  1. Ranking The Roster - #8

He’ll get my last vote. It’s when you get to the end that you see where the real amount of growth this team has had under JR. The top five isn’t incredible, but the idea of having to leave off multiple legitimately good football players is miles ahead of where we used to be. During the dark days, we were tossing in any young player that flashed anything. Now, guys like Jonnu and Landry probably won’t even get a single vote.
  2. Ranking The Roster - #6

    Jayon. Definitely Jayon.
  3. Ranking The Roster - #5

I mean, he had 605 yards in the last six games after having 446 through the first 10, so I’m sure the split is significant.

  5. 2020 Titans Off-Season

I am a Clowney signing away from being all-in.
  6. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

That’s kind of my point, we were able to get through Brady and Lamar with Tannehill. The 49ers went through Rodgers, beat Russell Wilson to get a bye in the first place with Jimmy G. The only thing that stopped both teams was Mahomes. If three all time greats and the MVP coming off of a historic season could all be knocked off, why do we think it’s impossible to win a SB with Tannehill?
  7. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

All roads lead through Mahomes is really the message here. The 49ers went through a conference with Rodgers, Wilson and Brees. We went through arguably the greatest QB in NFL history and the MVP of the league.
  8. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

We just need to be a better regular season team. It’s asking a lot to go through Baltimore and Kansas City on the road in back to back weeks. For me, any road to the SB would begin with a strong enough regular season that we can somehow force the Chiefs and Ravens to beat up on each other before we see them. Which yeah, is tough. But the 49ers also just went 13-3 with a worse QB, so it’s not impossible.
  9. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

Yeah, we’re clearly committed to him at this point. The AAV doesn’t worry me much, but I’m still pretty surprised we weren’t able to get something done that gave us an out after Year 2.
  10. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

No, I don’t think he’s a top five QB. I also don’t think we’ve built an offense that is designed for a QB to carry us to big second half rallies, not when we’re clearly prioritizing run blocking on the line and running 11 personnel the second lowest percentage of any team in the league. Tannehill fits exactly what we are asking for out of a QB under the Smith/Vrabel plan. Elite PA and deep passer that’s comfortable throwing into tight windows and can move outside of the pocket. If the run game isn’t working and the defense can’t get a stop (Chiefs game), we’re obviously in trouble. But with the exception of a few QBs, that’s always going to be the case.
  11. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

And the above is not to say that 2019 is statistically sustainable. Just that the middle ground between Dolphins Tannehill and 2019 Tannehill would be a damn good QB.
  12. Titans Resign Ryan Tannehill

There’s this really weird thing happening where people somehow think that Dolphins Tannehill was a bad QB. When healthy, he was always a good QB. The worst thing that ever happened to him is that he got Gase’d for three years and lost a chunk of his prime playing for one of the worst “offensive minds” in football. Do we think it’s some kind of coincidence that Tannehill, Kenyan Drake and DeVante Parker all have career years the second they got away from Gase? Or that Darnold showed virtually no progress and Le’Veon Bell was a shell of himself last year?
  13. Introduce Yourself

Kind of stealing this from iPwn and the Jags (I know, who would ever want to take anything from the Jags), I figure this is as good a time as any.to reacquaint ourselves with the veteran posters and welcome any new faces. Pretty simple format (courtesy of dee in the other Intro thread in the old forum): Name:Age:City: How many years have you been a fan?:Favorite Titans: Favorite genre of music: Favorite Movies: Happiest Titan Moment: Intended Career/Career: Random facts:
  14. 2020 Titans Schedule

Definitely need a fast start this year.
  15. 2020 Titans Schedule

I do not enjoy having 5 of our last 7 on the road.
  16. 2020 Titans Schedule

Also, if you’re going to play in Denver in prime time, playing in front of no fans after the sun is down and the temperature has dropped isn’t the worst thing.
  17. 2020 Titans Schedule

More I think about it, more I like it. Playing a young team with a young QB and two early pick WRs coming out of what I’m sure will be a weird offseason. Get them before they develop chemistry.
  18. 2020 Titans Schedule

Not a bad match up. Denver could be good, will be a nice test early.
  19. 2020 Titans Schedule

    Lol. Just a month off.
  20. 2020 Titans Off-Season

I guess not. Just wouldn’t want to get my hopes up. Which is a particular bummer since I live in GB and would have two games within pretty easy driving range.
  21. 2020 Titans Off-Season

So there’s that. Anyways, I don’t know why anyone is talking about which games they want to go to. My only hope is that there’s actually a season, I’d be stunned if there were fans in the stands.
  22. AFC South Discussion Thread

Figure we can have a separate thread to discuss the happenings around the rest of the division. For instance, say a Jaguars player gets charged with battery for punching a guy and throwing his groceries in a lake because he criticized his driving:
  23. AFC South Discussion Thread

I love Jonathan Taylor. I have no real worries about Michael Pittman. But nah, give me Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Hunter Henry, Austin Ekeler and Melvin Gordon all day. Up there with one of the best supporting casts in the entire league. The line is great. I also remember reading that Rivers was far better against the blitz the last couple years than he was against three or four man rushes. So while the line is obviously a big advantage, if the way to beat an aging Rivers is to drop into coverage and not worry a ton about quick pressure, that kind of negates it a bit.
  24. 2020 Titans Off-Season

    Pretty obvious move.
