  1. So because he tried to stay up instead of going down at first point of contact means he flopped? That take is probably more ridiculous than the no goal.
  2. How is this simulation lol. He got pushed from behind and kicked twice
  3. Probably the worst call I have ever seen in soccer. https://streamja.com/6pQA
  4. I'm fine with it. Creates entertaining groups like Group F.
  5. Mings called up to England 😉
  6. Not here to overreact but we winning champions league next year
  7. Agreed, don't think they will finish out of the top 8/10 but I can see them struggling early while trying to find the right lineup. Also with Europe, they could get messed up with a heavy match load.
  8. Agreed but ManU have at least Pogba, AWB, and McGuire who could start or challenge for a spot in 2 of those teams. Arsenal have their front 3 and a ton of good young players. Arsenal and ManU are decently far behind the other 3 but chelsea is just as far away from ManU and and Arsenal. Edit: Only reason Dave could start for Tottenham is they are essentially trotting out a youth player in that position I wouldn't be surprised to see Chelsea outside of the top 10 by christmas.
  9. https://mobile.twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1161168659861127169?s=09 Good thread. Shows how inept Ivan and Wenger were with the transfer window.
  10. Chelsea didnt have any world class players play on Sunday. They have 1 on their roster (kante). Seriously I dont think outside of Kante and maybe Dave for Tottenham I dont think any of their starters could start for MC, liverpool or tottenham. They're garbage this year and need to rebuild
  11. Chelsea aren't very good.
  12. The biggest shame was the score ending 3-1 because the defense played great. And I disagree with you that it was a pretty poor game from Grealish (outside of 1 run that could've ended in a goal). Constantly making poor passes not linking defense to attack and he basically threw away the game getting dispossessed at the top of the box. Agree about goals, that was my big concern. What I read about Wesley (the striker who constantly fell to the ground) was that he was strong in possession (didn't see that in the first game) but didn't score many goals. Trezeguet looked nice yesterday but again looks like he has no end product. Which is going to put a lot of pressure on our midfield to score (which they can). I really wish we were able to secure Benrahma I really think he could be a difference-maker but we will see and there is a lot to be optimistic about after that game.
  13. Why they giving us this minnow club to start the premier league
  14. So yesterday var delayed the game and today they had a pixel of someone's foot offsides. I have said it for years var. is. ****. Let's all go back to yelling at the refs
  15. United did improve but their team is still much worse than Tottenham. Maybe next year they can challenge y'all but I just don't see it happening this year. Chelsea is in a rebuild type mode so I really think the top 4 is set with Citeh, Liverpool, Tottenham, then Arsenal.
  16. I think you tried, didn't like his price then opted for Luiz. I don't think you make the Luiz deal if you pick up Upamecano.
  17. Since Kante, LC has the most out of their transfers. Drinkwater 35M, 'arry for 85M, Mahrez for 60M, Musa for 20M. If only they could bring in good transfers lol
  18. Burnley shouldn't surprise anyone. They were floating around 15 to 19th till about December/Febuary. Then they lost their best GK and didnt sign anyone major. They had the 4th or 5th worst goal diff last year I just see them as a stoke/Sunderland that just stay up for a few seasons scraping by
  19. Let's get dem prediction going 1. Citeh- sets points record again 2. Liverpool- not even close to Citeh and could fall to Tottenham/arsenal if those teams shore up defense 3/4. Arsenal and Tottenham- I dont see anyone else getting close to the top 4 5. ManU 6. Chelsea- Hazard cant carry them anymore 7. Everton- wouldn't be shocked if they passed chelsea. I think they had the best window 8. Leceister city 9. Wolves 10 to 14. West ham, Norwich, Palace, Watford, Villa- no one will give a **** about these teams and they wont be in relegation danger in April 15/16. Bournemouth, Burnley, Southampton 18/19/20 Sheffield, Newcastle and Brighton Now you can all laugh in april/may about these predictions
  20. Pretty happy with Villas transfer season. Jota and wesley look like good players in the preseason (wesley could be a stud), resigned two of the 4 biggest players from last season (Mings and El Ghazi) reinforced weak area (LB and CB), made a decently splashy signing in Douglas Luiz (Pep really like him and he was the captain for one of the Brazil youth teams) and then got some nice backups for cheapish fees (Trézéguet and whomever ends up at back up CB). Now we just signed a pretty strong keeper in Heaton. Obviously not all of these will workout and it is a bit nerve wracking having so many transfers in one season but its promising. Also 3 out the 11 transfers were on the team last year and 7 out of the 11 were signed very early in the transfer window and had pretty much a full off season with the team. Before I thought there was a pretty high chance in going down but I'm optimistic for once, especially with the Heaton signing. I see Brighton, Newcastle, Southampton, and Sheffield much worse than Villa. So I would say a 12th to 15th finish as likely.
  21. You're right in he was drastically overpaid but you're wrong in your reasoning (or at least awkwardly phrased it). The reason he wasn't getting games at Bournemouth was because of his injuries, he wasn't playing like **** then got injured. He had a back injury that sidelined him for a season plus recovery and then the aforementioned knee injury which took him out for a year and a half (or maybe it was knee then back? Can't remember). Mings, when fit, is a very good CB and a type of moneyball signing teams should make. The problem? We paid or less what his top value is for when there was no other bidder. Villa should have said 12 million with it raising to 15 or 18 and if they said no walked away. I love what Mings did for Villa last season (he was arguably the most important player for Villa since Jack or McGinn could carry the offensive load but Mings was the rock and soul of the defense) but half a healthy season for an injury-prone player scares the **** out of me. Also, and I said this before he joined Villa, that stomping ban was complete bull**** and was totally given because of the fan/media overreaction. /ending villa rant see you all in 3 weeks.
  22. Lavelle has been magnificent all tournament.
  23. lol, so being a POC mean you know exactly what a woman goes through? There are different types of privilege and if you don't want to talk about sports and politics that's perfectly OK but if Rapino, Lebron, Kap want to then they have right to.
  24. Im not sure if this is going under the radar but the Suns just traded TJ Warren and the 31st pick for cash lol
