  1. 40 yard dash vs "football speed"

Des King was deemed slow because of his 40 time. Usually not "slow" when you are an All Pro Return man. ( I know he had a bad game yesterday) Dissect the tape, pay more attention to the agility tests, trust the schools the player comes from.

TE TJ Hockenson declared. Good TE group
  3. 2019 NFL Draft - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

He'll measure out close to the roster listing. He looks think but it's a pretty big frame I'm not certain he's declaring at this point
  4. 2019 NFL Draft - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

A good comparison for Hock is Jason Witten imo
  5. 2019 NFL Draft - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

Well the first "quote" is a scouts opinion and the 2nd one wasn't trash talk. Kittle was an average TE at Iowa. We knew he had some crazy athleticism but his production didn't match what he was capable of. He did have some nagging injuries and was a good player for Iowa. I don't Iowa dogged him though. He still has a real good relationship with them from what I'm told. As for the "crush his character opinion" I believe it to some extent. Iowa is very meat and potatoes. They have rules against players being on Twitter and Instagram while on the team. Kittle is an eccentric guy and Iowa had been burned by a few earlier. I think Pat Angerer was on the Pat McAfee show last year and actually had a talk with Kittle when he was Iowa to focus and make the best of his opportunities. Seems like he did just that.

Can I ask what you actually heard the scout say about Kittle?
  7. 2019 NFL Draft - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

Got a lot of good value in Sternberger, Smith(AL), Okwuegbunam,Wilson,Smith(Stanford), Mack, etc. I can speak for the Hawkeyes Fant- Athlete. He should jump off the page at combine. Will run fast, do well in drills, have a ridiculous vertical. Limited in who can select him though. He plays more like a TE/WR hybrid. Not greatest blocker. Depends who grabs him. If you expect him to be an inline TE, not for you. If you run him out wide and goes to a team that utilizes their TEs in the pass offense, sky's the limit. Hockenson- Has not officially declared but I'd be shocked if we don't hear by Friday he is declaring. Swiss Army Knife TE and quite good at near everything. Elite blocker, Good route runner. Won't stand out like Fant- will at combine but will put out better than expected in terms of 40 and vertical. Deceptively athletic. Good team guy. Absolute room ready plug in and play guy. Big fan of him. I've seen comparisons of Witten. Iowa develops TEs and he's one of the better ones to leave IA

No official announcement yet but he has supposedly been training wilth Darius Slayton in FL since Outback Bowl. I think the writing is on the wall he's gonna declare
  9. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

By no means a refined WR but has a Athletic ceiling that has not been close to tapped and productive. I have no reason to promote a Cyclone. Dude is good though

ISU WR Hakeem Butler declared as expected. This guy is a freak. Will make some team very happy
  11. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

Agreed. I see 3rd round myself as well. He does the small things very well. Pair him with a dominant edge rusher and he'll be productive
  12. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

RS Jr Iowa DE Anthony Nelson declares for NFL Draft. Only one still waiting on is TJ Hockenson but damn, early declarations this year are decimating our chances next year lol
  13. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

David Montgomery RB Iowa State declared as expected. He's gonna be good in the league
  14. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

Agreed awesome player for Iowa. Late 2nd-Early 3rd round talent(in 2020) that will be great investment for a 4th-5th round pick. Surprised he jumped to be honest. Crazy good value for middle rounds. Excelled at Safety and also Star position(hybrid LB/DB) in Iowas defense.
  15. 2019 NFL Draft Early Declaration Thread

Iowa CB/Safety Amani Hooker declares for draft. Think he should come back for any other year to improve draft.position but will be a steal for someone in the middle rounds
