Stop going for two!
-
Mason looked extremely uncomfortable in the pocket... especially when there is the slightest pressure...a couple of decent throws down field...for the most part he was a non factor... except when he threw int...but he also got a couple of TDs... overall very dissapointing
-
Nice mock...no to the QB..when been here before...if we are going to go qb in the 2 or 3..time to think outside the box and stop letting the league pass us by... I would like desmond ridder here. Outside of that..I like it.

Osweiler DEFINITELY would have? Based on what?
I wouldnt have been completely opposed to giving him a try, but he is not a good QB either. Factor in poor OLine play, a limited running game, inconsistent weapons at WR and TE and some laughably bad offensive playcalling, and there is nothing to support that he would DEFINITELY be better.
Based on his overall stats..his flashed were more sustained then anything mason or duck could have done... brock osweiler is only an example... there was Hogan, josh Johnson, Kaepernick, cassel...mcCown...etc

None of the QBs available would have taken us much futher, if any, than what we had.
Yes.. brock definitely would have.. I think people are unaware at just how inept our Offense was.. even though it should be obvious given the circumstances.

....like who? Mark Sanchez? Brock Ostwiler? Tom Savage?
I think 3 examples is enough.
Brock would have definitely got us more wins..that's not even an opinion.

If you don't think the starting QB wasn't the coaches decision I don't know what to tell you.
I didnt say that.. it's not his decision fully on who to bring in terms of competition.

By mid season..the decision to go on with out a more viable option then mason and duck was disastrous, irresponsible, and ridiculous. Based on the power structure of our team..that's front office territory...

I wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole. He’s almost at AB level with some of his actions lately, including moving the workout 60 miles away an hour before it was supposed to start with some team reps already in the building. Says he wants the media to cover it so it’s “transparent“. NFL gave him a chance it’s never given any other player and the guy doesn’t even appreciate the opportunity and still thinks the NFL is screwing him. If I was a team at the practice center and he moved it I’d just go to the airport and go home
Moving a workout is not even remotely comparable to trying to physically harm your General Manager.

Sexaul abuse. Violence. Racism. Mental, social , behavioral disorders (like AB clearly has) ...these are the things that deter me from prosoects... so yes Kaepernick should be in the minds of the front office and they should get him.
-
Makes horrible reads... no touch on passes, deep throw accuracy is practically non existent, inaccurate. Bad mechanics.

Might be time to consider Hodges. Not saying he will be better, but we should see what we have in him....especially if we fall further out of the playoff race.
Nah..we got enough talent on this team..we dont need to play those games..we aren't the bengals... we need to find a QB now... for this year...there are definitely better options. I'm not turning my back on mason..he just isn't ready ...neither is Duck..but the potential is there..more so with duck I agree..but not now
-
I'm sure there's going to be a 1000 excuses for Mason's performance. The truth is he has been throwing horrible passes and ints all season... juju getting decapitated rest squarely on Mason's shoulders...there were 3 defenders clearing converging on juju way before the pass was thrown...last week a ball went off juju hands and was intercepted... he hung juju to dry on that one too. We need a qb....and fast.

5 up
Fitzpatrick did it again
The defense carried us again. Turnover record
Jalen caught alot of passes, really stepped up. His versatility saved us
Both TEs and RBs and WRs caught horribly thrown passes that were consistently off target and behind them
Online made some holes and pass protected well.
5 down
Front office: we cannot continue with mason or duck.... I understand the love affair but we are killing our rbs, Defense, and oline... we need a viable solution at QB. This team has shown it could win now.
Mason throws a lot of floaters...there still much to work on..
Injury roundtables...carrying the load is taking its toll
How healthy will connor and Snell be..can we continue to count on them for running and majority of passing offense?
Feel bad for the wrs.
-
Cant run it because the defense is playing the run so well because they dont fear Mason... can't take advantage of that because they are right about mason... ultimately the coaching staffs failure is not play calling...but failing to find a suitable back up.

this game is ending with a Vinatieri GW kick
Smh you called it

Horrible read ..even more horrible was the throw.
-
Cant find a WR to save his life. Even if they are wide open... has no idea where he is at ...barley can make dink and dunk passes to TEs and RBs and even those are behind the target... he is looking like a poor man's Tim Couch. Smh

1. Coaching: 99.9% of coaching staffs would have a dead season on their hands. Losing the top 2 offensive players in perhaps the entire league then losing your hall of fame qb then losing your untested back up qb. Their are simply amazing.
2. Defense: nuff said.
3. Running backs: they are running and catching..they are everything.
4. Rookies and young players on Special teams: I like what I see out of some of them. They are making crucial plays ..still much improvement needed but I'm optimistic.
5. Online and Dline: Castro looked great..the o line and Dline remains as our strongest foundation.....Mt. McCullers filled in well.
Down.
1. The handling of Duck: he could develop into a good back up maybe even a higher pick. I didnt pay attention to the duck hype..I just took what I saw in preseason with a grain of salt..he is not ready.. he still wants to force balls into ridiculously tight coverage when he is passing.. he is a liability right now and we should have made smarter personnel moves when big Ben got hurt...people are falling in love with the person and not what they see on the field. None of this is his fault.
2. Injuries: the fact that our QB is not a factor and defense and running backs are forced to carry 100% of the load and win doing it is literally ripping our players a part.. it's bearing down..the spirit and morale is next to snap...
3. The reality of Mason: the fact that I'm looking forward to mason taking over as if he has proven anything is scary.. I'm literally falling for my on hype and it's a sign of the sad state we are in.
4. Missed tackles: bush and minkah especially have to do better on this..they are doing great and they are both young but that is something I noticed.
5. Passing game : we might not ever have one this year ....bad personell moves or lack there of.

Because getting rid of one diva for a potentially bigger one is just brilliant.
I don't mind players with big personalities, but Ramsey is a troublemaker, and that will never change. As good as he is, he will always be a headache.
We didn't get rid of a diva. We got rid of someone who clearly has sever social and/or behavioral disorders. We can't let him force us to think every disgruntled player is that.
Mock Draft
in Pittsburgh Steelers
Posted
Rashawn Slater OT, NW
Not sure how realistic this simulator is...not sure how realistic it is that he could fall to us...if anyone knows of a more realistic mock sim..let me know. Very versatile lineman.
Javonte Williams
RB, NC
Again... the only way this happens is if no running backs are taken in the 1st. Total on package.. playmaker RB that we desperately need.
Jordan Smith
EDGE, AB
Raw edge rush athlete meets team who specializes in developing edge rushers. Perfect match...back up/ competition for highsmith.
Malik Cunningham
QB, UL
Can we develop QBs as well. Malik might not be here ..as his stock may rise...or there maybe a run on qbs. Raw but the skill set is there....has a tendency to throw the team on his back....that's can be a good or bad thing.
Drake Jackson
IOL
My favorite pick of the draft. Versitale but more of a center..does a lot of things really well.
Luke Farrell
TE, OU
Vance replacement or competition.
Trey Dean III
CB,
Good size and production ... Depth
Damone Clark
LB, LSU
Depth
WR,FSU
6'4 wr prospect
