  1. agreed You want to be the spouse, not the bad guy Many of you here are younger, so here's a comment from an older dude. Over the course of your lives together its likely that the financial pendulum will swing in both directions. I came into our marriage with zero savings, but a job, she came in with significant savings but no job. Over the course of our 20 years together, she earned more than me sometimes, less than me in others. She stayed home to raise the kids, I was the sole earner. She went back into the workforce, and then I got laid off. It goes back and forth over time. But

  3. 2017 CB review Preface Using coaches film, I look at every single pass play a CB was involved in, and determine whether or not they did their job in coverage. This project was inspired by Cian Fahey who did a similar project a few years back, as he found that even the advanced targets and catches CB metrics many sites began putting out did not tell the whole story. Who were they covering? Was it actually their fault? Were they benefiting from poor QB play? A couple of notes about my process: For every eligible pass play, a CB either receives a "Success", "Shu

  5. Almost ashamed to say it, but this will be the first Madden in a long time that I won't be getting at launch. I'm not sure I will buy it since I have EA Access or whatever it's called, and I think Madden usually goes on there around 5 months after it comes out. Nothing new in franchise mode just killed the game for me. Plus no pre-season/ limited training camp has me at my lowest excitement for football in forever

  10. Day 5 thoughts. Harrison Bryant has phenomenal hands. DPJ has been great too. Donovon Olumba continues to stand out. He’s gigantic and runs well. Jacob Phillips was the best linebacker. He’s been a beast since the pads came on. Baker struggled. As a whole: Secondary is going to be the strength of our defense. Really like the CBs we have.

  12. I’ve used the exact same strategy the past five years. It hasn’t worked once. Sooner or later in the next ten years the Browns are going to accidentally win their first game, and when they do I won’t have the Browns in my survivor pool list to choose from and thus have a leg up in the competition.

  13. Zinc has long been used as an adjuvant therapy/home remedy for viruses and some were saying it may help with covid. https://www.uchealth.org/today/zinc-could-help-diminish-extent-of-covid-19/ Much like the data regarding the potential benefits of taking vitamin d, it’s not established as fact just yet, but it could be helpful. That said, both are cheap and there’s no reason not to take them in most cases, especially vitamin D. Pretty much everyone should be taking it, especially if you work indoors or in a northern climate.

  14. It’s gonna be impossible to know what’s going on with this team until after the opener. I quit paying attention to the Texans beat writers when for numerous seasons we heard “Fitzpatrick is on a whole other level” “Mallet has looked like the answer” “Osweiler is as advertised” blah blah blah “Tom savage has looked more prepared than Watson”.

  15. I've brought it up before a few times (too late in the off-season), but I think we should consider raising the maximum TE's allowed on a roster from 3 to 4 next off-season. We can: Start 1 QB, but roster 3. Start 3 WR's (with flex), but roster 8. Start 3 RB (with flex) , but roster 8. Start 1 D/ST, but roster 3. Start 1 Kicker, but roster 3. Start 2 (with flex) TE, but roster 3. We should add a TE spot to help rebuilding teams. It's a position that's extremely hard to find top end talent, and there's a growing number of athletic guys drafted in the

  18. I bought a Sharper jersey at a game years ago. Sharper picked off a pass in the end zone and tried to return it. Got out to the 8 yard line or so, got tackled and injured. Never played for the Pack again, and you know the rest of his story. Wasted $160 on that one!

  19. I would guess that this most often happens when neither party has filed for divorce, in which case draining a joint bank account definitely isn’t a felony. You may still eventually owe the other spouse money when the divorce is finalized, but the act of removing money from a joint account is not a crime.

  20. I think in general if you don't trust your spouse, things are going to be bad. And definitely everything you do has to ultimately come from a place of trust. So I fully agree with you on that you shouldn't be afraid that something bad is going to happen. But I also think personal financial autonomy is very important. For instance, recently I've spent like $600 on some collectables that I'm really interested in. We absolutely have the money to do that with no problem and it's not even going to come close to touching our financial stability in any way, but I would feel pretty crappy if I to

  21. I disagree with the bolded. KB isn't a stud number 1 by any means, but he's just the type of role player receiver any team would love. He excels at moving the chains and is good in the redzone. I for one am very happy we have KB this year and hope we can bring him back next offseason.

  23. Hey, don't worry that your spouse just took 10k from your joint savings account and fled the state, you'll get the money back when the divorce is figured out in 14 months. It doesn't matter that you have no money and the mortgage is due tomorrow, the courts will figure it out. It's no biggie.

  24. No...if your name is on a signature card at a Financial Institution, there is nothing that can be done if an authorized signer walked in and got a Cashier's Check for the full balance. There is recourse from a legal perspective, but that isn't overnight - that takes time and money (which is now gone...)

I like to think of them as Competitive Speed guys,Theres guy who run fast 40 that aren't fast, and there are the competitive guys who might run a 4.5 but would run a 4.3 covering someone running a 4.3.Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith both ran slow 40s and both will ask how often did you see someone catch me.

  31. I think a lot of it is symbolic. There’s this historic thing where people think that everything has to be shared, and I’m sure that aspect is playing into the mental aspect for her; that everything that’s supposed to be shared feels like it’s separate. Social norms are hard to work around when they’re engrained in you.
