  1. This team is garbage. They deserve all the hate and disrespect they get. Pathetic
  2. Greg Williams Defence.

On the topic of the defense... I had been suspecting, and it was pretty much confirmed in this interview, that Gregg Williams wanted the Steelers to play the quick throw game and that's why we saw more guys dropping into coverage instead of blitzing last week. Interesting to think that it's part of the reason they were so blitz-happy in the preseason. I'm curious how the defense will be called this upcoming game. Interesting interview
  3. Some info on Mike Jordan, the CB claimed off waivers, and one of only 4 CBs on the roster currently http://theramswire.usatoday.com/2017/08/16/los-angeles-rams-michael-jordan-pff-preseason-week-1-highest-rated/
  4. Browns claim Kasen Williams WR

@Bonanza23 I couldn't say. If I had to guess I see him more as a possession, move the sticks type of guy, and a potential redzone threat. The other "knock" on him seems to be lazy route running. Al Saunders, do your work.
  5. Browns claim Kasen Williams WR

    Copied from another site:
  6. Burley, Hillary, Sterup and Higgins are the bottom of the roster IMO. I could see any of the first three being replaced by a waiver claim. Higgins I think might deserve to be replaced, but I think the FO still wants to give him more time to develop as it does traditionally take a couple of years for the light to come on for WRs
  7. I could still see us adding a CB or T to the active roster via waiver claim. I believe the deadline for waiver claims is tomorrow at 1p?
  8. The Browns 53-man roster breaks down as follows: Offense (25) Quarterbacks (3): DeShone Kizer, Cody Kessler, Kevin Hogan; running backs (3): Isaiah Crowell, Duke Johnson Jr., Matthew Dayes; fullback (1): Danny Vitale; wide receivers (5): Kenny Britt, Corey Coleman, Sammie Coates, Ricardo Louis, Rashard Higgins; tight ends (3): Randall Telfer, Seth DeValve, David Njoku; offensive linemen (10): Joe Thomas, Joel Bitonio, JC Tretter, Kevin Zeitler, Shon Coleman, Rod Johnson, Marcus Martin, Spencer Drango, Austin Reiter, Zach Sterup Defense (25) Defensive linemen (10): Myles Garrett, Danny Shelton, Trevon Coley, Emmanuel Ogbah, Caleb Brantley, Tyrone Holmes, Jamie Meder, Carl Nassib, Larry Ogunjobi, Nate Orchard; linebackers (5): Jamie Collins Sr., Christian Kirksey, Joe Schobert, Dominique Alexander, James Burgess; defensive backs (10): Jamar Taylor, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, Jason McCourty, Marcus Burley, Darius Hillary, Jabrill Peppers, Derrick Kindred, Ibraheim Campbell, Calvin Pryor III, Kai Nacua Specialists (3) Kicker (1): Zane Gonzalez; punter (1): Britton Colquitt; long snapper (1): Charley Hughlett
  9. Browns release Brock Osweiler

Two points that I rarely see brought up but that I feel like also should be considered with regards to taking on that contract: 1. The team needs to meet the requirement set in the new CBA regarding the salary floor (which I admit I don't fully understand) that if the team doesn't meet the minimum qualifications they pay a fine equal to the amount to get them to the floor, so part of the $16 million may have been spent either way. At least this way we also get a draft asset. 2. Having Brock in the room throughout OTAs and minicamp and training camp as a veteran presence (one who did get his own tutelage from one Peyton Manning) not only allowed Kizer to see how a professional studies and prepares, but allowed Kizer to work his way up the depth chart, legitimately "winning" the job from the veteran, and completely avoiding a QB controversy. If Kizer pans out and that 2nd is turned into a future 1st, I'd say the money was well spent.
