  1. Valhalla Villager: News, Rumors and Gossip

All indications after this tweet suggest that Williams is lying through his teeth.

  3. Knockin' on Valhalla's Door

For all of the use of "big" words, suffice it to say he ain't wrong...at least IMO. Their use of the term "compromise" was pure nonsense. I understand it's a difficult issue, but they took the cowardly way out.

  5. That's fair, @Cearbhall, but I just feel that the negatives of Richie Incognito...including his age, far outweigh any difference he could make in this offensive line...and I mean, it ain't even close. What he'd add to this offensive line isn't even that much, from a performance perspective, as far as I'm concerned. He's not the second coming of Randall McDaniel...or even Zack Martin for that matter. IMO, at this stage of his career, I think Berger would be a better guard than Incognito is. Incognito has the name, but he's not the player. He's barely a step above Brandon Fusco.
  6. Vikings select...Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn

I agree wholeheartedly. As detail-oriented as Spiels is, I imagine he did throw around some scenarios on what rules changes might occur, so he could anticipate the priority on the kicking position...and it may have been put higher than some would have expected...which certainly could have contributed to the trade-up. While not fully related to the topic at hand, I think this will also put a premium on speed/acceleration for the special teams players...with no longer being able to get a running start, there's going to be an uptick on guys who have the ability to get up to speed quickly so they don't give nearly as much cushion on KOs.
  7. Minnesota 511: Rhodes closed

You're also not in the right thread.
  8. You have way too much interest invested in a guy who seems to be about 15 seconds away from being Dimitrius Underwood or Barret Robbins. The Vikings' offensive line isn't top 10 in the league, but he ain't worth the trouble.
  9. Valhalla Villager: News, Rumors and Gossip

He certainly is one of them in my time. I can't say easily, but he's certainly the most recent example of it, which is why he's easier to remember.
  10. On the Ascension (OTAs)

As far as Diggs, he has to be there regardless, since he's learning a new offense. And Hunter still has work to do to ensure his extension. Barr is starting for the 5th year in the same defense he has played in since he was drafted.
  11. NFL Snooze News: Volume Four, Por Favor

And it also means that Adrian Peterson better move on to the next phase of his life, because this rule would not suit him all that well.
  12. Purple Haze - State of the Purple Pass Rush

I'm sure he'll make it by alright. At the veteran minimum salary, it's almost guaranteed that he'll make the roster. It sucks for him, but as always, he's been very aware of his role on the team and how it works. He's probably made somewhere around $40M in his career as starter for half of his career and a rotational guy the other half.

  14. On the Ascension (OTAs)

Organized Team Activities began today! Here are the highlights... http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/videos/Highlights_From_OTA_No_1/234a9a9f-9951-46a2-b067-9f5a78ca149d I'm not sure, but it appears that O'Neill (with the pad) was put on his heels pretty badly by Remmers in one clip. Apparently, his leverage was a little off.
