  1. Yeah Death Proof was enjoyable, better of the two in the double feature
  2. Fair if you don’t love his profile Would disagree you can find guys like him late. That kind of power while being a sub 4.6 dude isn’t just out there a ton. He’s not a no notes guy for me, but he’s a first round talent. Good length, has some pass rush plan already and is coming in at a plus point on strength.
  3. I can get a tiny bit if they are a guy playing RG for a couple years…but to take Mims and have him sit is just not great. If they do take one also makes me question why the hell they took Steen right outside the second round last year. OL is only below positions that make zero sense (QB, RB, LB in this draft) for positions I’d be annoyed they took round one. Guy like Mims just multiplies that annoyance by not playing.
  4. Why would Verse be gross? Just curious only big flag I have for him is age
  5. Best thing I could say about Mims is we probably don’t have to move up to get him, compared to the other Tackles. But yeah wouldn’t love the pick.
  6. Finally made my way back to restarting Red Dead Redemption II a month or so ago. I bought it on release and put like 20 hours into it but got super busy for a couple months. Every time I went back to it I just felt lost, so just shelved it for years. The first Redemption is one of my all time favorite games. So knew I’d always come into RDR2 with unfairly high expectations. But having just finished the story, I was just blown away. What a masterpiece of a game. Everything was handled so beautifully on top of having a sandbox that you truly felt you were living in. Always a special experience when you know a game is going to end up being like that and make its way into your all time list early while playing it. Same with Arthur becoming one of my favorite protagonists of all time. Better yet is how it works so well as a companion to the previous game. The stories are so entwined and you can play them in with order. But it heightens one of the all time best game narratives. Glad I saved it until I had the time to just enjoy it and get lost in it with no breaks.
  7. Story I remember was he hadn’t really done much on Dillard because they thought he’d go way earlier. Stout was brought in to double check late and said sure, but it wasn’t like the long process of work he did for Mailata, Jurgens, etc
  8. Saw it the other day, had a lot better view on it. Think the visuals were just your theater, it’s not a peak visual marvel or anything but that wasn’t an issue seeing it at a good screening. That sucks though, my old theater would be awful with some of that stuff. There are some cool shots. Action was pretty enjoyable, especially as the story grew. Which I didn’t realize would be the structure of it. Really enjoyed some of the tight editing and composition they used to layer them in the screen. Some cool techniques like using first person or pass throughs to put you in it. Far less of a ballet of fighting that Wick is. A little more loose and desperate I guess I’d describe it. The dialogue being hard to hear is fair, though they could’ve almost just not done any dialogue and the story would still work ha. Simple revenge tale, immersed in an interesting cultural spin to it that you don’t see a lot of outside of lighter Bollywood movies. Which is mostly what we get from there. I think most people who like rougher action films and/or Dev Patel will be happy with it. Peele getting on board helped get it a wide release but probably took away some of the zing it could’ve had as a cult action film.
  9. tough one, Latu comes in already having one of the better move sets but the injury is obviously a big asterisk. I’ll say Verse, though I totally get the Latu love. And why someone might put him above. Hate that they are both going to be 24 this season. That kinda makes you wary too, are they already maxed out and took advantage of that gap in school? Looking at the two side by side if I had to say that was maybe more of the case for one…I’d say Latu benefited in a way that he won’t in the NFL. Shorter arms, advanced hand usage has a counter way more in the league when you are playing mostly long athletic freaks every week. I do like that Latu fought back to play, just like I like Verse’s story of how he got to FSU. So haven’t had too much negative mindset stuff that helps sway things. As I said up top personal preference, I’ll take Verse as the better career pick. Already way ahead on the power side of things and he isn’t totally devoid of the bend, agility or hand moves those sorta prospects typically lack. Think that translates to longer more productive careers. Just throwing out the injury stuff for Latu here because that makes it an all the more easier choice. Latu: More dependent on situation but a higher boom potentially if he can develop more power or just allowed to rush upfield with advantage outside. Verse: Should be able to fit wherever, has a higher floor to me. Longer frame/arms than a lot of guys who usually fall in this camp. Latu is more of an ornamental finishing piece for a team than Verse, who I can see being a pillar type player…even if his sack numbers aren’t as high as Latu. Does a lot more for you.
  10. I do thoroughly enjoy when the fanbases are activated for full cope. ”Imagine paying a really good player pshhh” ”Couldn’t be us lol” ”Couldn’t be us….”
  11. Hoping we get some early move ups for the Quarterbacks prior to the draft, start plummeting those costs early. Those top 13 teams/spots going QB crazy will make me happy. Like if Penix goes there to make it 5 it helps us out a lot.
  12. I mean him and his agent aren’t dumb, sure they considered when to do the deal. I think large part was just the situation he’s in he’s comfortable with and didn’t want to move on over another 1-3mil per. Option was there to holdout til the eagles traded him, or less likely he walked and got a record breaking deal from like the Jags or Panthers.
  13. I do love how much more the draft guys have Arnold, Mitchell sliding down towards us
  14. If you remove context you can shape any narrative you need. Removing future context / foresight doesn’t make a ton of sense. Especially when there are more than a handful of guys his age that need deals too this or next year. It’s not a low chance future prediction. Also by the nature of it happening it sets a benchmark for those deals that usually means Smith’s deal will be the starting spot for players agents, that are in similar situations.
  15. These are their new set (Home, Away and Alt)
  16. Lamb for sure, would’ve said Parsons was obvious too but could trade him if they are rebuilding and the reports of the FO moving off him are true Really don’t get the chicken they are playing on Dak.
  17. A lot of it is just structures of the deals, like when some of the big money on those kick in, others will be off the books of a ti y portion in void years. It’s a delicate balance though for sure, one that requires them to hit on rookie replacements as the turnover process. Which is so so.
  18. Howie having job security plus the go ahead from Lurie to spend and do the void years is a cheat code.
  19. Clean, Classic uniform. A bit boring yeah, but improvement for sure. Assume in a year or two we’ll see them add a white helmet / 4th look to the set. Updated logos are nice too, even if it is also a returned look.
  20. So happy we don’t have to see him walk, was pretty sure a deal would get done but was a slight worry just because hard to tell where he was on it.
  21. Seems like it, plus an all black look
  22. Most reports say they will probably be these Alts, expanded to a full set. (Green and Black version of everything, plus white the new rule maybe a white helmet too)
