  2. 2020 Packers Draft Contest Quite a few posters got in this contest in the past so if anyone is interested we could run it again this year. In other draft contests some wanted trades some did not, some with unlimited trades to get extra points etc. This contest fixes all those problems. How it works: How ever many draft picks the Packers have going into the draft is the number of pick numbers that everyone has. So say the Packers has 10 picks heading into the draft, everyone will have that many. This draft contest uses pick numbers not the draft round numbers. In other words, pick number 1 is not necessarily in round # 1 of the draft. For each pick (10 as of right now, but could change before the actual draft) you get to pick 5 players that you think could be the Packers first draft pick. Point scoring is 8 points for your first choice selection if correct, 7 for second, 6 for third, 5 for forth and 4 for fifth. So you have 10 X 5 selections = 50 players you select for the draft. If a player you pick for pick # 1 is drafted as the Packers second pick (or later, but must be within 3 pick #s), you get the points for that pick minus 2. For example: my choices for the Packers first draft pick were; Pick # 1 (A) Tee Higgins, WR (B) Cesar Ruiz, OC (C) Justin Jefferson, WR (D) Austin Jackson, OT (E) Jordan Love, QB You do this for each pick the Packers have leading up to the draft (like I mentioned right now the Packers have 10 draft picks). In this case if Jefferson was the Packers first pick in the draft, I would get 6 points (third choice and right pick number). BUT, say for example the Packers picked Jefferson with their second pick instead of their first, I would receive 4 points (6 points minus 2 for the wrong pick #). Say the Packers made 3 trades during the draft and ended up with 13 picks. This draft has a built in trade resolution as it has of now 50 draft selections (10 X 5 = 50). So points can be made from your 50 picks if the Packer picks 10, 11 or 12 players. You will get the pick number wrong of course but you can still get points from picking that player in earlier picks. For example again. Your forth choice for pick number 7, which would be 7(D), was Jared Rice, TE. Packers picked him with their 11th pick after making a trade to get extra draft picks, you would receive 5 points minus 2 points for the wrong pick number which = 3 points. Each pick should include his name and position. This way all the people in the draft contest are on equal footing, no advantages to anyone with trades. Also you may pick the same player within two different pick numbers. For example you can use Jordan Love for 1(D) and 2(A) and get points for both of those picks but on the down side you are limiting yourself with less players to gain points if that player is not drafted by the Packers, so a little strategy there. But no player can be included in more than 2 pick numbers. Also to receive points for a player, that player can not be a pick # that is 3 or more previous to your pick # with that player. For example any of your five choices for pick #4 will not count if it was the Packers #1 pick. Any Pick # 5 player can not be a pick # 1 or a pick # 2 player, etc. This eliminates people from loading up on possible # 1 picks in the later rounds. All Picks higher then #9 if trades are made will count in this case as pick # 9. This is a fun way of doing it because everyone gets to see everyone's top five choices for each draft pick the Packers has. Everyone summits their 5 player choices for each of the 9 picks before the draft begins. If any of the drafts are edited after the draft begins (edit times are at the bottom of each post) that entry will receive 0 points. Each person can add up their own points after the draft and summit it. The top points can be checked by all in the thread if the points are valid and that person is declared the Packer Draft Champion. Its a fun draft and not much to it. Put in your top 5 selections for each of the Packers 10 draft picks and add your points. If interested reserve a post. Here are the Packer 10 picks. 1st round, No. 30 2nd round, No.62 3rd round, No. 94 4th round, No. 136 5th round, No. 175 6th round, No. 192 6th round, No. 208 6th round, No. 209 7th round, No. 236 7th round, No. 242
  3. Haha21 Mock Draft 2020

Love the Shenault, Dye, Peart and Wonnum picks. Like everyone else, would have some different picks but I like the draft.
  4. fun while it lasted, see you guys at the draft.
  5. Same here, I hate him. He wouldn't be able to talk if someone cut his thumbs off. Always got his 2 thumbs pointing up when he talks.
  6. On to San Fran baby, going to be a tough game, need to bring their A game thats for sure.
  7. Week 16 GDT: Packers @ Minnesota Vikings (MNF)

What a huge huge win and early Christmas present, woot! Merry Christmas Packer fans and hope we have a great New Year.
  8. A lot of games we don’t get the calls, tonight we did and got the W, on to the next game.
  9. Packers & Eagles Postgame

Of course Rogers felt good about all 4 calls, he is the QB. Maybe ask Aaron Jones the same question. Just brutal play calling, don’t care what anyone says.
  10. 2019 WEEK 4 PACKERS vs eagles GAME DAY THREAD

Three things that cost us tonight. 1. The defence was hot trash the whole night. 2. Not running the ball just outside the EZ twice, was nothing short of brutal play calling. 3. That non call on the pass interference review was the biggest joke that I had ever seen. Just get rid of the review if they are going to do that bs.
  11. 2019 WEEK 4 PACKERS vs eagles GAME DAY THREAD

I was yelling to run on both possessions, pure stupidity.
  12. 2019 WEEK 4 PACKERS vs eagles GAME DAY THREAD

Guess they didn’t learn from the possession before about not running the ball. Brutal play calling.
  13. 2019 WEEK 3 PACKERS vs broncos GAME DAY THREAD

Absolutely loved the Scantling TD dance. That was cool lol!
  14. 2020 NFL Draft Discussion

Sure it could of gone just as bad if we drafted those other guys, but I think you are missing my point. My point is do not be short sighted in only a few positions with your first pick. Thats where you get in trouble. If you think player a is better then player b but you take player b because he plays defence and player a plays offence is a recipe for disaster. Unless of course player b is a position in need and is rated very close to player a, then that would make sense. I just stated that I like Albert O and think he would be exactly what we need. Thats my opinion who I would like to see on our team. But if the Packers like another player better, then take him. Its not rocket science here.
  15. 2020 NFL Draft Discussion

I would not be so short sighted on positions. We took lots of defensive players with our first pick over the years, Demarious Randall, HaHa Clinton Dix, Datone Jones, Nick Perry, Justin Harrell and took TE Jermichael Finley in the 3rd round. And I would take him over any of those defensive players. Im sure the Packers will take whoever they feel is the best player available, whether its OT, DT, DB or TE. All I was saying is that Albert O is exactly what this team needs IMO. Draft time is usually BPA. Who knows Albert O might turn into a dud, or he might turn into the next Gronk, but just because he is a TE does not mean he is not first round worthy or the Packers should just draft certain positions with their first pick. That is nonsense.
