  1. Well, if we get ahead of the Jags in the draft, I would think we could trade back with them. They have a lot of assets this year and would not want to risk losing “their guy” with whoever else we considered trading back with. I expect the first 3 picks to be QBs this year.
  2. And Lou Anoroumo or however you spell it. Would love to bring in a better DC.
  3. I’d call a team like Jacksonville about their OL. They seem to have every player available for trade.
  4. Have we had a “good” OL since Richie Braham retired? Certainly it hasn’t been this bad. But we have had significant holes ever since.
  5. Agreed. Even with his good game yesterday, the long pass from JB, the old AJ would have high pointed and brought in no problem. He just lazily tried catching it at his hip and the defender knocked it away. It’s tough to watch now knowing how good he was.
  6. I think I’d prefer Bienemy just to get an offensive minded coach for Burrow. But it takes a different kind of mind to work for MB. Maybe Zimmer is a better fit because of that
  7. I think we need wholesale coaching changes on this team. I don’t know if it’s Zac, but the shell we went into defensively when we were up 21-0 is inexcusable. We play man coverage at the 2nd highest rate in the NFL and we dropped almost exclusively to a soft zone to end the half. Just let a mediocre, decrepit quarterback pick us a part with a banged up OL. Between this game and the Eagles game, we just don’t know how to close a game out. We should be 3-3 this year at worst with even mediocre coaching.
  8. Offense seems out of sync. Not our best effort out there. Don’t like us leaving this game on Bullocks shoulders.
  9. With Josh Rosen getting cut by Miami, thoughts on signing him to be backup to Joe Burrow and letting Finley go? There was nothing Finley showed me last year that makes me think we could win a game with him at QB.
  10. I just came here to say the same thing. And the fact that he’s only 28 at the end of the contract. I think it’s a nice pretty smart contract for us. I’d imagine a good chunk of his signing bonus is absorbed in this years cap too.
  11. 4 years for $48M. Not a bad # at all.
  12. Odds the Pats end up with the #1 pick and get Trevor Lawrence? Lol. That would be the most 2020 thing ever.
  13. I think 4 hub cities makes the most sense. All the North teams (AFC and NFC) play in 1 city. You have 3 games vs everyone in your division, 2 vs each team in the opposing conference. You could even do cities with multiple fields. I think this is the only way the season happens.
  14. Or a bigger failure, Melvin Gordon.
  15. Would still rather pay guys going into their prime than a guy clearly past his and whose body is breaking down.
  16. I don’t want AJ back after this year, especially if he has a career year. He’s clearly declining, hasn’t stayed healthy in years. No interest in paying him as a top 5 WR. Would much rather lock up guys going into their prime and drafting another WR in the 1/2 round then locking up AJ and drafting another RB.
  17. Mixon is only 23. I certainly wouldn’t look to reset the position, but if I could lock him up for 3-5 years at 8-10M per I would. Especially with Burrow on his rookie deal.
  18. Yeah. I read there were 2 or 3 teams doing this. The Bengals was the only one named. Probably because everyone knows Mikey is cheap
  19. What do you guys think of the Bengals refusing to allow players to take their physicals at private facilities as most of the league has? Pretty much preventing all FA signings and draft picks. Could backfire big time if Burrow decides to sit out a year if the season is cancelled and reenter the draft. I know that possibility is very remote. Just seems like a big Scrooge McDuck move from Mikey Brown.
  20. Unfortunately I think this just makes him more valuable to Jim Turner. Lol
  21. Yeah. Posted some homophobic comments and pictures I believe. Maybe we will cut him now?
  22. Agreed. I don’t think it’s a big loss or anything. I was just answering the question as to why he didn’t sign with us.
  23. According to the reports. Thad had offers from Cincy, New England and Wash. He said he chose Washington over Cincy and NE, because they expressed interest in him first. As a thank you to them for offering him a deal first, he chose Washington.
  24. Is the first 9 picks of the 2017 NFL Draft one of the worst ever or what? 4 of the top 5 picks had their teams turn down the 5th year option. Bengals and Chargers also declined 5th year options on Mike Williams and John Ross. You have 4 studs in the top 10 and 6 complete duds (including 4 of the top 5). I know the draft will always be remembered as Mahomes draft, but man... those first 9 picks are brutal outside of CMac, Garrett and Jamal Adams.
  25. I think NE only has like $1.5M (Lowest in the league) in cap room before draft picks sign (it’s also why they HAD to trade Gronk once he announced he wanted to come back). Also why an Andy to NE trade was never really considered. I’d be shocked if he ended up in NE as they’d have to clear $15-20M to sign him and draft picks. Even on a team friendly deal. I think Jacksonville or KC as a backup makes a lot of sense.
