  1. Packers 2020 WR Corps

He's no Eddie Lacy. Lacy had incredible feet. Add that to his size and he was a freak. You see a picture of Lacy coming out? Remember the training camp picture that was just awful? Google it. Then take a peek at Dillon. They are kind of physical opposites. Rip on him about the no lateral ability stuff. I get it and I agree with it. Rip on him about being a poor receiver. I think you are wrong, as there is a difference between being bad at something and not having the opportunity to do something. But I get it. But please, stop with the Lacy stuff. This kid has a much better body, with much heavier feet. He's more Brandon Jacobs than Eddie Lacy.
  2. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

And....who else was in the Alex Smith draft class? Who was drafted to replace Smith? In the first round? Finally....who was the player comp for Jordan Love? (Not that I like that comp, just that it fits.)
  3. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

14-4. With a rookie head coach....with dreamy eyes.
  4. Packers 2020 WR Corps

You could have ended that statement 19 words sooner.
  5. 2020 Supplemental Draft

Just a question here.... If someone isn't truly eligible for the supplemental draft due to eligibility, can't they just hire an agent and be ineligible for collegiate games? Wouldn't that make them eligible for the supplemental draft? Just curious is this is a work around.....and I have no clue if it is.
  6. Post Your Hindsight Draft

In my PFF mock draft, I traded the entire draft for pick #2 and selected Chase Young. That would be my re-do. They say it's foolish to trade an entire draft for one player. I'm not so sure it is foolish given this draft. And I'm only kidding a little bit here.
  7. Thinking you gotta subtract the dead money from that season. We will eat that. The reality is, Rodgers may cost someone around $22.6 for 2022. And $25.5 for 2023. If the guy can show that he's still a top 1/3 QB with glimpses of Godgers, someone should take him. EDIT: See that AG#20 beat me to this.
  8. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

I like this. So don't think I don't. I too felt like the trade up was unnecessary, but it was just a 4'th round pick and it secured a guy that has the tools to succeed. And given how enormous the smiles were on Gute and MLF's faces, this was clearly a guy that was high on their board and wish list.
  9. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

I don't know, man. I've read your stuff for a long time and it almost always comes back to what Zeurlein thinks. Then when asked about Love, you went back to him again, only posting negatives, ignoring his grade and how it compared to the #6 overall pick. And you said that you watched one game. Then it bounced to three. I'm not spinning anything here. If you truly did watch 3 games, guess I feel like you would have said that initially. Or it could be that you are just so dead set against the pick you are doing anything you can to talk poorly about it. Which I get. I understand why some may hate the pick. I don't agree, but I do understand, because it is exactly how I felt about Rodgers. Honestly thought this time would be the same for me, but it isn't.
  10. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

He would be a Packer. All those tackles would be 8 yards downfield.
  11. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

No spinning, just watching you backpedal when challenged about what you think you know and what you read on the internet. So now we are up to three games from the one that you originally referenced.
  12. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

I would I were you, too. I said they aren't the end all be all, but they apply their grades uniformly.
  13. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

Yes, you said you watched Wake Forest. So, you busted yourself there. Again, citing other people... Which tape of 2018? Odd that you left out specifics. Remember, there's only so much out there concerning him, so when you do the research to respond to this post, make sure you reply with a tape that actually exists.....
  14. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

Tremaine Edmunds. PFF grade of 58.3. #51 on the ILB list for PFF. Rashaan Evans. 47.7 PFF grade. Good enough for #74 for PFF. Devin Bush. 62.9 PFF grade. Good enough for #36 for PFF. For context, Blake Martinez got a 57.9 score and a rank of #53. I know PFF isn't the end all be all, but their scoring is consistent. EDIT: @Outpost31 beat me to this.
  15. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

One game? And you cite nothing but dudes on keyboards instead of going out on limb based off of what you saw and think you know? Man....you gotta do better than that. I'd love to see your post about Love. Watch 2018 Love as well as 2019. Watch every game you can. Take notes. Post them. Go into it as much as you can without bias. Because right now...you simply parrot what others say. And what I find amazing is that you cite Zeurlein. https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/QB?college=allColleges&page=1&status=ALL&year=2020 And in his work, the kid is a starter in a year or two. Just a lick below Herbert, who went at what, #6??? And from reading Zeurlein...it sounds like he didn't watch much in 2018 and focused his negatives on 2019.
  16. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

I've noticed this about you....do you watch film, or just take what some guy on a website writes as gospel? Because your posts all go back to some dude writing on some website. And you seem to take everything they say as an ultimate fact. Put on some film and enlighten me/us. I think if you do, you will see some positives to Love's game. And the things that aren't so good, can be coached. Clearly he's not a game ready prospect right now, but he's got the perfect situation to come into. He can sit down and learn without being thrown to the wolves. Even Rodgers needed that.
  17. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

Confused the heck out of me, too!
  18. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

Wanna explain this one to me? The bolded one? I don't even care about the first one. I disagree about trading up for an off ball linebacker. Said I'd give you Queen because it wasn't a large trade up. I can't even remember who the Titans traded up for. Thinking Bush for Steelers, who weren't in the playoffs, though injuries rocked that team. Bills? I don't think they traded up for that kid, did they? And what was his PFF score again? I can't recall, and can't remember my password to get in there. But I don't think it was anything special.
  19. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

    Ha! Nope. Pretty solid bourbon.
  20. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

I agree on #1. Only difference is that Rodgers has clearly regressed. Pretty much every season for the last three. This isn't about playing into his 40's, it's about playing well into his 40's and his recent trend does not support the notion that he will. Agree on #2, but I don't think like he's that far off. Alex Smith was his competition for that pick. Burrow would have been taken ahead of Smith. Maybe even Tua. So, it is what it is. Love does have talent. #3. Meh. Maybe Queen would have helped. I can give you that one, but now you are trading up for an off ball linebacker. I don't know, it's a tough sell to me. And I don't get the scared route concept.
  21. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

Is it weird that I kind of hate myself for not going nuclear and hating this pick? And is it worse that I'm really starting to like this pick more and more? I've honestly never felt this way about a first round pick. I know I should hate the pick. But I can't. And now I'm growing to really, really like this pick. Man, it's just a weird time to be a Packer fan. Thinking a little more Angel's Envy tonight will clear out the head....

    That's TO's face.
  23. 1.26 - Jordan Love [QB; Utah State]

And let's not forget this...we've got Rodgers under contract for a long time. Even with his decline, we are going to win games and that will put us out of reach of other potential franchise QB's. And with that contract? We can get out of it next year with very minimal cap savings, but still, savings. 4-5M. The year after? We can trade, get some good value for Aaron and have draft picks to groom while Love ascends. It's unlike Favre in that contract and his retirement talks. Rodgers is going to have some value in two years. And we can capitalize on that.

Yes. Hard not to like the athlete. Really like the upside with him.
  25. 2020 Day 2 NFL Draft Thread (NO SPOILERS!)

Liking Shenault with our pick in the second. Mims will be gone. And we shouldn't be trading up any more. Let's get our WR. Can still find a good OT a little later and an ILB. Maybe even a corner. WR needs to be the focus now. Of the guys that are left....Mims, Shenault, Higgins, Claypool, Pittman. And I like that order, and I'd be pretty darned happy with any of them. Going OT in the second? Third round may have a nice WR crop as well with Hamler, Edwards, DPJ, Johnson. There are Wr's to be had yet.
