  1. TARFT: New Forum, New Thread

I've had to go back to school since my current degree has yielded me basically nothing. (Political Science and History degrees and I don't live in the DC area nor do I want to) So I've been pretty busy with school and keeping my Fiancee happy since we had to push back our wedding and move in with my parents while I finish up school. (2 years to go) Damn life can be hectic. But I definitely miss posting on this forum.

I agree with the Sarri criticism for the most part but I'm just going to play a little devil's advocate here. Sarri has basically said all year he wanted to play Loftus-Cheek but he's had injury issues that have been keeping him out. And as good as Hudson-Odoi has been you can see why a manager might be reluctant to give him lots of starts right away, because he can be fairly impatient on the ball. (also one of his best qualities because of how direct he plays) He definitely should have been given loads more minutes coming off the bench though as an offensive spark. I can't understand why its taken so long for that to happen.

He comes back as an extremely educated young man with an impeccable vocabulary
  4. This is how they decided to rebrand the team. I absolutely HATE the random soccer ball, but I think everything else is pretty great. This is the downtown area which influenced the brick and arches references in the crest for those unfamiliar.
  5. USMNT Thread: Wandering in the Wilderness

Except Berhalter is a pretty good hire?
  6. Anyone else watching the USL final tonight? So fitting that Drogba's last game ever is a final.
  7. USL 2 is currently the u23 league for the USL. The speculation is that the move from Pontiac to Flint (to a bigger stadium and Market) is a precursor to a move to USL League One, which is the 2nd division of the current USL and its set to begin play in 2019. So the pyramid right now in US soccer would look like this starting in 2019, with the Flint based team starting in USL 2 with the hopes of joining USL League One. There is no current promotion relegation system in place but its been rumored that the USL wants to incorporate it for its top 2 leagues. MLS USL USL League One USL 2 Edit: Here's some more info about he USL https://www.uslsoccer.com//unitedforsoccer
  8. Woooo I finally have my own local club to support. The Michigan Bucks are relocating from Pontiac to Flint after more than 15 years of operation in Pontiac. We have a great stadium for them to play in (11,000 seat Atwood Stadium) and hopefully we can get some great local support like DCFC has in Detroit. They are probably one of the most successful lower league soccer clubs in recent history too. 11 US open cup qualifications(including a cup win over the New England Revolution) , 11 divisional championships, and 3 national titles. I am beyond excited

Olivier Giroud is so freaking good.

If Willian is happy to be a super sub then we have a really deadly combo on the right. Pedro runs and runs all game long and wears on defenders which leaves a perfect situation to bring Willian in to dribble at them.

Damn, you guys don't mess around. I feel like we all got engaged around the same time and my fiancee and I won't be getting married until next summer. Weddings are too freaking expensive for my poor ***
  12. Transfers & Rumors: Deadline Drama!

That they still have Rony Lopes to play on the wing? Not to mention Jordi Mboula, Samuel Grandsir, and WIllem Guebbels who they supposedly rate pretty highly. I don't know why anyone is shocked. This is what Monaco does. The loan includes a €42m option to buy and a percentage of any future transfer. That's pretty good business for Monaco. They're never going to be a club that can hold on to top players just based on population numbers in Monaco and their ability to fill their stadium.
  13. 2018/2019 EPL Thread

Uhhhh, Pre-VVD Liverpool defense was in fact completely terrible. They're ability to score 3-4 goals a game just could save them at times.
  14. 2018/2019 EPL Thread

Fabiański is a far better keeper than Joe Hart. This isn't the same Flappyhandski from Arensal. I follow the Polish national team pretty closely and there have been many teams he's look the better keeper than Szczęsny. West Ham bad because West Ham is bad, not because they brought in a different keeper.
  15. The Chelsea FC Thread

Just a thought, but wouldn't you guys say its pretty arguable that Chelsea have the best defender, midfielder, and attacking player in the premier league? (Azpilicueta, Kante, Hazard)
