  1. Alt. I’m not messing around at LT with a young QB, especially when we don’t have a competent RT on the roster and will likely have to slide help away from whichever rookie LT that we have starting Week 1.
  2. Probably should’ve been in here anyways.
  3. I know far less about the draft than I used to, but even with a trade down I’d be scared of Latham.
  4. So weird to see a Titans coach just sitting down and having an open discussion about players/philosophy with a media member.
  5. The talk about Sneed’s knees reminds me of the talk about AJ’s knees after we traded him. We’re talking about a guy that has played 40 games the last two years and the only possible sources on the subject are either the Chiefs, who have to justify not keeping an elite corner entering his prime, or teams that were looking to push down either his trade value or his contract demands.
  6. After a year of watching Hopkins get away with the same OPI he has everywhere else, I think once refs have decided how they’re going to officiate a player, it’s unlikely to change based on the color of their jersey.
  7. @-Hope- This is what I saw.
  8. 4 years, $76 million. Keep all of our picks this year. Love it.
  9. If we can get him without giving up a 2024 pick, sign me up.
  10. I feel like you’re misremembering the timeline. The Julio connections started long after CD had already signed with the Jets. By the time any Julio smoke started, we were in a state of pure desperation at WR2. Dont get me wrong, the Julio trade was a disaster, but none of us were talking about Julio when discussing whether or not Corey was worth the contract the Jets gave him.
  11. I think, in an ideal world, you’d have a competent player calling the plays and making the checks. Which Jayon certainly was. But it also guarantees significant playing time, and we don’t have a single LB on the roster that deserves that guarantee. I’d guess it’s Murray, but Ran also just said we were going to let him play instinctively and without thinking too much, which doesn’t necessarily describe the player that can communicate with the DC on the field.
  12. I mean, it’s the player responsible for being the voice of the DC on the field and making sure the other 10 guys know the call? They’re also typically on the field almost every snap. And right now the most likely candidates are Murray, who has been bad in the NFL, and Gibbens, who is an athletic liability that should have a very limited role and not be on the field 90% of the time.
  13. I don’t think it’s we’re going to suck as much as we are just littered with holes on defense. It’s literally a starting DE, a starting NT, a starting ILB, a starting S and a starting CB. And a pass rusher to rotate with Landry and Key. Im not panicked since I don’t think we’re destined for great things in 2024 and adding Cushenberry, Ridley, Pollard and hopefully Alt should give us a relatively clear picture of what we have in Levis. And if it’s not great, then the defense probably won’t carry us to wins and we’ll be in a spot to go QB next year. And if it is great, then who cares, the defense can be a focus next year. Its just wild to have so much of the starting defense completely up in the air. I like what Ran’s done, the pickings are just real bare at OT, DL, LB and CB and we only have two picks in the top 100.
  14. If we hadn’t just signed Rudolph I think I would’ve made that trade honestly.
  15. If he was willing to take a short term deal this was one we really needed to get done.
  16. I have no idea how we’re going to fill out the defense.
  17. Not even Bill Callahan thought he could salvage him.
  18. Was really hoping he wouldn’t leave town without a deal.
  19. Gonna need to close deals with Baker and Chase Young on their visits.
  20. Need for talent up front on both sides of the ball is real desperate and going to be real hard to come by.
  21. Higgins is better. I don’t think there’s much of a question there. But I don’t think he’s a top 40 pick better.
  22. Yeah, we’d have to be talking a 2025 7th or something to take on money.
  23. I haven’t been as bummed as most about this, but for some reason this really drove things home in a painful way.
  24. From the outside, I guess I could maybe get the confusion if you have absolutely no understanding of the state of the team. To us, it’s obvious. You have $80 million in cap room and no significant extension candidates for the next two years, there’s literally a salary floor, so you’re just aggressively filling needs and adding talent. But if you don’t understand the cap and just assume we’re in the early stages of a complete rebuild, then it would be weird to see us being arguably the most aggressive team in FA.
