The franchise tag going away isn’t happening. For something that affects 0.5% of players, it’s just not worth the fight.

Rookie deals are the same for every position. First rounders get 4 year deal with 5th year option. I saw someone mention that the NFL should move to a RB/WR/TE franchise tag to balance the RBs.

That be a huge gamble for Barkley. He’s been hurt in more seasons than healthy. Gambling on himself in a dead running back market. If all goes amazingly for him, he would be franchised again for just a $3M increase of his current salary. There’s just way too many factors against him.
