  1. From Klis I understand it was more than ACL on Sutton’s knee
  2. Again from Klis "Relatively good news on QB Drew Lock: He does have rotator/labral issue in back of shoulder. Out 2-6 weeks"
  3. Klis is reporting that Sutton ******-up his knee and is done for the season
  4. Broncos have picked up OT Darrin Paulo off waivers
  5. Can't see Jake Butt making it to the practice squad
  6. Finding a good Tackle is not easy - it is a problem for most teams in the NFL. Elway has tried it all - the biggest gripe I have is that he refused to consider signing Whitworth 3 years ago - he has been stellar for the Rams over those three years and has just signed another 3 year contract.
  7. Look likes Hamler might miss 4 weeks
  8. Wilkinson will have to make a big step forward if he is to start over Dotson
  9. Cap saving this year is $13million and while he has not done much of anything in Denver - this does leave a big hole on the OL.
  10. Big question - is this Elway's decision or did it come from Ellis?
  11. If we don't resign Bolles I expect Elway to find a better LT somewhere, either by splashing the cash or through the draft. It is obvious to everyone that we have a chance of being competitive in 2021 and to do that you need a LT.
  12. I have to say that I was really rooting for Kelly - the guy had so much potential, but clearly his head was never right. He is on the Colts roster and hopefully he can sort himself out and become a decent pro.
  13. Sometimes you need a bit of luck in the draft. Yes Elway could have tried to trade up and drafted Mahomes - but nine other teams passed on him before the Chiefs picked him, including the Bears who traded up to 1.2 to take Trubisky - and don't forget that the Chiefs did trade up from 1.27 to get him.
  14. Or maybe Siemian was just a better QB than Lynch.
  15. Kyle blew everyone away during his Broncos interview - Ellis blocked the appointment because he didn't want a Shanahan in the building. He did the same the year after when Elway wanted to bring back Mike.
  16. 1. Wanted to hire Kyle Shanahan but Eliis blocked the appointment 2. Drafted Lynch but didn't exactly give him the keys 3. That was a bad one.
  17. I am really rooting for Muti - give him a year to help recover - but if he becomes a starter on the OL he is going to be fun to watch.
  18. We are two years from being competitive - Elway used the draft to give Lock the best chance at succeeding - and we need Lock to succeed. I don;t watch college football so my knowledge of the college prospects is very limited and confined to watching a few youtube videos of players we are linked with - but I see the sense in the 2 WRs that were picked - and I suspect the two defensive players were Fangio picking to fit his scheme (which by all accounts is a difficult scheme to play in). As for Cushenberry - if he comes good - and a lot of you on here with far greater knowledge like him - then our IOL is set for the next 4+ years. We still have to deal with the OT position - but a significantly improved interior will help at the OTs. I would expect an OT project to be taken before the end of the draft - and I is possible that Bolles will be moved out by trade for someone else later - but our OL is already significantly better than last season with Glasgow and, hopefully, Cushenberry in play.
  19. If I am not mistaken - Elway has said that Glasgow will be C
  20. Well Laviska didn't drop to our pick, nevermind to R3
  21. I am a happy man - no trade up for a WR that we had a choice of a 1.15. I would have preferred Lamb but I get the Jeudy pick - probably the best option when you have a young QB who still has a lot to learn. Looking forward to Day 2.
