We had some posts memory holed in this very thread last week lol
I missed all the fun. Sounds like more free speech going on around here (so long as the free speech fits a narrative).

Hi Nate your in good voice
love the optimism like we are going to beat a kc with a 90 rating qb.
love the Willis extension
love Jerry Jeudy signing the only thing left is to sign aWR that averages 300yards a year with Lamar, stafford, and Mayfield to 18 million dollar deal.
question what do you think judge Judy’s madden rating will be with leshaun throwning him passes?

TERRIBLE investment.
AB really all-in on bringing the anti-culture to Cleveland these days.

For real where you at bro? @NateDawg
There’s not been much football to talk about beyond silly season. Most that’s worth talking about is overly moderated on FF anyhow. It’s officially draft week though so I have carved some time out of my busy schedule now to bring the AB hate. You are all welcome.

You’re going to need to explain to him what a day off is.
Mike wouldn’t know anything about those.

We are in early as the 16th best odds for a championship next season.
IMO that’s low. I think we are probably somewhere in the 8-12 range.

IMO this place has maybe 2-3 more years of existence under current regime and philosophy. There is too much worth talking about in the world that we are not allowed to and when off-season mode is dead around here at some point, eventually people aren’t going to come back for the season since they have found another place to talk.

These discussions about politics are more polite than discussions about the sex pest or Baker to be fair.
And no one is advocating hunting Dutch either.
Yeah, the censorship around here is extreme and personally I don’t mind conversations that have a degree of thought at least. We can either talk about relevant things or we can talk for the next eight months about basically nothing since there’s nothing going on in the football world outside of when free agency and draft hit.
Fought over my boys close this morning after some video game Dutch hunting.

I care less about the T-Swift shots then that Im fatigued by the Mahomes/Kelce clan in general. Purdy is a guy that’s just easier to root for than Mahomes. We have seen these guys colors come out when things aren’t going their way. Easy example was some of the outbursts you have seen by Travis Kelce or Mahomes vs. Buffalo. Credit given though, they have a clutch quarterback and a fantastic defense, and they earned the championship with some road wins and coming back again against San Francisco. Swift doesn’t bother me on an individual level. Good for her being able to go to all these games, she is a billionaire. The NFL just uses all the shots for their financial advantage, can’t really knock it. Jackson Mahomes is probably the cringiest dude on the planet though so there is definitely just a recipe for the Chief being the perfect modern day heel all around.
The Kelce thing last night was a little ridiculous though. I get the frustration, but he is on a national stage and every kid is watching. Whatever, you can call me a boomer, but I think it’s a sad example for the kids and what they are aspiring to become. And for the fan girls of Taylor who know Travis now as her boyfriend I guess.

Bottom line this team is going to go as far as the health/predator take them. We had a crazy amount of injury last season. Next season, if we can at least have average health for an NFL team and get solid quarterback play, sky is the limit. The leshaun thing is just such an unknown part in this.
-
Yeah, I’m not necessarily saying that bringing him in is a hindrance to the run game. I’m just saying that’s still the factor that’s being determined as far as how this offense goes. The physicality upfront was pathetic last season.

Smoke and mirrors. When it’s 2nd and 9 every time because we aren’t physical and still can’t run the ball, the weapons we have only get us so far. We will see I guess if Chip Kelly convinces Ryab Day to allow a quarterback to use his legs as an extra guy to account for. Regardless, when I see them start controlling the game the way they need to on offense I will change my tune a bit, but I’ve not seen anything yet that shores up the biggest deficits on that side of the ball.
-
They needed to establish a physical identity upfront offense.
So they hired Chip Kelly…
Chip signaling for the no-huddle while Day has Will Howard dialing up 60 passing plays will make for some fun.

Never liked the guy. I don’t necessarily think this is the best career move for him because with their roster next season, they will probably win just a few games. That’s a job I see him lasting only a few seasons. I don’t necessarily blame him for the move though. It’s his decision to make. He gets to stay in Boston and be a head coach again which are obviously two things he cares about here.

Putting the AD who oversaw UM in charge of the CFB committee was not on my radar.

Lions are imploding. It hurts me as a browns fan because they are the NFC version of us.

Michigan is in a weird spot in their coaching search. Pretty clearly the most cohesive thing they can do is to just make Sherone Moore the head coach. They would retain the guys I imagine that arent going with Harbaugh to the Chargers coaching staff. They would also I imagine avoid a chunk of the exodus I would expect with a total coaching turnover. In the long run though, there are probably better coaching options out there. With what’s coming or could come though from the NCAA, there could be a limitations on who would step into that.

Draft a mid-round running back. If Chubb isn’t healthy, we at least need another competent back. Even if he is healthy, it’s not a bad thing to have. Ford is JAG RB2. Let Hunt figure out if he wants to stick in the NFL elsewhere. He was a fine short yardage guy and that’s kind of where he is at this point.

It’s still so weird seeing Paul Hembekides aka Hembo as the famous ESPN stat guy. Played college baseball with him. He was an odd dude. Guess it makes sense he became a nerd though.
