9 Prospect
  1. Watson and Kamara

Just like at Clemson (17ints his last season and 30 in his last two seasons) Watson is not afraid to throw it up there and trust his receiver to make a play. I don't think he's ever going to be a guy with fewer than 12ints over a season. But it seems to work out for him.
  2. Watson and Kamara

He was pretty great. It certainly helped him that he had Bill O'Brien completely open up the offense and that he was throwing deep to De'andre Hopkins and Will Fuller. It looked a lot like the Clemson offense - but rather than Mike Williams catching all those 50/50 balls - he had Hopkins. I was a huge Watson fan and was pretty pissed when Pace turned in Trubisky's name (although I thought Trubisky was a great prospect in his own right). That said - I'm excited to see what Mitch can do with an offense that more closely resembles what he had at North Carolina - but with actual NFL quality receivers.
  3. New Bears - New numbers

    I love LB's in the 40's
  4. Bold Predictions

Vegas had the O/U of # of QB's drafted in the first round at 5 1/2 , so...
  5. Bears Pick Bilal Nichols in the 5th Round

He excelled at the East / West Shrine game and was subsequently invited to the Senior Bowl and combine. From Matt Miller:

  8. Bears Pick Bilal Nichols in the 5th Round

I'm not sure what more you wanted to see from him. He was double-teamed on all but a handful of snaps. For the most part he did his job - he stood up/occupied the C&OG and played NT like he was asked to. On passing plays he wasn't being asked to rush - rather he was all but 'spying' the QB to make sure Josh Jackson didn't kill them with chunk yards on the ground. Delaware wasn't going to allow Jackson to kill them with his feet by giving him lanes to run through. He finished that game with 5 tackles (2nd on the team) a sack, a TFL, and a QB hurry. From the NT position.
  9. Day 2 & 3 Mock

PJ Hall has exceptional character and talent. Arden Key is this years Randy Gregory. I'm not going to waste a pick on that.
  10. 2018 NFL Draft Thread - READ!!!

I've convinced myself I'm all in on Connor Williams. He can start Day 1 at LG and eventually move out to LT. Get it done Pace.
  11. Day 2 & 3 Mock

I wouldn't draft Arden Key in the 7th round. PJ Hall is my spirit animal. I went to a half-dozen of his games at SHSU and he was an absolute animal on the field. He's going to be a steal for someone in the third round or beyond. I love me some Anthony Miller - hope he's available for us if we get a third.

Top 12 remaining - in no particular order: OG Will Hernandez OC James Baldwin OT Connor Williams EDGE Harold Landry EDGE Kemoko Turay DB Isaiah Oliver DB Josh Jackson RB Darrius Guice RB Ronald Jones II WR Christian Kirk WR Courtland Sutton WR Anthony Miller There is a ton of talent still available. Bears should be looking to trade down if Landry/Hernandez don't fall to them.
