  1. It’s at least encouraging that he plays like his hair is on fire and doesn’t take plays off. His motor runs hot all the time. He has some maturing to do, but this isn’t a Quinton Coples’ situation.
  2. 2019 prospects and outlook

That’s a ridiculously high standard, are you kidding me. If he turns into Gerald McCoy/Geno Atkins then he’s worth the pick. So by that logic, Josh Allen would have to be better then Von Miller to be worth that pick huh?
  3. #JetsNewUnis

This has me in tears, real or not.
  4. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded to the Jets for Darron Lee.
  5. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

The year he spent on the Jets he was screwed out of multiple TDs. I’m not saying he’s great, but I think he makes for a good #2 TE who would compliment Herndon’s skill set well.
  6. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

I think he’s proven that he is a mismatch in th red zone.
  7. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

    Hope this comes to fruition.
  8. Leo Williams

Gregg Williams uses twists/stunts as much as any defensive coordinator in the league. Leo has always excelled at them. Should really open things up for Leo production wise.
  9. 2019 prospects and outlook

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/draft-josh-allens-versatility-makes-him-a-top-5-pick ”Perhaps most impressive is his overall efficiency when rushing the passer as Kentucky only sent him after the quarterback 520 times over the last two years (about 1.25 seasons for most rushers) and Allen notched 24 sacks, 24 QB hits and 50 hurries during that time... Allen has the burst and bend to challenge NFL offensive tackles right off the snap, and it resulted in his creating pressure to the outside shoulder of offensive tackles once every seven snaps last season... He’s dropped into coverage 300 times over the last two seasons, far more than any other top edge defender in this draft class. While most edges drop into “curl/flat” responsibilities where most plays are made working downhill in condensed space, Allen has shown the ability to run down the field with tight ends and running backs while showing impressive catch-point ball skills.”
  10. Leo Williams

Pretty sick of this narrative. He’s one of the best players from his draft class. Where he was taken should have no effect on the Jets decision to extend him or not. The fans that think the Jets should trade him or not extend him are the ones who bought into any hype that he was a generational prospect. Those kind of players don’t fall to the 6th pick. He was always a raw prospect with tremendous tools.
  11. Leo Williams

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-a-look-ahead-to-the-top-potential-free-agents-in-2020 “Leonard Williams will only be 26 next summer after he completes the final stretch of the fifth-year option of his rookie contract in New York. The interior defender’s production has quietly been lost amid the Jets’ roster rebuild, but Williams has provided overall grades of 75.0 or greater in each of his four seasons in the NFL. The USC-product has also generated an average of 52 total pressures and 34 defensive stops over that span.“ Leo finishes inside the top 10 amongst interior defensive lineman in both pressures and stops on a yearly basis. I know this is a crazy concept, but maybe just maybe he’s actually a top 10 DT?
  12. My question is would it be a live play or pass/fail like a two point conversion? If you score a TD on the play does it count or do you get the ball with a net set of downs at the 30? If it’s the former, that’s a giant advantage to offenses.
  13. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Bummer. He was the only remained CB on the market I wanted the Jets to sign. I figured it would happen too because he has a ton of connections to the current coaching staff. Not sure why Macc is sitting on his hands right now. He should be looking to find value at positions of need with cheap 1 year deals.
  14. The Jets have done a good job of adding skill players that compliment each other well. - In 2018, Quincy Enunwa averaged 7.7 yards after catch per reception (2nd among all WRs) - In 2018, Jamison Crowder averaged 7.6 yards after catch per reception (3rd amongst all WRs) - Since 2017, Robby Anderson has 8 TD catches over 30 yards (2nd amongst all WRs behind only Tyreek Hill) - In 2018, Chris Herndon led all pass-catchers with a 152.7 passer rating when targeted in the red zone - Since 2014, Le’Veon Bell has scored 18 TDs on 29 carries inside the 5, good for a 62% conversion rate (1st amongst 25 RBs with at least 25 carries inside the 5 since 2014) - Le’Veon Bell has 39 first downs on 85 career 3rd or 4th down targets, good for a 46% conversion rate (2nd amongst backs with at least 40 third/fourth down targets over that span)
  15. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Agreed. If the Jets don’t land one of Ansah/Perry it will be an utter failure. Enough to taint the entire offseason despite the impressive start.
  16. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

He’s actually 29. And he’s had 12+ sacks in two of the past four seasons. His biggest issue is staying healthy. Which is why he will be forced to sign a one year deal.
  17. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Shane Ray is terrible. Ansah is the only pass rusher left on the market that’s worth a damn.
  18. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Missed this. Hearing that just makes me more mad. I truly just don’t understand Macc’s thought process behind this.
  19. 2019 Contract Discussion

With all of the Jets new FA signings & re-signings, I figured we could use a thread dedicated to discussing the specifics of their new contracts. Over The Cap
  20. 2019 Contract Discussion

You guys find anything to argue about. Thanks for derailing my contract thread. The MOD, of all people.
  21. 32 - Arizona (14.1 PPG) 31 - Jacksonville (15.3 PPG) 30 - Buffalo (16.8 PPG) 29 - Washington (17.6 PPG) 28 - Oakland (18.1 PPG) 27 - Tennessee (19.4 PPG) 26 - Miami (19.9 PPG) 25 - Detroit (20.2 PPG) 24 - Denver (20.6 PPG) 23 - NY Jets (20.8 PPG) Which offense has the best chance to finish top 10 and why?
  22. 2019 Contract Discussion

Very interesting structure. Not exactly sure why they made his first year cap hit so small.
  23. 2019 Contract Discussion

Let me rephrase... I don’t know how Macc fan justify taking Q if they have plans to re-sign Leo. Taking Q would signal to me that they don’t plan on re-signing him. Which would be a huge mistake in my opinion. I find it interesting that Macc isn’t at Alabama’s pro day. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure Macc attended the pro day for everyone of his eventual first round picks.
