Wow awesome move. I feel like this is especially to match up with the Chiefs, so we don't have to blitz as much to generate pass rush.

But I'm noticing a lot of Judon hate. According to an ESPN stat that Judon is 5th among DE/OLBs in pass rush win rate, right in between Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa.

How do we reconcile how much people dislike him on this board with how good he is performing based on that stat?

Like most things, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I'm reading this article right now about Lamar and the passing game and here's some interesting tidbits. He went from best in the NFL in empty last year to worst in the NFL this year. Removing those splits and his numbers this year look identical to last year:

And it looks like teams are blitzing him heavily on these plays, and Lamar is making bad reads consistently. There are two specific videos cited in the article, both where MAndrews is open on quick reads, but Lamar either panics and takes a sack (KC) or throws an INT on a bad read (CIN).

This is a good article and matches with most of the things I've noticed.

Anytime we can't establish ourselves vertically/deep early, it's probably going to be a longer day on offense.

Really seems like we keep giving defenses free passes against us. What would Andry Reid or Kyle Shanahan do with Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown, and Devin Duvernay? Yet Roman is focused on scripting rollouts with Boyle and Boykin as the primary reads.

I die every time Lamar fakes the hand off with his back to the weak side, then rolls out to Ricard or Boyle in the flat with a free guy running at him.
