5 Prospect
  1. Still CB's and Guice on the board. I feel like we are going to trade up for one of them.
  2. Courtland Sutton. Wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys traded with us for him. I heard they wanted him.
  3. @AAA. If that's true, I'd move up for Hernandez or Guice. I agree that it will be offense today.
  4. Here are my top choices at 40. Would be happy with any of these. RB Derrius Guice - I know the class is pretty deep, BUT Guice is a 3 down back who racked up yardage in the tough SEC. I really think he would be a great jolt for our offense. RB Ronald Jones - May need to add a little weight but he can be a 3 down guy. Comp is Jamaal Charles, but another guy capable of boosting our run game. CB Josh Jackson - His man coverage skills are my concern, but he can come in and handle slot duty until he develops. He's a bigger CB, with I think we will target. CB Carlton Davis - He plays with an edge. He is also a bigger guy with long arms. CB Isaiah Oliver - Local guy who also can help in the return game. Wouldn't be surprised if we got him. G Will Hernandez - I think he will be gone, but you can't really go wrong with him. You never have enough Lineman and he and Leary should clear some holes for our running backs. C/G James Daniels - Another guy who could come in and start right away IMO. A safe and solid pick, but I think he will be gone by 40. I think with this pick we will be replacing CJ or Talib. Guice/Jones or Jackson/Oliver/Davis. That's my feeling.
  5. Official Broncos Forum Draft Thread

If we trade.....who are the most likely partners? Buffalo and Arizona I would think. Buffalo has much more to offer by way of picks this year.
  6. Official Broncos Forum Draft Thread

Ward could be a fixture at Cornerback for years to come. Outside of QB, Pass Rushers and Corners are premium positions IMO. This kid seems like a stud. Nelson is also safe. Chubb is also a stud at premium position, as I mentioned. But... It would be hard to not Darnold if he is there. I think if Cleveland doesn't trade out at 4, we could get Sam. The word is the Jets prefer Rosen over Darnold. We'll get our answer in about an hour....
  7. Epic's 2018 Mock Draft

I'm with everyone else. We trade down with Buffalo. Trade: 1.5 Get: 1.12, 1.22, 3.76 1st Round (12) NT Vita Vea Washington Gives us a solid starter. Is the best player at his position in the draft. Will anchor the middle of the Defense for years to come. Immediately helps our run defense. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** 1st Round (22) WR DJ Moore Maryland Let's face it. DT and Sanders could easily be gone by 2019. Moore has the talent to be a WR1 and supplant DT by next season. Helps immediately in the return game as well. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ 2nd Round (40) CB Carlton Davis Auburn Talib's replacement. Big, physical corner. Elway loves to draft CB's and we get a slot cover man who can come in and see the field immediately. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* 3rd Round (65) DE Rasheem Green USC Wolfe is often injured and Gostis doesn't provide much on the other side. Green helps a unit in dire need of quality depth. Green can add some much needed pass rush on the edge. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* 3rd Round (71) RB Rashaad Penny San Diego State Finished 5th in the Heisman voting. Penny is a well built, 3 down back who should overtake Booker and his poor yards per carry avg. Another weapon for our identity less offense. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** 3rd Round (99) OT Tyrell Crosby Oregon A good run blocking tackle who also did not allow a sack while at Oregon last year. Gives the OL much needed depth. Hopefully, he beats out Watson and takes his spot on the roster. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* 4th Round (106) ILB Josey Jewell Iowa Hopefully, he is available here. A productive tackling machine. Although he's not considered a good athlete, he is a leader and could rotate in behind Davis. Special team stud from day 1. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** 4th Round (113) OG Austin Corbett Nevada Will come in and battle McGovern for a starting spot. Has versatility. Plays mean. May even backup at Center. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** 5th Round (149) TE Jaylen Samuels NC State This position is glaring need. Samuels is a weapon we can use all over the field. Since he doesn't have a true position, he is likely to slip some. Another shot in the arm for our offense. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** 5th Round (160) LB Davin Bellamy Georgia Pretty productive player. Can provide some rush from the outside. A solid tackler. Depth and special teams from day 1. OFFENSE QB Case Keenum Paxton Lynch Chad Kelly RB Devontae Booker Rashaad Penny (3a) DeAngelo Henderson FB Andy Janovich Jaylen Samuels (5a) WR Demaryius Thomas Isaiah McKenzie WR Emmanuel Sanders Carlos Henderson WR DJ Moore (1b) Jordan Taylor TE Jake Butt Jaylen Samuels (5a) Austin Traylor LT Garrett Bolles Elijah Wilkinson LG Ronald Leary Connor McGovern C Matt Paradis J.J. Dielman RG Connor McGovern Austin Corbett (4b) RT Jared Veldheer Tyrell Crosby (3b) DEFENSE LDE Derek Wolfe DeMarcus Walker NT Vita Vea (1a) Demonta Peko RDE Adam Gostis Clinton McDonald OLB Von Miller Davin Bellamy (5b) ILB Todd Davis Josey Jewell (4a) ILB Brandon Marshall Joseph Jones OLB Shane Ray Shaq Barrett RCB: Bradley Roby Brandon Langley SS: Justin Simmons Jamal Carter FS: Su'a Cravens Will Parks LCB Chris Harris Tremaine Brock NB: Carlton Davis (2) Tremaine Brock K: Brandon McManus P: Marguette King
  8. Just add a Tackle in there as we need depth and OL takes a beating year in and year out. Otherwise, very solid.
  9. Vita is solid. An anchor. 2018 Ngata. Jones is a little slight for me but he has some Kamara qualities that I do like. Prefer Davis in Chark's spot, but otherwise very good.
  10. 2018 Mock Draft - Trade back w/ Buffalo

Tremaine at 12 would be a major get. Not sure we would wait 5 picks before taking an OL but otherwise solid.
  11. BroncosFan2010 Final Mock Draft

Dude, you got a lot of my guys in there. I would be more than happy with this draft. I like the guys and I like where you have them going. Pretty realistic IMO.
  12. Trade Down Mock

Very nice work. I like Carlton Davis a lot. Smith is a solid pick, but I'm not sure he would get past the Raiders at 10. You nailed the positions as well. We might add a safety instead of an OLB. Otherwise, I would be happy with this draft.
  13. Random Thoughts

So, as AAA alluded to, what is Belechick up to? Rumors are that they could be trying to move up for a qb. It is kind of strange that the Pats, who constantly trade out of Round 1, have two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders. They have lost - Cooks - WR, Solder - LT, Butler - CB, Amendola - WR, and Fleming - OL. Their QB, a HOF, will be 41 when the season starts in 2018. Do they move up to get a QB this year? Are they a possible trade partner with us now? I checked the value chart and #23 (760), #31 (600) and #42 (480) for our #5 (1700) is pretty close. If we did a deal, I would hold out for their other 2nd or at least a 3rd. Would you do it? If Barkley is on the board, I would say NO. But that is the only thing that would stop me from doing it. I would not mind filling some holes with those picks. WR, ILB, CB, TE, OT. We could address all those positions by the end of Round 2. What do you guys think?
  14. Elliot878 Mock Draft

Big fan of Green and I do think we have to address the edge. We have lots of injury issues with Wolfe and Gostis. I am with TB6 in that if we make 7-8 picks, one of them will be RB. I like Andrews at TE but he will likely be gone by 114. A little uneasy about Brown as well. I like Vander Esch but at #22? If we could get Nelson at #8 that would be huge. Besides RB and WR, you definitely got the need areas for us. Nice work.
  15. Jsthomp Mock Draft - You know you want it!

I think we will be in on a CB like Alexander and an ILB like Jewell. I was going to have Jewell in my mock (coming soon). I think Davenport is more of a project, so for me, I would go with someone who is a no-doubt starter at #12. Maybe a running back like Guice or Vita Vea if he is there. Either way, I think Davenport is more of a specialist/project. I would also strongly consider Ridley there. Although we never draft Alabama guys, he could be the heir apparent to DT and would see the field a lot as a rookie. If we did do a trade down with Buffalo, I like getting the top player at a position at #12 (Vea, Ward will be gone, Roquan, Ridley) would fit that bill.
