  2. And I believe the phrase is "One bad apple spoils nothing else all the other apples are fine." Police work isn't that dangerous. It's far more dangerous to be a garbage man. And I'm not saying they're all bad, but the vast majority, in my experience, seem to at least be willing to commit perjury on the reg. Which is kind of a felony, so.

I'm hoping for invisibility, but I will settle for mind reading, telekenisis, Wolverine claws with instant healing ability. I just hope I don't get screwed and grow a third ear.

  8. I could be reading this wrong and if I am then please tell me. I'm simply only responding based on how I interpret your post. I don't wanna get off-topic about a subject we can't discuss here but with all due respect dll, this is not about the police sir......it's about wanting to be treated equally as a whole. The police brutality is just the tipping point. And I don't see anything wrong with the NFL recognizing that we need a change and using their large platform to help raise awareness to a just cause. It's about getting the same opportunities as others. It's about being able

  10. Boy, I was screaming this all last season, I think we still need a you guy with upside and plenty of juice in his legs to come in and give quality reps like how Buffalo has Darryl Johnson, or Ade Aruna , or like when we had Armonty Bryant.

  12. sorry i didn't want to make a whole new thread and didn't want to bump a super-old Spielman thread but FootballOutsiders recently posted an article about drafting efficiency: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2020/nfl-drafting-efficiency-2010-2019 the vikings have the second best "draft return vs. draft capital" over the last five years, with KC being first (no shocker with players like mahomes, hill and chris jones). here's the summary of the article, which just highlights Rick's philosophy: i know that "10 pick rick" is a constant theme/joke but honestly giv

  14. I must be the only one who still have as much faith in Baker as I did when we drafted him. The heel turn he has taken for Browns fans after last year is pretty crazy to me. I mean, I know he didn't have a good year at all but do our fans think he's actually a bad QB now? Even if you isolate his one horrendously awful, worst-ever-season-for-a-QB (it's so heavily overblown to be bad and that's because of the hype), when was the last time we had a QB that did better? Josh McCown perhaps? Hoyer? We will be fine. He's the best QB we've had since Bernie - one bad year with crazy hype, 2nd

  15. Arizona's trajectory points back to their reopening date. As for the protests, we havent seen much evidence of spread...yet. It may take a few weeks for exponential growth to hit. Still, im holding out hope that many people were wearing masks because, as you said, being outside may help a bit, but i doubt it'll make much of a difference when every one is clustered and screaming. Hey! The positive is we may have more herd immunity making the second wave much smaller, or may we'll get lucky and this nasty little booger starts to burn out.

  16. Welcome to 2020, where people are now offended by cartoons. They need to change Elmer Fudd into a hipster vegan who passively stops Buggs Bunny from eating carrots that aren’t organic and Chase from paw patrol into a dog who wears a mask and practices social distancing and calls on mental health professionals to respond to Mayor Humdinger‘s conniving attempts to ruin the annual county fair by having groups of 10 or more.

  18. If Ryan Tannehill was able to get 6 years out of the Dolphins and Marcus Mariota got 4 out of the Titans--Baker will at least get the 2021 season regardless how this season goes. Mostly because he was the #1 pick in the draft and not a late 1st or 2nd rounder

  21. Have to agree with this. The league (along with the vast majority of observers) was higher on Haskins than Lock coming into the draft. Lock went almost a full round later than Haskins. So what happened last season that would cause Lock to jump up to 15th most coveted player in the entire league, while also causing Haskins to drop to undesired afterthought status, not even one of the top 32 available QBs? Lock must have hugely outplayed Haskins...right? Well, not so much. Take their starts and see how they stack up. Lock (5 starts): 64.1%, 6.5 Y/A, 7 TDs, 3 INTs, 89.7 rati

Dak was 5th in 2nd half Td's, Brady was 13th, Carr didn't make the cut. Dak also best Carr in 1st half T'd's

  26. Actually it’s Santa Clara County that hasn’t entered Phase 2 of their reopening plan. And NFL isn’t considered essential. https://www.google.com/amp/s/ninerswire.usatoday.com/2020/05/17/san-francisco-49ers-return-reopening-covid-19/amp/ the thing that isn’t hurting them is a lot of teams are finishing up their “O.T.A.” programs on Zoom and getting ready for training camp so not many teams are planning on entering the building until everyone can.

  27. Nope, I'm still here. Even with the ish show we had going on last year, he still had PFF's second highest % of big time throws (extremely difficult and important, made perfectly). He'll be just fine. Still think he's considered a top 8 QB by the end of 2021.

  30. Oxford partnered with AstraZeneca, which definitely qualifies as big pharma. Basically in order to get this thing mass produced (or really any drug mass produced), you need to partner with a major pharmaceutical company who has the type of capacity to make the drug themselves directly, or you need to outsource the production to any number of contract plants, which takes tons of up front cash. In addition, there are tons of manufacturing regulations (called GMPs, or Good Manufacturing Practices) that are relevant, and different regulatory bodies have different requirements for diffe

  32. I'll say this: I'm very pro vaccination. ...BUT: I'm not going to be in the first wave or people who get this vaccine, nor will my wife or children. Why would we? We aren't high risk, pre-existing condition, and I'm skeptical that they'd release this thing without knowing/accounting for some other side effects/other factors that would happen. Not much upside IMO.

  38. ESPN did a 4-round NFL “redraft” today where the writer for each of the 32 teams picked from the full roster of NFL players. I guess the idea behind They used the same order as the 2020 NFL draft (incidentally, the Redskins drafted Russell Wilson #2 overall; Mahomes of course went 1st). Anyway, Haskins was not among the 32 QBs drafted. Here are some other players and where they were drafted in this exercise: Joe Burrow (9th QB selected; 13th pick overall) Drew Lock (11th QB selected; 15th pick overall) Kyler Murray (13th QB selected; 17th pick overall) Teddy Bridgewa

  39. Not a surprise at all.. It's actually pretty coincidental you say that because a screen pass is literally #2 on my list of plays that I do NOT wanna see Nagy run to open the game. His scripted plays may be our best chance and I want him to get creative, not predictable. Given Nagy's 2 year history here, an outside run with Cohen or a screen pass are the two most likely play-calls--maybe even consecutively. And if I see either of them, I will punch the closest kitten I can find in the throat. The first play in the 2018 opener against the Packers was a crack toss to the left with Coh

  40. I would trade a 5th to Tampa Bay for Kendall Beckwith. He’s probably the best backup LBer in the game right now and has WLB/MLB versatility. He’s better than BJ Goodson and gives us something we don’t have: a proven run stuffer that can thump with guards. That being said, I think we will be fine without a star LBer. If we get Clowney, our run defense will be excellent. Our biggest problem last year was schematically we were so weak in the alleys. We didn’t have any safeties with balls. We brought in 3 safeties with big balls. Say what you want about Delpit’s form, but he flies around

  41. Still wondering if there are any FAs out there that the Browns have their eye on besides Clowney (which I dont think is going to happen) Said it a month ago but it still holds true---I would really really like them to go sign Clay Mathews for some sort of experience and stability at LB..

  43. The dude is a moron! He hates Baker as much as you bruce! lol "Eight and a half [is the Browns’ projected] over-under [win total]. Why is that?” Cowherd said. “Baker Mayfield’s maturity. Nobody knows if he’s mature enough." That is not why the over under win total is 8.5 you. There win total is mainly that because the Browns have yet another 1st time HC leading the team again.

  45. Let me first say that I am sorry this took me so long. Since 2004 this forum has had rules in place that prohibits the discussion of race. I’ve been trying to find a way to make a statement that fits within the boundaries of the rules and still conveys what I think needs to be said. It’s been impossible and so I now will purposely break the forum rules. Some will see me as a hypocrite. Some may say I’ve waited too long and it doesn’t matter what I say. I don’t care. If this makes a difference and helps change one persons mind it was worth it. So I will now add my small voice
