How much value do you place on one game though? I guess I just don't see a $15 per year contract for Keenum if he wins the Super Bowl turning into a $3 per year because he lost the NFCC. I think he was always going to get a mid-level contract after the season he had, regardless of his playoff outcomes. And one can blame him for the Eagles loss but have to give credit for the Saints win as well.

Let's make both teams 100% healthy. Rodgers improves the Packers offense, pretty drastically. The Vikings defense is still much, much better than that of the Packers. Rodgers being injured didn't help the Vikings beat the Redskins, Falcons, or Bengals. The Vikings are good. This isn't the fluky 7-9 Seahawks we are talking about.

I have a different take. As I noted, the Vikings have much better value at the skills. The Packers spend eleventy billion dollars on WRs and Scumbag Bennett. But some of the production issues with the Packers was because of how truly horrible Hundley played this season. Trade Keenum for Hundley straight-up and the Vikings skill guys suddenly don't look so hot either. But this is not the discussion that I hoped to have. The Vikings defense is what really sets them above the Packers, and until the Packers can make up some ground on that side of the ball, or the Vikings get truly horrible QB play, the Vikings should be viewed as a better team.
  4. 2018 GB Packer free agents

No reason. The Packers have 4 RBs on rookie contracts. Running backs were hardly the culprit for the Packers losses this season. I think it is a poor use of resources to invest anymore in the RB position.

The Packers advantages over the Vikings are QB and offensive line. IMO the offensive skill positions are close enough to be a push, Vikings certainly get more bang for their buck here. The Vikings defense is a lot better than the Packers defense across the board, unless you maybe take Kenny Clark and whichever safety instead of Sendejo. The Packers need all-world QB play to win, the Vikings need above average QB play to win. I would say that the Vikings top to bottom are better.

It depends on what GMs think of Keenum, I guess. Looking at the FA list, he has some competition. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/quarterback/ And Alex Smith is probably available. If I were a GM, I don't think Case Keenum is a player that I would bet my job on by giving him a big contract.

Well, they were better than we were this season. I would say that we are behind Minnesota and Detroit, and will be until we play some games.

I think that they can get both Keenum and Bridgewater. I don't think either will be prohibitively expensive given the cost of the position they play. I also think that the comfort level for both is highest in Minnesota right now. That is where Keenum has had his best season and where Bridgewater has played his entire career. I also think that they let Bradford walk, and someone will give him enough money to land the Vikings a comp pick. I suppose Keenum could also fetch a comp pick, but I think the safest bet is re-signing Keenum, which will contradict what I am about to write... As for who we want, I personally don't believe Case Keenum will ever repeat this season's production. He had easily his best YPA, TD% and rating, and the only reason he didn't have his best INT% was because of a season he threw 125 passes and 1 INT. He had more of an opportunity this season, but I want him to prove it wasn't a fluke. Not many guys blow up like he did at 29 without showing much beforehand. I think he is Erik Kramer, not Rich Gannon. http://www.nfl.com/player/casekeenum/2532888/careerstats

All of them. However, he unfortunately passes away in 2035 but corpse McCarthy remains as head coach in a Weekend at Bernie's scenario, being controlled by still back-up QB Brett Hundley and special teams ace Jeff Janis.

My great uncle is 90 something and still sings in a couple of big bands. It is a lot of fun to go watch him. I always forget what they are called, we tend to drink, a lot, when the family gets together. @JQ1 I love the Godzilla avatar!
  11. GWT: Week 20 Vikings @ Eagles

He probably lost some leverage. And I honestly think Teddy is still in their plans. I would guess that they could get both Case and Teddy for the cost of an above average starter and let the best man win the job. Then they have a back-up, and likely are spending less on QB anyway with getting out of Bradford's contract.

    Don't ruin this beautiful alliance.
  13. GWT: Week 20 Vikings @ Eagles

I will say that this was my favorite game of the playoffs this season.

    No problem, it happens.
