  2. You must have officially snapped from lack of sports! I usually agree with you but this time..:. Your kidding me right? This has to be a set up where if anyone says “yeah” you hit them with a “your a traitor!”. AB hasn’t changed one bit as a person and I wouldnt ever accept him back on the team. We’re not desperate for WRs, there’s no reason to literally inject cancer into this team. Not to mention Mayock would absolutely resign if AB came back. F AB for life!

  3. Let me first say that I am sorry this took me so long. Since 2004 this forum has had rules in place that prohibits the discussion of race. I’ve been trying to find a way to make a statement that fits within the boundaries of the rules and still conveys what I think needs to be said. It’s been impossible and so I now will purposely break the forum rules. Some will see me as a hypocrite. Some may say I’ve waited too long and it doesn’t matter what I say. I don’t care. If this makes a difference and helps change one persons mind it was worth it. So I will now add my small voice

  4. Me looking for a single word of criticism from a Broncos fan for John Elway who had a 45% completion percentage and a 2 to 6 TD:INT ratio and averaged 13 points per game in those Super Bowls...

  5. The fact that Miami hasn't been high in jersey sales in a while is part of why the Tua jerseys are selling - there's a lot of fans who are ready to buy a new jersey.

  6. I hope this more impactful as this is a recount of my own personal life experiences that led to my D-Day remembrance. Here goes. I am now 62 years old. As a lad of 10 in the winter of 1967-68, I came to the supper table one night to hear my dad tell me and my 5 brothers "Boys, your mother and I have something to tell you. Later this spring, we are moving to Europe". After we all dropped our spoons in our soup bowls, we collectively said "Whaaat?" Dad went on to explain the plan was Firestone was moving the family to London for a 2 year assignment, then move to Rome for a year's assignmen

  7. Keep in mind that when the NFL or other websites rank jersey sales, that it's typically a somewhat brief snapshot. They're talking about this month or this offseason and that's about it. So your top competitors for jersey sales aren't necessarily going to be the most popular teams or most popular players during this time of year, it's going to be players in circumstances that incentivize new jersey sales, typically players that are new to their current team, either via draft, trade, or free agency. The top 10 in jersey sales is exclusively Tua, Burrow, Brady, and Gronk, for that reason. Brady

  9. I’ll add this: The Browns organization may be/have been a complete dumpster fire, but one thing you can’t say under Haslem is that he should be considered anything other than open minded in the hiring process of adhering to the spirit of the Rooney Rule. Between Farmer, Sashi, Berry, and getting a 3rd season after 1-31, any insinuation otherwise is a complete fabrication and does more harm than good.

  10. He is a narcissist, self centred, dishonest and untrustworthy. How the heck can you tell how hard he's working just from some 'look at me' type posts? He's more needy than my 2 year old toddler 😁 He's clearly desperate and insecure and though a very, very good player bringing him back would absolutely split the locker room, go directly against the GM and distabalise the whole organisation. Absolutely ludicrous. BTW, I dont hate AB just think he is pathetic and needs mental help before things become tragic for him or someone else.

  11. Yes, it is hypocritical. I struggled for a long time with it. Sorry you didn't like the message. We're still focused on good football discussion and will not allow any political discussion going forward. Some more info in my original post in TAST.

  16. To give you an idea on the different combinations we could use if the league approved it. Here are some of the combinations JMU used last year (they are continually regarded as the best unis in FCS). JMU's main colors are Purple and Gold. We can do the same type of thing with Burgundy and Gold It's actually a pretty big thing now to find out which combination the are using for a game. JMU Football Twitter posts it before every game. Think of the increase in jersey/helmet sales alone by fans.

  17. I played pickelball in gym class the day after tearing my ACL as a freshman in HS because, even though my knee was swollen like a basketball, I didn't have a doctor's note and my class needed me. I had a weak opponent and hobbled to a victory, sealing the team win. I put my life on the line that day.

  18. I think a good example of this is the 2010’s Seahawks. If that team was put together in the 70’s or 80’s, you basically have that team retain its core and maintain a dominant position within the NFC for a decade plus.

  21. This is wildly incorrect. 2012 Kaep was a force and at that time one of the best offensive players in the game. Several levels above 2019 Jimmy.

  23. I am cool with the list. Probably more importantly from a fan perspective, I am probably just as happy with our 11-15 guys as I am with our 1-10. We need a little bit more 'game breaking' talent on both sides of the ball (which team doesn't?), but we have a really solid roster top to bottom.

  26. Yeah, the people who forget that sports have always been political are the ones who tried their best to ignore the messages. I just came back from the protest here in Atlanta. This subject has always meant a lot to me, so I appreciate the small things like that to let us know they are aware & care. I won't dig deep into this subject for forum rules, but it made me smile a bit.

  28. My brother got to take part in a D Day celebration a few years ago since he is in the 82nd Airborne. My brother and his family were stationed over in Germany. So they were able to be in Normandy for it. He said it was one of the greatest experiences of his life. I believe he was able to take part in the paratroopers jump for it

  32. Anyone who thinks Brady will turn into a zombie in 2020 is nuts. He looked bad in 2019 because we had the worst receiving corps in the league and now he will be playing with the best while wearing a gigantic chip on his shoulder. He'll do well.

  34. I can see it going down like favre and the Vikings A deep playoff run in 2020, but things kinda fall apart next yr for Brady. Brady has enough gas in his tank for one more productive yr with those weapons, but father time will be here for a 44 yr old Brady.

  35. I thought Brady’s arm strength took a descent step back last year. Deep balls kind of floated on him. He didn’t seem to have that zip. Now he’s going to a vertical offense. I’m not expecting MVP Brady. But the talent at the skill positions allowed Winston to throw for 5K and 30 TDs. And Brady, even with his skills regressing, is still better than Winston. I see him playing well enough to lead Tampa to a playoff birth.

  36. I think at least a good part of Hicks point was that Kap was better than Glennon and should have been able to pick up a deal somewhere if not in Chicago had teams not sought to avoid the controversy he'd bring with him. Now what goes around has come around and the NFL has been forced to take their own stance on this. I think we may see a whole lot more guys kneeling in protest this year but as a team not just one man. I don't want to delve too deeply into politics here, though clearly I would like to. So just let me say you can only stretch a rubber band so far or compress a spring so

  37. I think the larger point with “Why can’t people just wear masks and the stadiums be open” is that people do not obey the rules and stadium crowds are way too large to possibly enforce such rules anyway. Go to your local grocery store, even with a mask requirement, and count how many people in there aren’t masked up. That’s the issue. It’s not the science. You’re putting forth a hypothetical in which 70,000 people act as a totally 100 percent well-behaved monolith. We know better than that. Memorial Day, as well as these protests, is all the proof you need.

  39. And as old-man as this sounds (ugh), there may actually be people on this forum who don't remember this first-hand: His last college football season was the first one that I distinctly remember, where the idea of an NFL team purposely tanking in order to acquire a player legit came up. I remember articles online, and shows, talking about how x or y team should tank the season in order to get Reggie Bush. People assumed he'd go number 1 overall, without a doubt. The Texans actually made their pick the night before the official start of the draft. I remember being out at the bars and being
