  1. For me it's not even about that. Every season since 2016 for us has been over by mid october. Nothing to look forward too, not even competitive. How many seasons do we have to see like this to just give up hope. Changes need to be made starting at the top and until that happens I won't be optimistic.

  4. Pittman was taken before our pick. I'm a Notre Dame fan and love Claypool, but I think he's an Engram clone.
  5. No, I don't think it can be schemed. I think we need more talent there. I was just wondering what you would have done differently. What I do think is that it is possible after this year, if the offensive line takes strides, that we would be a good pass rusher away from competing again so that's what I like from this past draft.
  6. I agree, but they really liked McKinney and it wouldn't have helped the pass rush.
  7. I get that you're unhappy about addressing the pass rush, but with a team with this many holes, we can't fix all of them in one offseason. What would you have done differently?
  8. This pick is all about 2021. Solder's dead money goes down after this year by a ton. As long as Peart can be a servicable RT in two years, we can cut Solder and use those finances somewhere else (pass rusher?) then this pick is worth it.
  9. A lot of talent fell.....Either way we should get someone that can really help this team
  10. If we'er picking in top 5 next year maybe we can get our impact player on defense then. I'm interested in everyone's opinion. Do you think that we picked Thomas because he was the safest pick and our lack of developing offensive linemen?
  11. Which would be what? Any OT?
  12. I think both of you are going to be disappointed Thursday night.
  13. I think there's a real chance that we don't see a trade in the top 5 and that the lions take brown at 3. I'm hoping that's the case.
  14. No, I wasn't clear. Sorry. I think the Lions think they can trade down and still get brown. If he is our target, they can't. So in theory, if our "smokescreen" with Herbert works and the Lions trade down, then Brown will be there at 4 for us.
  15. This actually scares me quite a bit. No, I don't think that the Giants are seriously considering taking Herbert, but it seems like they're trying to entice a team to trade up to get him. Brown tot he Lions has been really picking up steam lately. I really hope this isn't a smoke screen to get the Dolphins to trade up to take Herbert so we can take Brown. He's a fine player, but we have so many other needs it'd be very disappointing. I also saw this is something Bellichek used to do to get a free scouting report on top QB's for when the play them.
  16. Just dont see it happening for this reason. Obviously they cant part with a 1st rounder for Engram. And I doubt we would take only 2021 draft capital. I don't see it happening
  17. I agree and disagree. If I were GM of the giants I would take Simmons. He's an elite athlete and is extremely versatile. However, to take advantage of Simmons, you need a coaching staff willing to do so as he literally doesn't have a position. The position he played most last year in Clemson's defense was slot corner. Clearly, none of us know if we have a coaching staff that's capable of using his versatility because its a brand new staff. On the other hand, with taking a tackle. Yes we can wait until the second round to take a tackle, but the reality is that Nate Solder is going to be gone next year most likely and if the second round tackle either a) doesn't pan out or b) isn't ready to step over to play left tackle, we're just looking and being in the same position we are in right now, potentially worse. Also, Ezra Cleveland and Josh Jones aren't going to be there for our second round pick so we'd have to give up more assets to move up and get them.
  18. After looking at a lot of the betting odds I feel like the pick is going to be Jedrick Wills
  19. That was my hardest decision. I think it's likely that the Dolphins will get a QB in the first round, but I just didn't see a fit with how my mock fell. Obviously they could've taken Tua at 5 in this scenario, but I just think he's going to fall more than people realize. I think the public is thinking about his hip and saying its not a big deal, but the truth is that he's had a pretty extensive injury history before this injury so I do think he'll fall further than what is being projected.
  20. I think the Falcons are going to trade up into that 10-12 range and the Jets make sense as a partner. If its not Henderson, I can see them trading up for Kinlaw. I personally had them trading up to get ahead of the 49ers because I think Henderson is a real target for them.
  21. Sorry hit post too early, full first round posted now

  23. The highest pick he was offered for Collins was a 4th round pick. They got a 3rd round comp pick for him so holding on to him turned out to be the right move.
