  1. As happy as i would be to trade for Hendrickson as a falcon fan i know our coward of a GM won't do it and has failed at it already for 4 years.

Maybe something like 8 for 18 + Hendrickson.  That puts trey = to a 2nd round value.   Then at 18 Falcons take 1 of  Latu, Turner, or Verse whoever falls there to us.   Fix this fricken passrush once and for all.    Will never happen though as said i don't trust our GM at all to get a edge rusher and i feel we will pass on one completely in round 1 this year for a WR, CB, or DT which would be ignorant.

  2. Yeah not feeling the Murphy pick i just don't see 3-4 edge / 4-3 DT as a need at all.  Thats already our strongest position on the entire defense.  we have Grady Jarrett, David Onyemata, Zach Harrison, Ta'quan Graham, and possibly Callias Campbell if he accepts the contract offer fontenot said he has available already.

The #8 pick to me 100% has to be a guy who is going to see the bulk of the snaps the whole season and Murphy is not going to behind that group of guys.   I'll also say if i was taking a 3-4 edge in the 1st it would be Newton before Murphy because Newton when i watch him way more often beats his guy and has open space to the QB.  Where as Murphy much more so has to fight through his guy and rarely wins clean with open space.   Not to say Murphy is losing his battle he usually doesn't but it's always a fight with him taking longer than others to end up winning.

Thats the key phrase! Nothing I've seen thus far suggest 1: Wilson is that QB. 2: Sean is going to remotely be patient enough to find out.

Sounds like another wasted year post Manning trying to patchwork at QB, sorry!

Which im more than fine with considering i severely dislike both people sean and wilson.  I hope they hate each other and it blows up for everyone to laugh at :D

It would be kind of a cool story line. I'm not a big fan of Zach Wilson though. He's really unlikable to me.

Oh im with you on this one i actually can't stand either one of the dudes which probably means they get together and craps on everyone for the next 10 years and rubs it in with their miserable selves XD

  5. Really good pick for the Falcons you can't be mad at that come draft day.   I really hope 1 of 2 trades happen come draft day for us though in either the Colts trade 15 and 2nd to us for 8  or Rams trade 19, 2nd, and a  2nd or 3rd next year to us to come to 8.  Both teams ofcourse coming up for Nabers or Odunze.  Then us taking any of the 3 edge rushers who fall to 15 or 19 which im is very sure to happen.

  6. I think me, scar, and shadow who usually don't agree on things actually think the same way on this one.  All 3 of us like Verse better as a player but also think Verse is gonna be much less effective in our scheme we run.  Coach Rah runs a 3-4 scheme not a 4-3 like we did last year and also drops his edge rushers in coverage more than any coach in the nfl.  He dropped his edges in coverage like 10% more than the next team last year for the Rams.   Verse would be struggling big time to do this where as Turner and Latu are quite good at doing it and fit our 3-4 much better.    As said im a FSU fan and i love my boy Verse as a player and if we were still under Nielsen in a 4-3 like last year Verse would be my 1st choice in this draft.   But also being a FSU fan and watching him more than any other player in this draft i know his limitations the most.

My personal favorite player -  Verse Latu Turner

Best scheme fit -    Turner latu  verse

Most ready player - latu  verse  turner

Most upside - turner latu verse (latu and verse about same here to me) but i like latus size and coverage ability more to put him ahead slightly.

most chance to bust -   turner  latu  verse

Who i think we should go of the 3 if there - latu   turner   verse  in that order when all things considered.

  7. Bowser you have done it my friend you have given the Falcons the best 1st round possible and i pray you end up being Fontenot in real life and have this trade and pick in place already :D  A++++++++++++++++++++++++  my favorite defensive player in the draft and my favorite pick for us in the draft along with another 2nd rounder + a 3rd next year.  MAGNIFICENT

  8. Good pick for the Falcons you could have went with any of the 3 top edge rushers and i would have been happy lol.  My personal preference in order would be Latu, Turner, Verse.  But all 3 of them are more than acceptable depending on who the coaches want.

Funny part is where you said he had a down year if thats true thats super scary because the man still had double digit sacks  and dropped in coverage 250+ times last year which is like 175 more times than Latu and 200+ more than Verse.    If Turner on a down year can have around 200 less pass rush attempts and get the same amount of production as them almost.   Thats absolutely terrifying what you expect him to be at the next level XD

  9. Im not crying  you're crying 😭 That man went from one of my 3 most hated draft picks of all time for the falcons to possibly the greatest player that ever played for my team.  He changed how most people thought about the falcons as almost guaranteed losers every year to legit contenders that had a chance anytime him and julio was out there.   Top 7 all time in the nfl in passing yards with a mvp to his name and would have had a SB to his name if not for shanny screwing the entire team over in the 4th quarter which he somehow continues to do to the 49ers to this day O.o    I personally think he for sure deserves to be a HOF player and hope he gets in there one day.  Where as he might not have been my favorite player of all time he is my most respected player of all time that i appreciate how he changed what the Falcons are as a team.

Now lets go get him as some kind of coach for the Falcons preferably QB coach to teach the young guy we get in the next few years :D

hey now, he made a very nice trade with the Vikings in that mock.

We saw this and took this into consideration and as always we appreciate him for the effort and work he put into this.  But at this time we feel the organization needs a new outlook on things with the correct mindset on how the ship needs to be ran.   He almost saved himself when trading back up into the 1st round if he could have made it back up like 4 or 5 more spots to get Latu or Turner at 16 or 19.  To add on to Mitchell it could have saved his job.  But he didn't and we had to give him his walking papers.

Honestly, as long as the Falcons end up with one of the three between Turner, Verse and Latu, I won't be that upset. I just think based on schematic fit, it's probably:

    Turner

    Then Latu

    Then Verse

How upset would you be if we pass on edge in the 1st for either  nabers, odunze, mitchell, or arnold.

  12. Atlanta Falcons

    8:  ED - Dallas Turner - ALABAMA
    43:  CB - T.J. Tampa - IOWA STATE
    74:  ED - Jonah Elliss - UTAH
    79:  WR  - Jermaine Burton - ALABAMA
    109:  CB - Caelen Carson - WAKE
    143:  iOL - Tanor Bortolini - WISCONSIN
    187:  RB  - Cody Schrader - MISSOURI
    197:  TE  - AJ Barner - MICHIGAN

Some good some bad for the Falcons 2 of hte players in there i really like for the Falcons in Turner and Ellis.    A few of the positions in there i really like for the Falcons in Edge, WR, and 1 CB.

But in general outside of 2 players which are the 2 edges im not a fan of this draft.   I don't like either of the CB's you gave us in the rounds we got them.  Im not a fan of Burton at WR compared to like 15 other WR's in this draft lol.   Also you completely forgot 2 of our most major needs in the draft and by double dipping didn't pick a player for them at all in  SS and Nose Tackle.      It was a really good effort and i appreciate the 7 round mock but not great for the Falcons overall i would say C+ to B- ?     I'll show you how i would have went at each pick with who was available and our needs.

1st -  Dallas turner or Latu  - Edge

    2nd - Xavier Legette - WR

3a -  Max Melton - CB -  I would take him over  Tampa straight up at any pick so in the 3rd is awesome.

    3b - T'vondre Sweat - NT

    4th - Kamren Kinchens - SS

    5th - Leonard Taylor III - 3-4 Edge / DT

    6a - Javon Solomon - Edge

    6b - Joe Milton - QB

I'm not usually the "everything new sucks!" kind of person

But I genuinely hate this. This seems like some generic Madden create a team with awful cringey colors.

lol thats harsh i say they make the awesome dog with the chain the new logo instead XD

If we trade 12, next year’s 1st and and Surtain for JJ McCarthy I’d be pretty mad. Payton would have to think he’s a HOF level talent to justify that kind of haul.

My friend you don't even gotta do that if a good QB falls to 8 i got a nice shiny #8 pick + the #43 in round 2 for you for 12 and Surtain  :D

Can't complain about Byron Murphy, although Newton would be an acceptable consolation prize if Murphy is off the board by then.

I don't see Nix and Penix being taken in the 1st round. Then again, none of us saw the Giants using a first round pick on a third-tier receiver, so...

LOLOLOLOL i forgot about that video thank you for posting it.   My favorite thing to reply to that dude when he asks im sitting here with 3 plungers to my head how worse can it get.  I always say and yet somehow you still don't look as dumb as the Giants FO did when they made that pick.    But to be fair my team the Falcons did the same thing when we took Jamaal Anderson at edge at 8.   I hated him more than any prospect in history and said i wouldn't take him til the 6th round in so many mocks on this board when ppl kept given him to us.  I argued with so many ppl and even got warned a few times when i was so mad when ppl would give him to us.   Then those sorry old falcons did me in and took him anyways and made me look like a fool on here when i told ppl we would never take that bum.   So i feel his pain :D

That's the issue imo, it depends what style of 3-4 they're going to go with.

If it's similar to what they ran at the Rams it would for sure be Turner over Verse probably.   Rah and lakes drpped their 3-4 olb edges in coverage more than any other team in the nfl last year.  This is something Verse is not built for but Turner on the other hand did it over 250+ times  where as Verse and Latu were at 30 and 70.     I'l give Turner credit where credit is do actually   for him to drop in coverage almost 5 times as much as those 2 and still put up double digit sacks in the sec last year is quite fricken impressive.   If you take his 20%+ pressure clip last year and avg out the sacks from it thats like another 5 sacks on the season instead of being in coverage.  That puts him at around 15 sacks on the season which is more than latu and Verse last year.

This is coming from someone who has been going against Turner all offseason compared to other 2 but after paying more attention to our scheme rah ran with the rams and finding out about turner in coverage so much i have came all the way back around on him as a more than respectable choice at 10.   Honestly at this point i sorta expect him to be the pick based on the scheme fit now.

Also if the Cards don't pull the trigger on that deal come draft day and one of the Qb's fall to us at 8  you 100% better believe im offering 8 and 43 for Surtain and 12 lol.   might even throw in a 3rd next year if need be.

  17. I like the majority of the Falcons picks the only one i really don't agree with is Fiske.  I have seen that pick numerous amount of times now across other mocks.  It really doesn't make sense to me all that much as Fiske would be put as a 3-4 edge here and thats easily our strongest position on the entire team.  He would be stuck behind Grady Jarrett, David Onyemata, Zach Harrison, Ta'quan Graham and possibly even Callias Campbell.   Seen a good bit of drafts give us Johnny Newton at 8 as well for 3-4 edge for some reason.   Those picks just really confuse me with the way our team is setup.

I think people are misunderstand the type of DT we really need on the team and it's a 3-4 NT to plug the middle.   Coach rah and the rams defense uses one of them in Gaines and Brown over the last 5 years or so.    We brought back Eddie Goldman unretired for the 3rd time to be this but i for sure can't trust that dude not to retire as soon as training camp starts again.

Also im a FSU fan thats my team so it's not like i don't like Fiske i just don't see him as a good pick because he's going to sit behind multiple pro bowl quality players for a few years and get limited run.      Someone like Sweat at NT later would be a much better choice for what this team needs at DT honestly.

Let me see who's available at each pick now and see how my draft would turn out with who you have available.

1st -  Latu, Turner, Verse - im fine with all 3   But the 1st 2 probably fits better in our 3-4.

2nd - Tyler Nubin - SS - imo 2nd biggest need on the team now  richie grant has been bad and needs to be replaced.

3a - Corley - WR - no problem here we need 1 more good WR.  Almost went Leggette in round 2 and Penix as well.

3b - Phillips - CB - Again no issues i like Phillips and think CB in round 3 is the perfect spot for us to target it.  I like alot of the round 3 CB's more than round 2 CB's this year.

4th - T'vondre Sweat - NT - As said earlier we need a true run stuffing NT to put in the middle of  Grady and Onyemata at 3-4 Edge.

5th - Wilson - WR or Solomon - Edge   Not the biggest Pratt guy i would more likely target Jordan Travis in the 5th before him or grab travis in round 6.

Our front 7 then would be

                          Grady      Sweat     Onyemata
        Turner/latu        Ellis          Landman             Ebeketie

Maybe  ppl think Onyemata can hold up at NT but i don't think coach rah has used a guy under 320+ at NT for the rams so far.

I don't understand why you think Latu is worth the No. 8 overall pick with the injury history.

Thats easy because it was only Washington and their doctors that wouldn't clear him.  Where as UCLA and other schools and doctors cleared him.   The same DR's who cleared Peyton Manning and Danielle Hunter both who had the neck surgerys as well. The same dude who we all were ready to give 25 mil a year to this offseason.  Is the same DR's who cleared him to be 100% ready to go and he has had no issues the last 2 years since those same dr's cleared him.     I trust  DR. Robert Watkins quite a bit from what he has done for many of high level players over the years. He to me is the elite of this fields of work at the nfl level.  So if he says he is medically cleared and latu has proven it 2 years since then and i had no issue giving 25 mil a year to hunter when he had the same issue.  Then i would be a massive hypocrite plus the Rams medical team has also worked him out and already cleared him as well this offseason according to all the reports.

I legit almost have a much bigger problem with Washingtons medical staff in college at this point after multiple more high end and knowledgeable people have cleared him.    Now something i will agree with is that Lake being from that washnigton team if he trusts his former dr's still over the Falcons doctors rams doctors. or DR. Watkins or the ucla dr's.   Then he might red mark him from the get go and he won't be on our list at all.  But if Lakes has since listened to other knowledgeable people and they have cleared him fully which has been the case for latu.   Then Lake very much might want and love another shot at one of his better recruits that he cared a lot for.

Now if i hear multiple nfl teams didn't medically clear him then i would look into it more but that hasn't happened yet and actually the other thing has happened where quite a few team reports have come out that they did clear him.

Now with that all said i will give Turner his credit where it's due he dropped more in coverage by almost 5 fold against the tough SEC against any of the other top 5 edge guys.   While still putting up similar sack numbers to them and that to me says alot.   If you give Turner 200+ more pass rush snaps instead of coverage drops.  If his win rate is near 20% or better that's probably another 5 sacks or so.   15 sacks is tremendous production and he deserves the credit for being able to do both at a high level.    I'll even admit i wasn't aware he dropped in coverage that many more times than everyone else without watching every snap of every game.    This new info has shedded new light for me on him and i probably put him dead even with  latu and verse now.    He is still rawer than both of those guys but he is also 3 years younger to gain more experience than those 2.    So thats understandable as well and i'll be ok with no more complaints if we get him over latu or verse in any mock draft.    This is also with my knowledge of Rah and the rams style of defense and i know they drop their edges in coverage a TONNN and rush from other places to get home at times.  So that again makes Turner a top tier fit for the scheme as well right there with Latu.  As much as i love Verse as a player i probably think he is a worse fit scheme wise than the other 2 but i would still love having him as a Falcon if thats who they choose of the 3 as a FSU fan and because i know hes a DOG out there on the field.

I always update my rankings of players and move them around when i find out new information and things that could chance my mindset or thought process on a player.
