  1. 2018/2019 EPL Thread

It's not just Liverpool, this also screws Wolves/Sheff Utd/West Brom/Leeds etc. You've got to try finish it or do all you can to avoid it being null. I'd even go so far as to scrap relegation and make it a 22 team league for one year next season.
  2. It is Mariota but why are people in here talking about Locker like he was some Chandler Harnish or something. He was a high draft pick with multiple years of NFL hype in college.
  3. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

To be honest I'd be quite happy with making no more signings until after the draft and then try pick up some value players. Teams that 'win' the off-season don't have a great track record. That said, I'd be fairly happy taking a gamble on Clowney on a 1 or 2 year deal as the potential reward there is enormous. Draft OL or WR at 11 - either of them will help Sam.
  4. My Comeback Player of the Year Candidates

Todd Gurley is a very good suggestion. He's someone who could easily have a bounceback year and his prior success should put him over someone like Mariota.
  5. Jets to re-sign OLB Jordan Jenkins

Feel if that's the rate we could have gone for more than 1 year. Way cheaper than I expected Jenkins to be.
  6. Jets sign Breshad Perriman

Cheap and decent gamble. I like it.
  7. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

Re-signing Robby would be a good move, I don't think we need to try make any big splashes elsewhere. Bobby is right that a good veteran corner would be a nice addition now we've re-signed Poole as well.
  8. Jets sign C Connor McGovern

Yeah there's no doubt there will be a lot of competition and we need to see how we look after the draft. I expect Lewis and Winters to probably emerge as our starting guards and a rookie OT with one of Fant/Edoga playing the other tackle spot.
  9. Jets sign C Connor McGovern

I think Winters is a perfect example of what I'm trying to say. He isn't garbage, if he was next to better players he'd be fine. Lewis I'm not as sure on and Edoga isn't really ready. But lets say we draft an OT in the first. That means Edoga or Fant don't start and we remove the weakest of our OT's as well as massively improving C. That would basically leave a question for one OG and one OT. Maybe Fant or Edoga develop to where we need them to be and Lewis plays better. Even if only one of those things happens that would be a 4/5 situation.
  10. He's not hall of fame but Cam Newton has been a pretty good player from his 1 year of production at Auburn.
  11. Jets re-sign Alex Lewis $6.5 mil per year/ 3yr

And the simple fact that OL is a group position. One, two, or (God forbid) three bad offensive lineman completely nullify having elite players. Brick and Mangold were both elite players on the OL and when we had Adrien Clarke it made them look like a potential issue going forward. It's about identifying which players are causing that group problem and replacing them with ones who won't. We don't need Orlando Pace and Steve Hutchinson, we just need players who don't drag everyone else down.
  12. Jets sign C Connor McGovern

Offensive lines don't need to excite, they need to not be a liability. We'll probably draft 1 or 2 offensive linemen who will force competition for the tackle spots. I think we're in a good place with the OL for the first time since we made huge splashes with Woody and Faneca.
  13. 2019/2020 Offseason

You can argue it isn't good due to how few selections we had but 2007 was also a big hit. Revis and Harris.
  14. Former Packer/Jet Muhammed Wilkerson arrested for DWI

A real shame, he was an absolute force and one of the better Jets defensive players of recent times. Probably our most dominant defensive lineman of the past decade besides Kris Jenkins at NT.
  15. Rams new logo unveiled

Wow that's horrendous. I'm always amazed at how NFL teams can get kits and logos so abysmally wrong.
