  1. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

You sure about this? Could have sworn it was noon.
  2. Kelechi Osemele to the NY Jets

Two things... 1) The Jets can use this season as a try out for Osemele. Depending on how he plays, they would have some leverage in trying to sign him to an extension after the 2019 season (due to $0 remaining guarantees). 2) This move says to me that the Jets are thinking big. They didn’t want to put all there eggs into one basket with Saffold, and most importantly, they obviously were not okay with the alternatives after him. They could have easily felt like they would have been able to fill LG with a veteran that was cut (Sitton/Lang/Leary). Instead they decided to prioritize the offensive line in a big way. I now feel confident that they will go after Paradis/Morse with full force. The single most important thing for the Jets to accomplish this off-season is to fix their offensive line. Off to a nice start Mikey Macc.
  3. Sam Darnold and Jamal Adams. That’s it.
  4. 2019 Draft - Edge Rushers

Justin Hollins. He’s a piece of moldable clay. Definitely has the athletic profile to make in impact as a pass rusher in the NFL.
  5. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

All he said was that he thinks that the Rams will retain Fowler. Nothing is expected.
  6. NFL Draft Combine

Jonah Williams once said that trying to block Quinnen Williams was like trying to block a 300 pound bar of soap. Pretty accurate.
  7. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

    Where’d you see that?
  8. This mock is aimed more towards what I would do if I were GM, while trying to remain as realistic as possible. I used past contract history to come up with the free agent contracts and general consensus for draft prospect availability. Will add write-ups later today. Enjoy. 9. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

The Lions cut guard T.J. Lang. Another effective yet older stop gap option at guard. Hopefully Ronald Leary is next. Between Josh Sitton, TJ Lang, and Ronald Leary, the Jets should be able to sign a nice stop gap option for cheap.
  10. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

    This. Exactly how I feel.
  11. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

What exactly do you love about it? Not being a smart ***, I’m genuinely curious.
  12. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

I’m sure it’s going to be at a ridiculous APY. I have the Jets giving him a 3 year $40M contract in my mock. I’d be willing to bet it’s somewhere around that number. Which is a ridiculous number for someone with his level of production. High probability that he doesn’t play up to his contract and gets cut before that 3rd year. How I’ll feel about this move will come down to what else they do at edge. There’s absolutely no reason for the Jets not to still be in on another pass rusher like Preston Smith. It would be a huge mistake if Fowler is the only starting quality edge that they end up signing.
  13. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

While I can live with the Jets signing Fowler, I just don’t understand how he could be the target over Preston Smith. I’m going to be very disappointed if we sign Fowler over Smith and the money is similar. For starters, Smith has started all 16 games each of the past 3 seasons, and has never missed a game in his career. He has experience standing up in the 3-4 but he can also play DE in a base 4-3. Coming off a season where he was PFFs 19th best EDGE defender with a 76.9 grade, he has been so much more protective then Fowler it’s not even funny. The one thing Fowler has over Smith is that he’s 2 years younger, but Smith will still only be 26 years old to start the season. Check out this highlight video from just the 2018-19 season. Good luck finding many highlights of Fowler...
  14. NFL Draft Combine

Mecole Hardman ran an official 4.33 fourty. Would love the Jets to take him with their 3rd round pick.
  15. Leo Williams

But I thought the argument is that Leo isn’t worth paying because he’s not a good enough pass rusher?
  16. Between the Giants, Jags, Broncos, Dolphins, Redskins, there is no shortage of teams that need a QB. Which QB needy team is most likely to trade up and why?
  17. Leo Williams

    Grady Jarrett (Age 25.10) 2016 - 34 Pressures; 3 sacks; 4 TFL; 9 QB Hits 2017 - 39 Pressures; 4 sacks; 15 TFL; 13 QB Hits 2018 - 53 Pressures; 6 sacks; 8 TFL; 16 QB Hits 3 year totals: 126 Pressures; 13 sacks; 27 TFL; 38 QB Hits Leonard Williams (Age: 24.8) 2016 - 48 Pressures; 7 sacks; 11 TFL; 19 QB Hits 2017 - 50 Pressures; 2 sacks; 3 TFL; 25 QB Hits 2018 - 53 Pressures; 5 sacks; 11 TFL; 20 QB Hits 3 year totals: 151 Pressures; 14 sacks; 25 TFL; 64 QB Hits Yet a lot of the fan base wants to trade away Leo for a 2nd round pick while also wanting to give Jarrett a giant contract in free agency. I don’t get it.
  18. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

“This season”. He also said the Jets plan on being multiple. I would suspect the plan is to slowly transition to a true 4-3 over the next season or two.
  19. 2019 prospects and outlook

Brilliant video by Brett Kollman on what makes Quinnen Williams such a rare prospect. I highly suggest everyone checks this out.
  20. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-buyingselling-the-top-free-agent-pass-rushers-in-2018 Great buy/sell article on this years FA edge rushing class.
  21. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

    A) Smith is a more talented edge rusher then Jenkins B) Smith is also much bigger then Jenkins and would be able to play all 3 downs in a 43 defense. Jenkins is too small to play DE in a base defense. I do get your point though, I just think Smith is a much better fit and won’t cost a fortune.
  22. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Preston Smith makes a ton of sense for the Jets. The case can be made that signing Smith to a $10-11M/year contract would be a better move then signing Flowers to a $16-17M/year contract. I’d have no issue going into the draft having already signed Smith and Quinn/Graham, and then drafting Q. As far as Z’darius Smith goes, I think he falls in the same boat as Flowers/Anderson in that his best pass rushing reps are in the inside.
  23. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Where did you see this? By all accounts, Flowers isn’t going to be tagged. Link?
