME!!!! Cut some "not conducive to our culture" guys OH NO THE QB sucks Lets bring in an overrated #2 wideout to make him better (Note: Must pay as if they are a #1 receiver) It didn't work, and now he hates the coach too Fire Coach during the season year 2, year 3 if they had a signature win during a

  33. The Colts have a really young team that gained valuable experience with a first time head coach in his first year, and a first time GM in his first year. To come back after a 1-5 start, and make it to the divisional round was remarkable. Leonard, Mack, Smith, and Nelson are solid pieces that will help contribute for a long while. Andrew Luck is still 29 also. Their fans are disappointed today, but should be excited moving forward. I think they really need to upgrade their receiving threats though. Seemed apparent today they desperately needed a true A1 receiver.

  38. I don't know if this has been discussed already in the off-season thread, or the other 'Trade AB' thread, but if there is ONE thing, over the years, the Steelers have been fairly consistently go of at is letting go of players at the right time; I'm not saying AB won't be 'good', or even 'great' for someone else, but I doubt he'll be 'magical'. They would not entertain this scenario if they felt that Antonio was still 'too special' enough to keep around; they must see some slowing down in AB's game, preparation--something--for them to even entertain this. The biggest exception to this would be

  42. Pagano hasn't been a good defensive coach in years, his one good year in Baltimore doesn't mean he's a great DC. (the colts best defense under him finished 9th in points allowed, the 2nd best being 19th) Pagano is overrated and I don't see the bears being as good under him as Fangio.
