  2. Earnest Byner in "The Fumble" game. The Browns erased a 18 point deficit in that game largely on the back of Byner. He had 187 combined yards and two TDs leading up to that fumble. It's a shame that he gets most of the blame for that loss.

  3. I was just thinking about the 1998 NFC Championship. I had rewatched the entire broadcast a few days ago. Everyone knows about the Gary Anderson missed kick. After I had finished watching the game again, I was thinking to myself that in the eyes of NFL history Gary seems to get a lot of heat for missing that kick. But if you watch the game the Vikings even after that miss allowed the Falcons to drive down the field for a touchdown, kneeled to go to overtime, and had two drives in overtime themselves where they failed to move the ball past midfield, and had to punt twice. It's just weird that G

  5. It was 47 yards on grass in 1991. Kickers were 11 out of 27 from beyond 40 in Super Bowls before his attempt. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/14715726/most-impactful-plays-super-bowl-history-led-malcolm-butler-interception-nfl 2 minute drill from the Bills 10 Kelly went 2 for 3 for 10 yards and ran 3 times for 18 yards. Thurman Thomas ran twice for 33 Don't blame Thurman but split the blame on the other 2 guys. Its not like Kelly had 2 HoF WRs and a HoF RB... They dumped Norwood but kept Kelly. That worked out well in future Super Bowls. A 56.9 rate

  7. Very interesting. So, the quality of the OLineman still matters, but the stats may be misleading. Good to know.

  11. So Tanya is appointed Co-CEO right before the investigations drops informing Dan that he must not be involved in day-to-day operations for 3 months? So the person who is going to be involved is: His wife? Whom he's still married to? Who lives in the same house and sleeps in the same bed? And they think this means he won't actually be involved in day-to-day operations? I mean I love the child-like thinking there. Or perhaps they know he will but want to give the patina of plausible deniability (even if it's really not plausible)?

  13. You've got it backwards, my man. Beth Wilkinson is one of the best lawyers in the country. The fact that the NFL doesn't want a written report is damning. Lawyers put everything in writing, unless it can hurt you or your client. The NFL is protecting Snyder by not putting the report in writing. It means that what happened is really, really bad, and they don't want the media having access to a long report documenting every terrible thing when the owners aren't willing to force Snyder out. The lack of a written report is a huge win for Snyder. Trust me, he's not upset about it.

  16. The CGI seemed purposely bad, which was weird at first, but made sense after the reveal. The active choice of bad CGI and what fog that looks like it came from a normal fog machine was pretty clever. Also, with all the interdimensional portals, overall intrigue, and the pretty tight plot, you can absolutely feel the Rick and Morty influence that Michael Waldron has brought to this series. I dig it.

  17. Week 15 1996 the AFC-leading 12-1 Broncos lost to the 10-3 Packers....it was seen as a potential Super Bowl 31 preview until the Broncos got upset by the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars....if the two teams met at Super Bowl 31, who would have won? 1996 Broncos at Packers Week 15 - YouTube

  19. Some of the people over there just create some of the most insane narratives. Triumph talking about opportunity cost like taking Loui and having only ten million available will cost us McDavid when he suddenly becomes available for peanuts lol

  20. The rigidity people use in their stances is bizarre over there. Triumph basically saying we shouldn't trade for a cap dump because a second round pick is only worth 1m is just a preposterous take. Like, I don't want our primary goal this off-season to be to trade for Loui's contract at a second round pick, but value is insanely fluid and subjective. If we aren't going to use cap / dollars and will just lose it, then a second round pick is more valuable than 4.875 million in cap for one year, regardless of what advanced analytic gives a second round pick a 1m value in a vacuum.

  26. Oh and by the way, Danielle Hunter is the youngest player in NFL history to reach 50 sacks. Yeah he is kind of good. Granted maybe he sucks coming off that injury and is never the same player again, but if not and instead is full charged up, he could mess some dudes up this year.

  27. Trent Williams [2 GS]: 0 pancakes, 4 sacks allowed, 0 stuffs allowed Mike McGlinchey [2 GS]: 2 pancakes, 2 sacks allowed, 1 stuff allowed The great "New Owner Trade" Debate continues with a check-in. It's only week 1 post-trade, but so far not a huge drop off from Williams to McGlinchey and Chubb to Ekeler. Trent Williams has as many sacks allowed so far as Nick Cannon has kids. We'll see if the trend continues.

  29. Ummm Danielle Hunter much? If Nick Bosa gets a pass after missing all of last year why would Danielle Hunter not get similar treatment? By the way Nick Bosa has 9 sacks in his career, Danielle Hunter has 54.4 and 14.5 each of the past two seasons before missing all of 2020. So excluding Donald lets go TJ Watt Danielle Hunter Myles Garrett Joey Bosa Chase Young Oh and by the way everyone is instantly Myles Garrett, Myles Garrett as the best pass rusher outside Donald. But he is only one year younger than Danielle Hunter and Hunter has had a b

  32. That wasn't me. When he plays well I give him props and when he plays bad I will call him out. Considering how terrible our D was last year and how little proven talent he had to work with on O I feel that Carr had a fantastic year, a better year than Brady would have had with our team.

  33. True but ripping on Zimmer was not a great idea for Griffen to do at all, if he would have not said a word either way he probably would already be back with the team and possibly they would have gave that money to him instead of giving it to Weatherly. And cutting Janarius Robinson with the wrong assumption he would make it to the PS, which he would not clear waivers I believe. Well that would be flat out stupid, they could have used that 4th round pick on a guy like Royce Newman who has potential for the Packers OL, or got a guy like Sherwood at safety who is a big time striker, Brevin

  36. Sounds that way but I think it would be dumb to let Leiter fall past them even if he is trying to price his way to the Red Sox. I feel like our farm system is now bare for pitching but stronger with bats so adding another stud pitcher would be helpful there. Plus he will be ready when Boyd is gone which is perfect timing and should give us a pretty darn good rotation with Mize, Skubal, Turnbull, Manning, and Leiter. Not to mention some pretty good bats to match. Drafting a high school SS is so hard to project, and hopefully we arent picking this high again for a while so get an elite prosp

  41. I was just curious as to how people would vote and what their rationale would be. I too side with Murphy. I don't really like him, but he's done nothing wrong. Neither has Ball, neither has MLF. Rodgers is acting like a child right now. Maybe it is "fixable" as Kuhn, Jones and others have stated. But if that "fix" including canning anyone in power, it's an easy pass for me. I'll take losing a few more games this year. I'll even take flat out sucking this year versus giving into Rodgers demands, if that including firing someone.

  42. Yeah that's definitely implied and easy to believe. Billions of years would make the TVA think they're untouchable. And tbh I'm not so sure this isn't going to be some Wizard of Oz man behind the curtain bit wit the Timekeepers. It is rather strange tho that Loki using the Tesseract to escape custody is such an egregious violation of the sacred time stream yet the Avengers' multiple instances of time-hopping were not only allowed, but judicially affirmed. Yet in Endgame, there were actions that would have caused the timelines to diverge. So while he did drop Mjolnir back off in Asgar

  43. I would have to think at this point the NFL has realized the juice isnt worth the squeeze. Feel bad for this dude, million dollar talent, 2 cent brain. Seriously could have been thought of in the same breath as Julio and AJ Green, instead hes wasted it.
