  1. I understand the excitement, but Fitzpatrick has been playing well. Seems kind of stupid imo, but whatever.

  7. And as much as I despised him, I never disagreed with that. McCarthy and his clown car have proven themselves utterly incompetent. I was willing to give them a pass due to Covid-19, but not anymore. The team has literally tuned them out. That’s why you see the mistakes/turnovers on offense (fumbles, stone hands leading to INTs, poor pass protection) and the brutally poor performances on defense. They don’t understand the scheme, nor do they care; because they aren’t being coached. If Jerry has any balls, he’ll fire McCarthy immediately following the season.

  9. I don’t know how anyone is confused by this or thinks its out of left field. Tua would have been the week 1 starter if not for them taking his rehab slowly. It didn’t matter how well Fitz was playing or the team playing around him, Tua was going to start when he was ready. Now they have two weeks to install him as the starting QB, as well.

  10. I can't blame anyone for not watching the Fins play, because, well, they're the Fins. But nobody that has watched all the games could possibly come to the conclusion that Fitzpatrick has been good. He will have a play or two where he is impressive, but then turn around and throw into triple coverage and the DB somehow has the ball doink off his chest. I think it was the Seattle game where he would have thrown 5 INTs had it not been for drops by the defense. He was a fine bridge QB for Tua in a season where there were no preseason games. He allowed Tua to get up to speed with the NFL game a

  11. So, I'm going to take 3 years from now as the start of the 2023 season, as that specifically is important for certain contracts in this discussion. Absolutely, 100%, without a shadow of a doubt: Chiefs, Texans, Seahawks Chiefs, Texans, and Seahawks I think are the only three teams that have proven, consistently high performing QBs, that will still be under their current contract come 2023. I do think Wilson probably renegotiates by then, but there's almost no chance something doesn't get done there if it comes to that. Probably, but rookies: Bengals, Chargers I like

  17. As the general manager, my first priority would be building the best scouting department possible. Scouting of college prospects as well as pro prospects would be prioritized. Wilf is going to have to agree to having a top 3 in the league paid scouting department. It is going to take plenty money to lure the good guys from their current jobs. In order to better address that first priority, I will first answer the coaching question. I will hire a consulting firm to help select the head coach. Considerations will be paid to their desired offensive and defensive schemes and their philosophie

I didn’t know people still watched those late night shows. I can’t imagine watching it right now under the current climate of our country.

  22. This argument is completely irrational, especially considering how teams like Seattle, Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, LA, etc. have invested in the QB position but are still fielding competitive, and in some cases championship-caliber, teams. The issue is that the Jones haven't spent the other $167M very well. The team has a lot of money tied up in guys who are either a) injured and have a long history of injuries and b) under-performing and have been for a while. Then there's the issue with the team's recent drafts. They haven't drafted well. The club has hit on a handful of picks, but man

  23. Very fun negotiating with Counselor. Neither of us is trying to screw the other and we negotiated and got a good deal for both sides. Still looking for a WR, preferably from an owner who will behave similarly to the above. Also preferably ones with lower cap hits because it's probably going to be near impossible to get one done for a higher paid one based on my cap situation.

  25. We’ve seen the Cowboys quit during games before, but this...this was “you should fire your coaching staff and cut players immediately after the game” level bad. No one can salvage this season after crap we watched tonight, especially from the defense. No one doubted or questioned Prescott’s intangibles and leadership, but this sh!t show is proof positive that they not only can’t but WON’T win without him.

  26. Watchmen is copaganda that completely whiffs on capturing the themes of the comic, plain and simple. I haven't seen Lovecraft Country but I have heard it criticized a great deal for its heavy-handedness and failure to explore its themes in a way that says anything especially new. The Boys spends its entire 2nd season exploring the relationship between capitalism, American jingoism, and fascism. I don't know where you get off concluding that it 'briefly touches' on these issues when that's the overarching theme of the show.

  28. If you want to vote against late gameplans Ruskie that's fine, but you then have to be consistent about it. Bcb has been for about 3 years so that's not an issue. As a general stance, IRL stuff can get in the way so if someone wants to turn in a gameplan a couple hours late that's fine by me. And if you get an autoloss for submitting a gameplan 2 hours late then there's no point in writing a gameplan at all. However if you do submit a late gameplan, using results from the week is a no-no. That gets an autoloss for me.

  29. Its not just weed with him. Irving is legitimately crazy. His ex had to get restraining orders against him due to his behavior. Cops were called lots of times. Rumors of DV and that he had to keep paying her off as to not go to through the courts. Huge problems with authority. One of his suspensions he lit up a joint outside the Cowboys stadium next to a cop. All that said, on a per snap basis, he was one of the most talented and productive DT's in the entire NFL (including Donald) for a while. If his mind and body is right, the talent is 100% there.

  30. Once again, your argument is full of holes, and you continue to ignore them. There's no need to go forward with this conversation because of your complete dislike and bias against Dak. The team is worse than last year because of a lot of issues that go beyond Dak. What you have described is the ideal football team. Every team aspires to have a great OL, stud WR, an effective ground game, and a great defence. As such, what's the point of that? Brady doesn't win 6 SBs without a great defence, especially three out of the six he won. Manning doesn't win his two without a defence. Brees doesn't sn

  31. These are good questions, and I can't say I have the answers to all of them, but I'll throw in my best guesses because I think discussion is good fun: A huge chunk of Tampa's success against the run thus far was Vita Vea. Vea is easily the second best NT in football behind a healthy Clark, and I'm not sure the difference is even all that notable. Obviously David is an absolute stud, and White looks to be on his way there, but having one of the best DTs in football keeping you clean really helps. Their DEs are tough to move in the run game, but that's supposed to be what inside zone is

He went from best in the NFL in empty last year to worst in the NFL this year. Removing those splits and his numbers this year look identical to last year: And it looks like teams are blitzing him heavily on these plays, and Lamar is making bad reads consistently. There are two specific videos cited in the article, both where MAndrews is open on quick reads, but Lamar either panics and

  33. I suppose I wasn’t counting them as truly mobile to the point of a Murray. But I suppose you’re right on the collegiate level they’re definite dual threats. But along that same token then I think Kubiak has proven he can coach mobile style QBs. I mean his first breakthrough had him as Steve Young’s QB coach in his 1994 MVP season. He then followed that up by moving onto be the offensive coordinator/QB coach for John Elway... one of the more mobile QBs of the decade as well. Now for recent evidence, he’s definitely lacking I’d agree. I just think (and you seem to have picked up on tha

Man...if this was their thought process than they most definitely should have passed on Tua (as well as any team that has this thought process for that matter), thankfully it doesn't appear that's the case. If youre worried about one game of him playing a good but not great defense (with a dominant defensive lineman) than how the hell do you figure him being the long term answer?

  41. I still don't see how that Antarctica offensive line is improved. It's brutal - yeah Howard was an upgrade over DJ Fluker? Or whoever was at RT before him, but this is an OL that would struggle in the NFL, let alone the BDL. Kelly is obviously really good, but the other 4 starters would be among the worst, if not the worst in the BDL at each of their positions. I'm going with Seoul here 16 - 9 I've worked from home the past 2 days and I've watched 6 games. No QB is going to succeed when they're constantly facing pressure and the OL crumbles. We saw it with Dalton and Allen on MNF be
