  1. I'm the same way, I remember back when the first Harry Potter movie came out, I got through the first 4 books (all that were out at the time) in 3 days. I don't have time to read like that anymore. I enjoyed the movie enough to go try the books (which are vastly superior for the most part, except maybe PoA).
  2. And that was a mistake that cost them multiple first round picks and multiple day 2 picks to fix. If Mayfield doesn't come back this year and look elite, no way I give him that contract.
  3. Demand hasn't met the asking price for Watson yet. I'll take that analogy when Watson is actually traded. I'm not exactly going to be convinced to go get a guy who quits on his team, his team mates, and his fans because he's ONLY getting $20 mil or $30 mil, especially one who doesn't have a long track record of elite play. Mayfield may not like it, but I don't see him holding out because of it. The way to get paid like an elite QB is to perform like one, and really to do it more than once. He can push for that long term deal all he wants, but in the end both sides have to agree to a de
  4. The whole hero's journey and mystical backgrounds involved go back hundreds/thousands of years.
  5. I definitely picked up on the Fremen worshipping the worms and whatever name they had for them.
  6. That makes more sense, I just remember them saying it was spice that made interstellar travel possible. As a means of currency, something that everybody wants, is a lot more feasible.
  7. What about that suggests alternate timelines? Psychic maybe, like that guy was talking to someone else and Paul saw it as himself. Hallucinations given the spice and his vision of Zendaya kissing/killing him. They also don't really get into how spice (essentially desert LSD) makes interstellar travel possible, but I was ok giving that a pass. Hyperfuel, or whatever, although i'm not sure how something has that much potential energy AND is consumable, but i'm nitpicking here. Like I said, didn't really have a problem with that, just thought about it now.
  8. Considering his other option is hold out, tank his value and possibly his career, i'd say he has very good reasons to do that.
  9. Put me in the 5th year option and then franchise him crowd. Need more data. Let the coaches and system remain the same and get another healthy year before making that call. If he gets hurt again, then another data point gets more prevalent, can he stay healthy? Jumping the gun now isn't worth saving a few million a year in what will be an exploding cap over the next 3 years.
  10. Except you can't make movies only for people who have read the books, there was nothing in the movie to let us know this.
  11. As long as they stay healthy, I think so. Trey Hopkins coming off an achilles injury has been playing better the more we get into the season, Quentin Spain is an average interior lineman, and Carman has some growing pains, but has a high ceiling and hasn't been abysmal at least. The at tackle the Bengals are above average with Jonah Williams and Riley Reiff. I'm much more worried about interior rushers than edge guys, because Edge guys are easier to double and the strength of the OL is at tackle for the Bengals. Just have to stay healthy, that is the key.
  12. Dave Chappelle said it best.
  13. Week 1 pick: Los Angeles Rams Week 2 pick: Cleveland Browns Week 3 pick: Denver Broncos Week 4: Cincinnati Bengals Week 5: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 6: Indianapolis Colts Week 7: New England Patriots Week 8: Buffalo Bills
  14. Spencer might be the one that got away. With an 85 rating as a rookie and a Star dev, decent shot at rookie of the year if given the starting spot which likely elevates him to super star with an outside shot at x-factor in the future after that.
  15. I don't know how this even gets green lit unless the sequel is already green lit as well.
  16. My kids are anxiously awaiting this, but they also enjoyed The Avengers game. Didn't love it, but they had a lot of fun with it.
  17. My post is going to sound critical, but in the end this movie is pretty solid. This was a 2.5 hour prologue more than a movie. Honestly, this really should have been a big budget series so much more than a movie. It would be like if the first 3-4 seasons of GoT were compacted into a 2 2.5 hour movies and they only include the payoff scenes. All this stuff that is supposed to have emotional weight behind it, don't because we literally just got introduced to these characters and we haven't been on any real journey with them. And don't get me wrong, the cinematography is epically bea
  18. I was busy with my own boys football games yesterday but when I checked the final at halftime of the 2nd I literally had an audible "Wait....WHAT!" I was legit shocked that we handed the Ravens a beat down like that, in their own house no less. Chase is on pace for over 1800 receiving yards (granted in a 17 game schedule) and 17 TD's. WR's have competed for RoY honors with the stats he already has through seven games.
  19. Seeing fanboys squeal on Facebook is always hilarious. "WHERE'S SULLY's MUSTAAAAAAAAAACCCCHHHHEEEE!!!!!!!"
  20. This is the kind of game the Bengals have to win to start changing the narrative about the franchise.
  21. He's also only just over a third of the way into the season. Hold this pace the next 5-6 games and then i'll take it a little more seriously. All it takes is 1 or 2 down games and these projections go poof. If he goes out and rushes 23 times for 65 yards next week with a fumble and the numbers change a lot. It's still way too early in the season to throw around GOAT season talk.
  22. I think both teams should wear orange color rush jerseys and let madness ensue!
