  1. 2021 Prospects and beyond

Tyler Linderbaum OC for Iowa will be a RS Sophmore next year. Will be able to declare after next year. Next year will be his 2nd year playing Center. He's super good. You'll pickup on it if you watch Wirfs tape in the next couple months
  2. Official 2020 OT/IOL Thread

Wirfs played RT because Alaric Jackson struggled playing RT. Jackson didn't start playing football until late his HS career. There should be no concern about Wirfs ability to play LT.
  3. Official 2020 CB/S Thread

Geno Stone S out of Iowa declared early. Probably should have came back but nice developmental Safety in the later rounds

  5. Official 2020 QB Thread

Be weary of the fools gold. I like Nate, he's a good dude, and he did win some ball games. Has all the intangibles scouts drool over but super inconsistent and is terrible if pressured. He's a nice value pick in the later mid rounds for his upside but there are about 4-5 franchises that might be able mold him into a decent NFL starter and I'm not certain it would happen
  6. 2021 Prospects and beyond

https://mobile.twitter.com/thorku/status/1134502663423496192 Spring Practice 1 on 1 work with Tristan Wirfs Iowa OL and Chauncey Golston Iowa DE Golston is no slouch and capable of a 8-10 sack season this year
  7. If Iowa could learn to recruit QBs and WRs they'd have quite a few more years like 2015 and 2009 then the 8-4 type seasons. They've done a better job at it but still not where they need to be. RBs Iowa has just had rotten luck. Both Melvin Gordon and Eno Benjamin were once committed to Iowa. Shonn Greene was here, and Iowa was the favorite to get Mark Ingram before Alabama got involved late. They've had 4 stars that didn't pan out or got themselves in trouble.
  8. We'll see on best DE. I've seen both listed as potential top 10 picks. To be fair, Chase has been ahead on mock projections but Epenesa outproduced Young on far less snaps last year. He's bigger and stronger. I have no problem leading the Epenesa bandwagon. 6'5 275 and able to block punts as a edge rusher. Has the ability to be a Jared Allen type talent. Jackson can't play RT. Wirfs would play LT but Jackson isn't consistent at RT. I actually really like Jackson at LT. He has very good lateral quickness and can recognize and adjust to different rushers in pass protection. Jackson has high ceiling though. Only been playing consistent football since his JR year of HS. Wirfs is special. Wouldn't shock me to see him go in top 12. That's how highly thought of he is on campus. He came into Iowa as a freshman at 6'5 317.
  9. If they meet the projected development and avoid setbacks(injuries), Iowa will have 3 guys go in top 50 DE AJ Epenesa- Possibly best DE in next year's draft LT Alaric Jackson- all around great prospect. Size, and capable at both run and pass protection. Quick feet and good hands RT Tristan Wirfs- Y'all will salivate over this kid. Highest ceiling I've seen at Iowa for a Offensive line prospect. Said to be strongest G/T they've ever had. Superb in pass protection. Needs improvement on run protection but Spring practice reports are that the light bulb has turned on here and he's going to dominate. You heard it here first. Potential to be best Oline prospect out of Iowa under Ferentz
  10. 2020 Draft

https://mobile.twitter.com/HawkeyeFootball/status/1105511808662671361 Watch out for Iowa OT/OG Tristan Wirfs to declare early after next season. Would be a true Junior Didn't give up a sack last season. Started at Right Tackle as a true freshmen. First time ever. Next big time OL out of Iowa. Could be a good RT but probably an elite Guard 6'5 320 lbs
  11. 2019 Draft - Edge Rushers

https://mobile.twitter.com/misterEbird/status/1102928655209164801 Don't agree with the Bend comment, but people are sleepwalking on Nelson. Looked very fluid in movement in drills, very refined hand technique, and very good production over 3 years
  12. 2019 NFL Combine

    Yeah Amani. Get Paid!
  13. 2019 NFL Combine

Great time for him. I think a lot of people expected a 4.67 type time
  14. 2019 NFL Combine

I'd also watch his release off the block. He didn't get a great jump on either attempt and looked a bit awkward. I wouldn't be surprised if at Iowa Pro Day, he skims a little time off that
  15. 2019 NFL Combine

When do WRs/TEs do the Bench Press?
  16. 2019 NFL Draft - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

Morgan is absolutely getting slept on.
  17. Highest-potential prospect?

I don't know how it can't be DK Metcalf
  18. 2020 Draft

Too small and developed fumblitis in the preseason. I believe he went CFL
  19. 2019 NFL Combine

He looks slight a bit because dude has a huge frame and lanky. Holds alot of weight in his arms and legs. Massive biceps which explains why he's so strong running routes out of inline and being able to use his hands to get free. I did read somewhere where people believe he could get up to 265-270 from 250 and still retain his current athleticism.
  20. 2019 NFL Combine

TJ Hockenson will test really well with Vertical, Broad Jump, and agility drills. Faster than expected 40 too. He gets unfairly judged to Fants athletic rep
  21. 2020 Draft

Haha. Let's be clear on something. My posting in this was by no means a comparison. Wisconsin produces productive backs like it's nobodies business. Iowa has had some absurd bad luck in the RB game. Both Melvin Gordon and Eno Benjamin were once committed to Iowa. They were the favorite with Mark Ingram before Bama swooped in late Iowa shared the 2004 Big Ten title with a 6th string RB. Shonn Greene was a furniture salesman not on the team the year before he won the Doak Walker haha. It's really frustrating Iowa struggles with having NFL quality RBs and WRs. It's the difference. Alot of good college bacs but not many for the NFL. Tavian Banks would have been amazing in the NFL if not for that horrific knee injury
  22. 2020 Draft

Why is that an odd comment to make? Everyone holds but Wisconsin has made a career out of it. It's a running joke across the conference. Your TEs hold every time you run outside with a pulling guard. The Badgers are masters at getting away with it. I wish Iowa caught on and could implement it. The two teams run completely different blocking schemes.
  23. 2020 Draft

He's a good RB no doubt. My concern is how I don't remember a RB in your scheme that wasn't been productive. Taylor is no where near as good as Gordon was. Taylor skill set imo is good vision, strength, and a good top end speed but I don't see the lateral movement, or the cutbacks, and he has some massive runs but they are there because he has a massive hole. He won't have that in the league. As good as he is at recognizing holes and accelerating. How strong he is when he hits that next gear, he is missing some of the most important traits in today's NFL. Quickness, lateral movement, Receiving skills Wisconsin gets away with holds nearly every play like MSU gets away with physical play in Basketball in the big ten.
  24. 2020 Draft

I like Taylor alot but Saquan Barkley is a rare talent. I just can't agree with better ball carrier. PSU still to this day have struggled with Oline depth since the Sanctions. It will be interesting to see Taylor this next season. I have no doubt Wisky will be able to reload at Oline but the losses on the line will really tell how special Taylor is.
  25. 2019 NFL Draft - Running Backs

He's getting surprisingly little fanfare so far. Dude was best ISU back since Troy Davis. I think people get scared away by his numbers. ISU had a really bad Oline
