  1. I sent outpost an online treasure map to find my list located. he has to answer three impossible riddles about movies, so its right up his alley (its actually a wild goose chase that will just distract him) while his time is occupied I plan on strangling @Matts4313, then reanimating his body as my slave and having him tell everyone that running backs are the most important position in football. The hosts wont know. its a perfect plan.

  7. Absolutely 1000%. Football is much more coaching than playing than most of these fans realize. It’s the ultimate strategy sport. Starcraft/Chess of sports.

  8. This is why I hate Twitter. I had to google if the Rams had two first round picks in 2020 and 2021 to know whether they gave up four 1st round picks (two in each year), or two total picks (one in each year) because the author of this tweet cannot take 10 seconds to disambiguate. People who do not use the Oxford comma should be stoned in the street.

  10. The NFL is sponsoring a competition called the "Big Data Bowl". The goal is to create an algorithm which can most accurately determine how many yards a running back will gain on a given play, given some prior information. Whoever comes up with the best model gets a prize of $75,000. The competition is being sponsored on a website called Kaggle, which is community for data scientists and artificial intelligence (AI) researchers. The website has hosted many competitions, such as automatically determining home value (Zillow), or predicting a person's movie preference (Netflix). https:

  11. i noticed that too. the kid was getting open. rodgers holds it a tick longer and shepherd is wide open in the corner of the endzone against the eagles, and we might be talking about shep as a hero these past few weeks. i know this forum has loved trashing the kid, but i'd keep him because frankly, who on our team is capable of getting consistent separation? the guy i'd let go is kumerow. i don't understand this forum's infatuation with him, never have. he's JAG. doesn't give you anything. yes shep had a bad game but if the kid keeps getting open i'd tell him to keep working and the chanc

  15. Vikings fan here. Feel really bad for you guys. You should have won ballgame and if there was ever a near perfect description for stealing a game from someone, it was there on Monday Night. Referee interference, flags/penalties in general are slowly depriving me of intrigue for each football weekend, and last night just shows how bad things have gotten. You guys are better than your record says (not that it's bad anyway) and I look forward to a hard fought game on Sunday. May the better team win.

  17. Oct 14 Among qualified QB in weeks 1-3, Dak Prescott’s play action percentage was at 39.4%, 2nd in the league. In weeks 4-6, Prescott’s play action percentage dropped to 17.2%, tied for 29th in that timespan. This alone should be grounds to fire Garrett. Why in the hell would you go clear to the other end of the spectrum and away from what was working so well? It’s inexplicable.

  19. And this is my biggest issue with this argument the past 4/5 weeks and going back to last offseason. Everyone defending Baker: "He's young, he's played like 20 games, he has a right to struggle" Everyone last year going against Lamar after starting 7 games: "It's clear this guy sucks. Case closed". Hell, you just did it in this post. "Baker's a quarter of the year into week 2, cut him some slack". A few sentences later "Lamar's play has dropped the past few weeks, I'm taking Baker". There's a clear double standard that Browns fans apply to these qu

  21. As nice as this sounds I'd rather just get drunk on beer and bourbon while eating chili and watching my team destroy bad opponents like Pats fans get to do every week. That Washington is the only one right now I feel really good will be that way.

  22. When did this board develop EQ haters with bad takes? Haven't we reached an age now where the "well maybe this is one of those 1-2% of the times where Schefter and Rap are wrong!" can die? EQ has a high ankle sprain and is probably close to being ready to go if he could. IR-ing EQ was really freaking dumb, especially when the guy we kept in James Crawford got cut less than a week later because he wasn't good. There's no question he's a hell of a lot better than Shep and Kumerow and with the way MVS and Allison are playing he might be our #2 WR.

  23. You guys are acting like CB is the RB position of the defense. I agree I'd rather have an elite pass rusher over an elite corner, but the gap isn't as wide as you all are suggesting. A shutdown CB is still extremely valuable. Ask Belichick who he'd rather have. For a team with a reputation of being frugal, they sure break the bank for shutdown CBs.

  24. I do not think they are in a win now mode. I think the Fitzpatrick trade was a smart one for a team that needed a FS and stunk at drafting DB. The Bush trade was another need. THey tried the Steeler way before and other teams jumped them to get the ILB. Now they had to make a move or be stuck. The Varnnett trade was another need. It is something that others on this board that should have been done years ago.

  29. Sounds arbitrary to me. He had the 9th in 2009 and he did not win He had the 11th in 2012 and he did not win The Patriots were 10th at 5 points less over 16 games. He had the 12th in 2015 and he did not win The Patriots were 10th with 8 less points in 16 games. He had the 13th in 2014 and he did not win The 49ers were 10th at 8 less points over 16 games The Patriots gave up a whole 35 less points over 16 games The 2011 Patriots were 17th in defensive points and 31st in defensive yards... where did their season end again? Was it in the Super Bowl?

  31. 22 year old no.1 receiver who's on track for 1000 yards and cost-controlled for 4 years. I mean if it turns out I've traded away a top 5 pick,it's not ideal, but chances are it'll be towards the bottom of the 1st and end of the day, you're hoping to pick someone as good as Moore with those picks so why not skip the middleman.

  35. How do you get Ward out of all this? I don't follow. You also had to give up a 1st alongside OBJ, so that really shouldn't count either frankly. No doubt you guys are more talented now, but any competent front office with the sheer number of assets you accumulated should be able to do that much. It worked out for you, but the assets you got from the Wentz trade are pretty pathetic frankly.

  36. Baker might be dead or the next former Browns QB in 3 years if you don't Friggen figure out a way of protecting him. Stop worry about 5 years in the future when the next 3 aren't even guaranteed?

  37. <mini rant> I have a TE who plays 40-50% of his IRL snaps. In my ideal BDL world, voters would understand that I try to use him in a similar capacity in my gameplans which still results in similar or fewer snaps than my WR4 thus he’s not listed as a starter. But that’s not how BDL works. If a dude’s on your bench then you’re not using him at all. So I have to choose between attacking a guy’s best LB or S with my not yet elite TE, listing 5 pass catchers and losing votes “because I will never run the ball and will have zero protection,” or attacking a guy’s CB4. One of these thin
