  3. Yes, because we all know that when someone is 50, the accurate way to describe them in literally any situation is by referring to them as a “former 40 year old”.

  5. Am I saying contradictory things? No, it's literally everyone else in the thread reading what I'm saying that's wrong. That is where we're at, at this point. You contradict yourself on one page, then hedge for 5-10 posts to try to change what you previously said to not be contradictory. You did not agree that Funchess was signed to be the 3 or 4. You said, again, that you 100% agree, that "Allen Lazard is the Packers #3. Funchess would've been our #4 last year or this year." That is what you agreed to. There is no, "he was signed to be...." or "he had potential to be" or "he could've..."

  7. You literally said you 100% agree that Funchess would have been the #4 last year, despite saying that he was the front runner for the #2 just the day prior, and that the stats conclusively show he was good enough to be the #2.

  8. 19 pages of Megatron vs Edelman, 38 for Tebow, and now 20 about Devin Funchess. Preseason can't get here soon enough.

  9. I agree with both of you as well. This is the best shot we have ever had at finally putting an end to this miserable QB run. Don't rush the process and mess him up by throwing him to wolves too soon and ruining it before it even gets started. That's what preseason is for. Last year, before COVID, Nagy talked about the importance of preseason games and how much it means in terms of evaluation. Use this time to wisely to make the smarter decision. I think we end up seeing a Lamar Jackson-esque approach. They'll start Dalton to see if the offense can work well enough with him while Fields

  10. A 30 year old who hasn’t been in the league for years switching positions to TE got a workout with a team ran by a guy who used to run a team he was on, and might get a camp invite? Yeah, 30 pages should be easy.

  11. excellent! and if any of those gals noticed you were making friends with the guys there too, that works in your favor. they don't want a rogue wolf, they want a social animal. but a civilized one. no howling.

  12. I’m totally fine with that so long as the reason Dalton is playing is because he gives us the best chance to win that week, and not because they promised him he’d start in March. Even one game started by Dalton under that premise alone is too many. The players who give us the best chance to win should play at every position, but especially at QB. If Andy Dalton was a difference making QB he would have had a bidding war for his services in the FA market this offseason. He’s not, and he didn’t.

  13. You cannot simultaneously 100% agree that he would’ve been the #4 last year [an exact quote that you said you 100% agreed with] and that he would have earned #2 reps [your exact quote here]. This is a blatant contradiction. You cannot simultaneously 100% agree that he would have been behind Lazard, Valdes-Scantling and Adams so that he would be the #4, and then also tell everyone that the evidence conclusively supports that he would have been the #2 on the team. The fact that you’re twisting this as somehow not diametrically opposed ideas is absolutely ridiculous. It’s also hi

  14. A trade to SF wasn't possible on draft day. SF had already given away all of their future assets to move up to 3. That was never a thing.

  16. All of our starting/key contributor offensive skill position players are either 1st or 2nd round picks - Sutton (2), Hamler (2), Jeudy (1), Fant (1), Gordon (1) and Williams (2) and 4 of our OL - Bolles (1), Risner (2), Cush (3), Meinerz (3) - are top-3 round picks. Meinerz will likely either replace Glasgow next year or, possibly, play RG with Glasgow moving to center if Cush keeps struggling. That group, even if we lose one in the trade for Aaron, instantly makes this team a Super Bowl contender when he arrives. The point about changing the offense to Aaron’s offense, so what? A

  17. Sure the Vikings DL will not have all these guys make the roster on the defensive line, but still hard to find a group in the last 20 years or so on the Vikings DL that is this deep and talented. Most likely Brailford, Holmes and maybe Watts or Mata'afa are done for but still maybe some will surprise and stick around. Still that DE talent is crazy, Hunter is a given but having five possibly 6 potential starters opposite Hunter is impressive, a lot of possible options out there. Weatherly is a nice veteran addition but adding Jones and Robinson really takes the group over the top

  19. I'm probably just confusing leagues. I didn't think there was necessarily anything concrete. What's in question? Whether teams are colluding by working out trades prior to the opening of the league year? As someone else mentioned, I think we could look to the NFL... It's illegal but everyone does it and people turn a blind eye. I've definitely been involved in trade talks this off-season but nothing has materialized.

  20. I mean, James Jones isn't wrong. He's clearly Aaron Rodgers' puppet (and that's coming from someone who likes James Jones). That was leaked by Rodgers' agent. I'm not even sure how that's up for debate.

  26. personally, i dont think you should post full articles to pay sites. i think a portion or two is fine, it diminishes the work that the writers put into and it makes it less likely people pay for their work. one of my favorite writers/twitter personalities is shea serrano - he always says that if someone produces something you enjoy, support them so they can keep doing it. that always stuck with me. i've bought a hoge and jahns shirt, pre-ordered HIP-HOP (and other things), other swag from podcasts i like, etc... just a personal opinion of mine. do what you want

  29. Borom reminds me of when the Packers drafted Josh Sitton...no one had a clue who he was...if I remember right NFLN didn't even have a grade on him...but when people started to look into his physical talents, analytics & tape the pick made a lot of sense... Borom is a 6-6" 330lbs OT who has position and scheme versatility and didn't allow a sack in the SEC last year against some really good defences...why was he not on more people's radar? Some of these guys just fall through the cracks a little...also why 30% of the NFL is made up of undrafted players.

  30. Just doing the final adjustments on this years settings before the league opens: We will be changing to FAAB for wavers this year, Each GM will have $133 to spend for the year. Also increased the Maximum TE's we can have on our roster from 3 to 4. Good luck to ALL this year!!

  31. I don't think it is the hot, but the greasy grade d meat. I just had a stomach ache and kinda felt like I had to poop or puke but it wasn't clear which. One thing that gets everybody, and I have no problem with, is White Castle. I can eat those little things until I almost pop, and the only problem I have is my waste has the overwhelming scent of those dehydrated onions (which is mostly cabbage, fun fact).

  33. Not related to stomach issues but, my dad, when he was younger, was drunk on Sambuca while in Sicily (or Italy, can't remember which), and puked so hard he hit his head on the toilet and cracked the sucker (both the toilet and his head). Blood was everywhere from what I've been told by his Air Force buddies that were there. This was like 1985.

  35. I think one thing that's getting less talk than it deserves is that there's a specific 2021 window in play here from a roster standpoint. It's the last year every player drafted in this 2018-2020 youth reset will be cheap. After this season, Chubb and Sutton will both be on the books for significant money. We also have five high level veteran defensive players on expiring contracts in Von Miller, Kareem Jackson, Kyle Fuller, Bryce Callahan and AJ Johnson. Might be a smooth transition replacing a couple of those guys, but all four? There's a strong chance this is the best group Fangio will be a

  36. A number one receiver vs a guy who, despite being a lock to make the Jags roster, is still just a middling starting TE/3rd down QB is hardly a fair comparison.
