  1. Romo and Danny both being better than Roger. I like Romo and used to defend him when people gave him too much blame for the Cowboys’ failures. I just didn’t know anyone thought he was on that level.
  2. Of course. The guy that started this conversation mentioned a COVID study that used BMI. It talked about people with BMI over 35 being high risk, and I was just pointing out the obvious flaw in that logic. Myles’s BMI is 33 according to an online calculator I found, but that’s still obese according to BMI, which is absolutely ridiculous when you look at the guy. However, there may be something to his point if you were to look at body fat percentages instead. That said, the majority of people don’t have the muscle mass of Garrett, and body fat is much harder to calculate.
  3. It’s surprising the numbers in Oceania aren’t higher with Big Brother overseeing things.
  4. They spit in our faces? Wouldn’t it only be more dangerous for themselves? Edit: I think I get what you mean now.
  5. https://abcnews.go.com/US/178-staffers-houston-methodist-hospital-suspended-complying-covid/story?id=78195532 “178 staffers at Houston Methodist hospital suspended for not complying with COVID-19 vaccine mandate”
  6. Never thought I’d see the day...
  7. I just finished watching LA Confidential for the first time in around 20 years. I still liked it, but it doesn’t even come close to the audiobook, which I listened to for the first time this year. The book is usually better than the movie, but this movie has a 99% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Then again, I doubt most people would like James Ellroy’s writing as much as I do. He is completely un-PC and writes very dense, intricate plots.
  8. Yeah writing endings is his obvious weak point. He has even poked fun at himself for it in the past. I recently finished Different Seasons, which includes the source material for two of the better movie adaptations of his work, The Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me. I preferred those novellas to the other two in the book, Apt Pupil and The Breathing Method, but they were all good.
  9. It and The Green Mile are my favorite King books. I liked The Stand too. 11-22-63 is next on my list.
  10. I was skeptical anyway, but thank you all for letting me know that Bautista zombie movie is not worth my time.
  11. Maybe so, but I remember people were questioning why they did that deal before Dak’s. Couldn’t they have waited a year and then paid him the 25% more if he had proven he was capable of playing at that level 2 years in a row?
