  1. FFMD II New York Jets Front Office

Sign me up. I use to love FFMD.
  2. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

Jimmy Smith back to the Ravens and Q. Dunbar traded to the Seahawks for a 5th (!). Would love to see Joe double dip at corner and sign someone like Breeland.
  3. Jets to re-sign OLB Jordan Jenkins

Great value. Interesting that he’s only giving out one year deals to his re-signings though.
  4. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

I think if you can get him at a reasonable price, Joe D should be exploring the option of signing Markus Golden. He had 12.5 sacks in 2016 but then tore his ACL in 2017 and struggled in 2018. He looked more like his 2016 self this past season with 10 sacks and finished 19th in pass rush productivity for all edge rushers. It certainly seems like the market for Golden and Jenkins isn’t what a lot of people expected.
  5. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

Why though? Especially since it doesn’t seem like Joe D plans on spending this offseason. Not sure of the rational behind still having an $8M dead cap hit next season when the Jets will have to pay Jamal. Should have just eaten all of the dead money this year since there should be plenty of cap space left over. Between that and Alex Lewis’ contract structure, I’m not sure why Joe D is pushing money back into next off-season.
  6. 2020 NFL Free Agency: Rumors and Reports

According to OTC, Alex Lewis will have a $7.7M cap hit in 2021 (year 2 of the deal) with a $3M dead cap hit if he’s released. I was fine with re-signing him but I don’t love the structure of the deal. Why back load the deal with a decent amount of guaranteed money in year 2 when the Jets don’t plan to spend up to the cap this offseason.
  7. Felt like thus deserved its own thread. Robby has made huge strides over the past month or so towards being a more complete receiver. His contest catch ability has been particularly impressive. It feels like it’s a forgone conclusion that RA is gone after the season, but I think his recent play has given JD something to think about. I personally hope the Jets do re-sign him. With DeVante Parker just signing a 4 year $40M extension, I would imagine Robby would cost somewhere around 4 years $50M.
  8. I still can’t get over the fact that Bowles didn’t play Jones more once his starting CBs got injured.
  9. It’s at least encouraging that he plays like his hair is on fire and doesn’t take plays off. His motor runs hot all the time. He has some maturing to do, but this isn’t a Quinton Coples’ situation.
  10. 2019 prospects and outlook

That’s a ridiculously high standard, are you kidding me. If he turns into Gerald McCoy/Geno Atkins then he’s worth the pick. So by that logic, Josh Allen would have to be better then Von Miller to be worth that pick huh?
  11. #JetsNewUnis

This has me in tears, real or not.
  12. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded to the Jets for Darron Lee.
  13. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

The year he spent on the Jets he was screwed out of multiple TDs. I’m not saying he’s great, but I think he makes for a good #2 TE who would compliment Herndon’s skill set well.
  14. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

I think he’s proven that he is a mismatch in th red zone.
  15. 2019 Offseason Preview/FA Rumors

    Hope this comes to fruition.
  16. Leo Williams

Gregg Williams uses twists/stunts as much as any defensive coordinator in the league. Leo has always excelled at them. Should really open things up for Leo production wise.
  17. 2019 prospects and outlook

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/draft-josh-allens-versatility-makes-him-a-top-5-pick ”Perhaps most impressive is his overall efficiency when rushing the passer as Kentucky only sent him after the quarterback 520 times over the last two years (about 1.25 seasons for most rushers) and Allen notched 24 sacks, 24 QB hits and 50 hurries during that time... Allen has the burst and bend to challenge NFL offensive tackles right off the snap, and it resulted in his creating pressure to the outside shoulder of offensive tackles once every seven snaps last season... He’s dropped into coverage 300 times over the last two seasons, far more than any other top edge defender in this draft class. While most edges drop into “curl/flat” responsibilities where most plays are made working downhill in condensed space, Allen has shown the ability to run down the field with tight ends and running backs while showing impressive catch-point ball skills.”
  18. Leo Williams

Pretty sick of this narrative. He’s one of the best players from his draft class. Where he was taken should have no effect on the Jets decision to extend him or not. The fans that think the Jets should trade him or not extend him are the ones who bought into any hype that he was a generational prospect. Those kind of players don’t fall to the 6th pick. He was always a raw prospect with tremendous tools.
  19. Leo Williams

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-a-look-ahead-to-the-top-potential-free-agents-in-2020 “Leonard Williams will only be 26 next summer after he completes the final stretch of the fifth-year option of his rookie contract in New York. The interior defender’s production has quietly been lost amid the Jets’ roster rebuild, but Williams has provided overall grades of 75.0 or greater in each of his four seasons in the NFL. The USC-product has also generated an average of 52 total pressures and 34 defensive stops over that span.“ Leo finishes inside the top 10 amongst interior defensive lineman in both pressures and stops on a yearly basis. I know this is a crazy concept, but maybe just maybe he’s actually a top 10 DT?
