  1. FA 2020

Please God No!!! The guy can't use accurate grammar let alone throw an accurate pass.
  2. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

I literally LOL-ed on this one. FYI, I don't like either QB. Carr Is the lesser of 2 evils IMO.
  3. 2020 NFL Draft Thread

The Flash was too fast on this one. LOL
  4. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

Ugh.... I like my thoughts better.... So basically, it's "Win the job or you are out!".
  5. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

I see where you are going but I can't get behind this. The Raiders have a chance to make the playoffs with Carr. The roster (barring injury) will be much improved. The only way Carr loses the job is if he starts playing badly enough to lose a few games in a row. MM would have to be put in to, hopefully, keep us in playoff contention. And you all know how I feel about Hurts. 5th round and lower please.
  6. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think MM gets the escalator if he doesn't win the starting job for 2021. His cap hit would be just $10M. A little pricey for a backup, but other teams have done worse.
  7. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

Interesting logic. I gave you a like for that. But I wasn't saying that Mayock wanted MM to be the starter this season. I was referring to 2021. Carr would have to be cut/traded if MM beat him out by week 1. I don't see any way that MM beats Carr before the 2020 season starts. Carr would have to lose the job during the season. Then, MM could take over by midseason. Again pseudo redshirt year. MM would have the job for 2021.
  8. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

You guys are not wrong. Looking at those numbers, it seems like the FO wants MM to take the job (if he wants it bad enough). Gruden runs a complex system though, so I see this as a pseudo redshirt year. MM can learn the offense under Carr and possibly start the last few games to see what he has. If he looks good, then the job will be his next year and Carr is shipped out (can't have two $20M QB on the roster). Don't know if MM is the right choice at QB but I trust Mayock.
  9. Draft Capital (I'm OCDing)

I like the bolded option, but I doubt it will happen. It would have to be a team that fell in love with one of the top 2. Not sure who that is. Maybe Eagles.
  10. Draft Capital (I'm OCDing)

All I was saying was that I wouldn't mind the extra draft capital from a trade down. The most likely scenario is stick with #12 and pick BPA at position of need. Which in this case is a WR. I really like Lamb, so I want him at #12. And guess what??? He just happens to be the best fit for our QB. Since we don't know what Mayock is going to do, it becomes possible that Mayock could trade down even from #12.... And I would be ok with that. Especially for the extra draft picks.
  11. Draft Capital (I'm OCDing)

I hope someone trades up with us to get a player. I would even trade #12 if the price was right.
  12. Raiders sign QB Marcus Mariota (2 years, $17.6 M)

While I like this video, my concern is MM losing his confidence. He and Carr are too similar. They had a "magic" to them and lost it after injury.
  13. Gruden is like an impulsive shopper. He buys everything that excites him. I'm glad we have a GM that will talk him out of things occasionally. Mayock needs to do it more often though.
  14. My bad. I thought Ingold played more snaps than that.
  15. Yeah the $4M would have been better used elsewhere. I suspect Gruden has a man crush on Witten.
