  1. I was always way behind on the consoles. Mom would wait until she could find one second-hand. Finally got the Super Nintendo just to play Street Fighter II, but it just didn't feel the same. I got so used to the joystick.
  2. Oh, wow. I had completely forgotten about Killer Instinct. If I remember correctly, I played with Glacius quite a bit. Street Fighter II was my go-to, mostly because for 25 cents, I could run through the entire game and beat it in almost exactly 45 minutes. Ken was my go-to, but could beat the game with anyone. Chun-Li was my second favorite. So, it was a great time waster at the arcade or waiting for a parent to finish shopping if the game was at the store.
  3. Game-wise, I preferred Street Fighter II as a kid over Mortal Kombat, but as far as movies go, MK knocks it out of the park. This movie was better than I thought it was going to be. And, I absolutely love that they're trying to franchise/universe/whatever you want to call it. Single, stand-alone movies are fine, but I love a good trilogy set to binge on a weekend. Hopefully, I'll be adding these to my rotation someday.
  4. And, I wouldn't have an issue with the Sunday Ticket, but I don't like getting locked into a contract to use a service I never used other than for the sole purpose of watching football. It took an act of the gods and congress to get away from DirecTV. Even then, they came up with some fee I supposedly didn't pay, even though my balance was zero on my last statement, and got sent to collections without ever even trying to contact me via mail, email, phone, etc... No...I'm not bitter, why do you ask? lol
  5. It was definitely one of my favorites, but the only consoles I've ever owned were Atari 2600, Atari 7200, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo 64. I went straight from the N64 to PC for all my gaming addictions. My roommates and I spent a LOT of time on the N64.
  6. Never even heard all these quarterbacks' names until this thread, so I'm very indifferent to the pick. When I see Lance on the field, I'll have more to say, I guess. The tape I've seen so far looks good, though. Just gotta trust Kyle knowing he's putting it all on the line. The capital we gave up for this pick puts a lot of eyes on him. All the stuff, pre-draft, about who picked who, mock drafts, controversies, etc.. crack me up. We live in a social media world now. They live and die by reactions and comments. Safe picks don't generate any of that. Of course they're going to stir
  7. I wasn't able to watch today's game because of work, but what a great comeback from 17 points down to winning by 8....without Mitchell. Pacers held to 42 points in the second half. Rudy tallied 22 rebounds after starting off slow. Nice win.
  8. This has been a fun read considering I haven't watched a college game since Steve Young played for BYU. I haven't even heard these young guys' names until a few hours ago. So, I'll just say that I hope we hit on whoever we pick.
  9. I have mixed feelings about this. It makes me worried about our offensive line. Also, however, the price tag was pretty steep. Which could work in our favor. I'm just not sure how it all balances out at the end of the day.
  10. Best start in franchise history. Best record in the NBA. Beating decent teams by double digits. And, this thread is dead. Yep, that's the Utah market for you. 😂 Anyway, I haven't been able to watch every game, but have watched the last two. They're getting production from just about everyone, not just Mitchell. Clarkson has a legit shot at 6th man. Not counting my chickens before they're hatched, but this year looks promising so far.
  11. That sucks. I bet a lot of quarterbacks would love time and a half pay.
  12. Before the diabeetus diagnosis, I drank about a gallon of orange juice a week. Never was a fan of pulp, though. My muscles involuntarily react to solids hitting my tongue and other parts of my mouth while I'm drinking. I'd be fine with it otherwise.
  13. Not specifically about the game itself, but man, I miss the old days when the Cardinal's forum was more active. Their most recent post was from week 10. Had a lot of great people in there and enjoyed their perspective on the games when we played each other. Plus, I live within 5 minutes of freeway to the stadium here in Phoenix. Kind of wild, really. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US, but almost no forum participants, and their team is starting to ramp up with good quarterback play, finally. We have internet here, I swear! I have gigablast from Cox!
  14. His quote made me curious about something: He said Rice is either "3rd or 4th." If he puts Rice at 4th, who do you think he's putting in at 3rd? I may be extremely biased by saying Rice is my 1st, no questions asked, but like.... I'm having a really hard time putting 3 guys ahead of him, even if it's just for giggles. Megatron, maybe? Longevity isn't there, but he did have the dominance there for a while. Fitz? An argument could be made, I suppose.
  15. At least we have his Twitter rants to look forward to.
  16. Since I work in IT, my go-to analogy for this is like computer diagnostic software. If the diagnostic test says something failed, it's probably right. If it comes back good, it means absolutely nothing. PFF generally works like this, too. If they're rated very low, it's generally dead-on. If they rank high, you might still need to dive into more context to get a clearer picture.
  17. Didn’t realize until I hit the button. Edited immediately. Sorry!
  18. Without the turnovers, we’d be blowing them out. Wild.
  19. On a personal note, it will be kind of cool having some games here in Arizona. That stadium is like 5 minutes of freeway from me. It takes longer to get out of my neighborhood. lol Not that I'm going to the games, but still cool to have them here.
  20. Honestly, there was some great highlight reel stuff. 2 or 3 ridiculous catches. That one-handed scoop that was almost on the ground al....almost made up for how bad the special teams play was. We were also up 10-0 at one point. Defense played lights out for quite a while. They can only do so much, though. We didn't lose as bad as I thought we would, but honestly, the game was worse than the score makes it look. Excited for a Mostert return. He's becoming one of my favorites on the team. Shanny's offense can make just about any RB look decent, but Mostert....he just seems to fi
  21. I just don't see how we hold Brees to 20 points with zero pass rush. We're always in shootouts with him even when we have a phenomenal pass rush. And, if they get ahead early, which is very possible, we're airing it out with....Mullens? Beathard in the fourth quarter? I don't even know what we're doing with quarterbacks anymore. And, we're not going to have Mostert, our leading rusher(despite missing 5 games) to help keep long drives going and keeping Brees off the field. I want to be optimistic, but I'm having a hard time seeing a scenario where we beat them, let alone by two touch
  22. Welp. This is going exactly how I pictured it in my head. At least my day started great. 10 year anniversary at work. Got a plaque and a nice bonus check.
  23. Looks like we posted at the same time. I responded to Pugger and basically said the same things. Thank you for some more context. I haven't really been following Green Bay all that much. Which is why I asked the question in the first place. Good luck tonight!
