  1. Las Vegas Stadium News

Let's keep an ongoing thread (2 year thread?!) about the progress of the new stadium. 8/17-FAA has announced it won't impact air traffic, but still has more studies to do before certain work can begin, looks like the FAA is working towards helping push up the timetable so it won't push the timetable back: https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/stadium/faa-las-vegas-raiders-stadium-wont-impact-mccarran-traffic/ Many documents still being agreed upon: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2017/08/17/raiders-working-on-long-to-do-list-for-las-vegas-stadium/104704322/ PSL's look to be relatively affordable: Interesting stat: https://www.silverandblackpride.com/2017/8/21/16171868/las-vegas-raiders-deposits-suggest-strong-support-mostly-from-outside-nevada

  3. You decide: Do we move on from Carr this offseason?

Wow Carr did all that by himself? Whilst being the best 3rd down QB in the league, 1 of only 4 QBs with over 100 qb rating, hitting 4000+ yards with a small amount of int's..... You know that any other QB is going to do a lot, a lot, less than Carr with his arm and how exactly does that translate to more wins? Sorry but no other QB is going to out up that stats Carr can. And we can argue till we're blue in the face about stats and wins. But the fact is you can't get more wins with worse stats unless you're on a phenomenal team. In the long run I agree. But for next year? No way.
  4. You decide: Do we move on from Carr this offseason?

I support Carr. Come at me bro. He's a good QB and there isn't an upgrade this season from him. We replace carr this off-season, we get worse as a team next year. I'm down for drafting someone and letting him sit a year, two or three years. But if we want to improve in the win column, there isn't any other option to go to the next 5 months at the QB position.
  5. Just sayin, all 4 of those outcomes are not only possible, but favored.
  6. Raiders - Chargers GDT (Just Lose Baby)

Probably. But I'd like to go the Baltimore route. Draft a QB with one of our firsts and let Carr be who he is (he isn't losing us games) and let this team improve another year or two around him. We should be in the playoffs next year and I'd like to see Carr in the playoffs while having a guy who can take the reigns in a year, or 3.
  7. The Official Derek Carr Thread

In Week 11, Derek Carr led the NFL with 10.1 yards per pass attempt. Since Week 6, no one in the NFL has averaged more yards per attempt than Derek Carr (9.2). #RaiderNation My phone wont quote the tweet right. Vic Tafur retweeted it. Remember when Carr was last in the league in YPA and we all (some of us) thought he wouldn't get better/was actually quite bad/was the end of the world? It's amazing how much coaching matters. Or maybe he's just getting better. Or maybe both.
  8. Around The League V.2

Last couple weeks I've been thinking the same thing. They don't look like the powerhouse they were. Good yes, but with holes.
  9. Pick is in, #106 - DE Maxx Crosby

People forget other statlines. Mack barely had any sacks in year one, but you could tell by watching how disruptive he was, and by looking at how many pressures and hits he racked up. Ferrell is making plays against the run as well, week in and week out. He's batting down passes every week, the guys making plays every game.
  10. Around The League V.2

Mack didn't need anyone when he was here. Or rather, didn't have anyone. Guy. Was a monster then.
  11. Player Appreciation Thread

Carr is very quietly having a non-flashy very successful year
  12. Raiders sign Dion Jordan

I haven't seen what the contract is. For some reason, I think this is a sneaky good signing. He's coming back with something to prove and was doing quite well before he went out last stint.
  13. Week 8 GDT - Raiders at Texans

Has anyone else noticed that Mayowa has as many sacks as Mack? Don't get me wrong, Mack is having a very good season, but I thought he'd have better numbers in the sack category on a D-line like that. Crazy.
  14. Around The League V.2

Considering the amount of injuries we seem to have annually on the o-line, I absolutely bring him in. If the price is right, to have a competent starter, add that depth to ensure we're going to have a stellar o-line all year long....worth it. Plus he's familiar with a lot of our players
  15. Pick is in, #4 Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson

I know his isn't a Crosby thread but since he was mentioned..... I can't imagine what he's going to be like with an extra 20+ lbs of muscle/bulk on his frame in a year or two.
  16. Around The League V.2

Anyone realize we play 2 teams with a winning record here on out? Our schedule is ripe.
  17. Random Raider Stuff

I think they'll try. If you look at our schedule, the next game against the Texans is tough, but after that we play 1 team with a winning record (currently), and I can see gruden licking his chops with the cush schedule and the mahomes Injury.
  18. Texans acquire Gareon Conley for 3rd Rounder

Peterson doesn't make as much sense. between Johnson, Nixon or Mullen, one of them can easily replace conleys production (this year), Conley wasn't a stud for us this far. I can see us going to get a wr. No one's talking about it but it is a huge hole, and gruden and mayock were very vocal about getting Carr the proper tools needed to succeed, and then everything we had at wr fell through. Yannick or calais campell or kerrigan make sense. I'd bet we try to get one of them. Melvin igram kinda does, but trading within the division is hard. Vic is the cheapest of them all, so that makes sense too.
  19. Around The League V.2

We don't have a ton of picks left for next year's draft, wonder what we'd trade. I guess as we're one of the youngest teams we don't need 7-9 draft picks this year, still. I love the draft.
  20. Anyone know when NFLN is going to re-air this game?
  21. Around The League V.2

Anyone see the Bakers' Dozen today? I've been a browns hater but today they looked very very good.
  22. Good Bad Ugly vs the Colts

Defense looking better. Needs to be more consistent. Crosby is coming I to his own. Carr doesnt look like the problem, ever. He's not going to be an Aaron Rodgers, but if we give him talent an we keep the coaching, he won't prevent us from going places. Josh Jacobs needs to get the ball more.
  23. Week 4: Bounce back?.. Raiders @ Colts

    Well that stinks.
  24. Week 4: Bounce back?.. Raiders @ Colts

Lest we forget, best game by a banged up defense so far.
  25. Week 4: Bounce back?.. Raiders @ Colts

I'll take 2-2. We knew we weren't going to beat the cheifs. And we weren't going 3-0 in our other 3 games. This is a good start for a team trying to get better.
