About Carmen Cygni

  1. TNF: Eagles @ Panthers

I can side with that. Shula was calling too aggressively with a good amount of time on the clock. He was calling then like he should be calling now with less than 2 minutes left.
  2. TNF: Eagles @ Panthers

That last INT was a route miscommunication and a missed adjustment according to the coverage by the WR who should have broken inside, but I see there's an enormous amount of bias of whom immediately slam Cam. Which is always interesting to see regarding a player like Newton.
  3. Agree on both accounts but overall I think it was a smart move for them to give it a shot. In the least, he is a better fit for the Cardinals system than the occasional attempts in the Saints gap scheme.
  4. I think it's a very good move for the Cards. Peterson is a good fit for their zone running scheme which he excelled in during his prime with the Vikings.
  5. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is very real and appropriate lingo. (IOW, not psuedo) [Note to self for future reference: ignore poster]
  6. I'd argue otherwise. Patriots haven't had a losing season for 16 years, they've been dominant for 14 straight years with at least 10+ wins, and have 7 straight seasons with 12+ wins. That's unprecedented in NFL history and is especially remarkable in today's era designed for parity along with free agency.
  7. True. Though a color commentator or game broadcaster would be beneath his abilities. When asked responsible questions his answers are deeply rooted with knowledge and quite fascinating. Even more impressive and appropriate is his ability to explain very complicated X's & O's with simple and understandable dialog. He would be an excellent show host.
  8. Anyone can coach football, huh? How would you defend an RPO out of the NFL's modern base D? Would you set your front to or away from the side of the RB? What about your split coverage call? Zone, Man, or Pattern match coverage? And how would you mask your intentions and distort the QB's read there? Which gap concept would you change to defend the RPO and how would you coach that gap exchange? How would you utilize the read defender? Static, blitz, or bluff? How would these concepts change vs 2x2 and 3x1 formations? And this is just high school stuff, we can get to more advanced concepts and principles after you answer these.
  9. As long as Belichick is there, they will always be a force to be reckoned with across the entire NFL landscape.
  10. Dolphins got away with one on essentially the game winning play as they had 13 players on the field during the fumble return. Wake and Branch walked onto the field before the play was over.
  11. Frank Gore: HOFer?

Bingo. If injuries and a short career can derail a players consideration for the HOF than those who remained healthy, dedicated over a decade to the craft, and all the while being top producers, should receive recognition. I don't think some people appreciate or understand what it takes to play that long in the NFL where most careers average just 2.5 - 3 years.

    Except that they are/were . . .https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/rush_yds_career.htm
  14. SNF ~ Chiefs (4-0) @ Texans (2-2)

Completion percentage is a means to an an end, not the end.
