  6. Plus he's about to get (for the first time since Oklahoma, where he was statistically one of the greatest college QBs in history) the same offensive system for two years in a row. And even more, an insane amount of offensive continuity. He's gonna freaking blow up next year, the offense is gonna be top 6 in the league with the line and run game plus Baker continuing to improve. I'm calling it. If he stays healthy all year, Baker ends up with 4400 yards, 34 TDs, and 8INTs. And that's minimum on yards and TDs. I got yards by applying the rate from the last 7 games last year (post weather an

This was inspired by @Mind Character, @Horseunit and my two guys @LETSGOBROWNIES and @NudeTayne…….dang yall, while I’m writing this, I have a very cute neighbor…and very thing walls…..I think she’s over there “Double Clicking her Mouse Button” in an urban dictionary sort of fashion…..Interesting……I digress. Now my thoughts abound like so….we have a team, that made the divisional round of the playoffs and took the defending world champions and eventual Superbowl

  19. Nightmare is exactly the word I'd use. I'm waiting to wake up and know this was all a dream and Watson is eager to get to work in Houston with Jack Easterby gone, Cal McNair back in the background, Omar Khan at GM and Matt Eberflus as HC. Seriously, just wake me up please... It's seriously killing all passion I have for football, I'm simply not into it with this cloud hanging over our heads. People are trying to talk about a haul for Watson, how good Zach Wilson or Tua Tagovailoa could be, how Quinnen Williams or Xavian Howard would be for our defense - it's all white noise to me, because

  20. This is all my opinion, since like you said, we don't have a similar study for Moderna. In general, I think the CDC, and I'll particularly call out Dr. Fauci, have really tried to combat the bad faith, anti-science subculture in America by only reporting what they can directly prove. I'm assuming part of this has been the reaction from that population to comments like the January, "don't wear masks" stuff that we still hear about. Anyone looking at that with a shred of intellectual honestly would realize the CDC's primary concern was making sure when someone's dad has a heart attack, his

  21. @diamondbull424 I don't think it has to be that drastic. No matter what, EDC isn't going to get anything less than the top package of picks/compensation available to us. No FO is ever going to fleece us. If EDC accepts a deal where we get a Late 1st and 3rd in exchange, then I have no reason to believe that wasn't the best offer out there. With trades like this there's always so many variables we just can't know about as fans. How is OBJ perceived around the league?- despite how he looks on paper. Has Orlando become adamant about not playing for us in 2021? There's a lot of movi

  24. The season started out bad with only Ngakoue doing anything. Mid-way through Odenigbo and Wonnum woke up. It looked OK, and then this happened. The last 4 games: Bucs: 26 pts -- 2 Qb hits (Watts, Brailford) -- 0 Sacks Bears: 33 pts -- 0 Qb hits from the DL -- 0 Sacks from DL Saints: 52 pts -- 1 Qb hit -- 1 Sack from Shamar Stephen Lions: 35 pts -- 1 QB hit -- 1 Sack from Mata'afa The end of the season was particularly atrocious. This team's glaring weakness is its inability to rush the QB. I'm not on the Wonnum Hype train. His play tailed off from his mid-s

  29. It's garbage because you don't agree? Do I have that right? I think it's a valid argument to say a bad team who collapsed in back to back years shouldn't be looked at as anything more than what their record indicates. Who cares that you beat KC, NO, Cleveland and almost KC again when you limped to an 8-8 finished and missed the playoffs.... again. When this team can beat teams when it matters in December, then maybe we can talk about who they beat. Right now... it's meaningless. A couple wins in another losing seasons. As relevant as Bruce Gradkowski beating the mighty Steele

  30. Steelers grab a RB and a NT what is this the 70s? Na but in the division the ravens and browns run the ball very effective... So you must stop the run We did trade for Malcolm Brown but he's in a contract year and signed dontari Poe but who knows what he has left in the tank Alim will give us a good young NT under control for some years and maybe he can develop some pass rush moves, and at the very least help keep Devin Bush and Jayon Brown clean

  32. With the 51st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Washington Football Team selects Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss - D-0147 Moore will provide a great speed and slot presence for the team. It may be a little high in some eyes, but he'll produce for us in Scott Turner's offense.

  37. Like the player a lot. I just don't like the idea of taking a LB so high--especially an OLB. Koramoah would be a welcomed addition to our team, but I doubt our FO does it. I'd take JOK over Collins all day because JOK is a legitimate coverage pieces that can play Man/Zone. I'd like the pick, but we'll see if we go NEED over POSITIONAL VALUE. Great athlete that covers at a high level. I'd be all for bringing in another S in round 2. I like Paris Ford a little more, but it's splitting hairs. Holland's a more talented cover player. Might be my favorite slot CB candidate outside of

  41. Maybe he really is the next AB but gotta say unless he really is that special kind of player I'm not super keen on bringing in another midget at WR. On the other hand we whiffed passing up the last stud Ole Miss WR's to come out so maybe it's not a mistake we want to make again. I think I'd feel better about targeting a player like Moore if we sign a bigger outside receiver in FA and Moore would be brought in as direct competition with Duvernay rather than either playing Boykin a lot or rolling with the tiniest 3 wideout sets in the league if it's Hollywood/Moore/Duvernay.

  42. Facts are facts. Anyway. I don't personally want Russell. He's older and more expensive. If he can't learn the offense right away then our offense might stay essentially the same level it currently is. Just my opinion. I really think long term we wouldn't end up any better off. Not with all the picks we'd have to trade away to get him. Maybe a slight upgrade but I'm still more concerned with building our defense.

  43. But lets admit - this less money is still an artificial construct. NFL teams still turned a profit from this season based on TV contracts/revenue. Maybe not as big a profit as previous years, but a profit nonetheless. Creating a shorter ceiling for the cap isn't based on actual dollars lost - just the perception of monies lost. All 32 teams ended in the black, thanks to the Network dollars. The cap has always been an artificial construct for owners to say "welp, I can't pay you anymore so... good luck!" which is OK, all things considered (nobody wants a Yankees or Dodgers). But to restric

  44. I don't say anything as a criticism of Dr. Fauci personally, and I hope my post isn't viewed as me turning on him or anything like that. I get what he's doing and I understand why he's doing it. My frustrations are with the situation he finds himself in, and more generally that scientists feel powerless to reassure people with 99.999% confidence because of how segments of the population react if the 0.001% happens. The guy has been through work stress that I can't even imagine this past year; I have nothing but empathy for him.

Also, my wife who is a scientist studying ARDS (not a virologist, but still has way more knowledge regarding sciency stuff than 95% of the population) has been saying the same thing regarding transmission, but admits we needed more data before I can go to the bar for a brew as she's not yet vaccinated. Thank god for Israel!

  48. I see it like this. You don't give up a ton of resources for a QB unless you are ONLY a QB away from being an SB contender and I can't really say that we are with a straight face. Next year in 2021...maybe. But after that....no. The defense is going to have to retool. Pace and Nagy have to make a change with the QB position to save their jobs, but their options are also very limited at this point. And let's be honest, this QB choice is going to be ALL on Nagy and who he feels is best fit for the system . The only QBs available that would make a real difference are going to cost way
