  1. Who is the single best player in the 2020 draft?

Can we PLEASE not turn this into another Joe Burrow debate, or is that what VanS was hoping for?
  2. Consensus Mock Draft II - Post Combine - Pick 5 - Dolphins

Okay so this one is Tua, lets get on to #6.
  3. Consensus Mock Draft II - Post Combine - Pick 3 - Lions

    1. Simmons 2. Okudah 3. Wirfs Simmons over Okudah because he can have a bigger impact and set the tone for an entire defense.
  4. Chris Jones - Free Agent

Yes in terms of compensation. I think Jones will ask for about $23-25M a year.
  5. Chris Jones - Free Agent

The Colts overpaid for Buckner, we can't expect for another team to do the same for Jones.
  6. Offseason Thread

I don't think being academically gifted and having an interest in the medical field is a big red flag. If it would have been that he just doesn't take football serious and likes to party, I would get that. But being an academic scholar isn't a huge knock.
  7. College/NFL Comparisons

I haven't spent a ton of time watching Tee Higgins but when I seen him one player came to mind and that was Mike Williams - USC.
  8. The (Potential) 2020 Draft RB Class

Also in Kansas City the RB won't be ran into the ground with a lot of carries and should still have some miles left after their rookie contract.
  9. Official 2020 DL/EDGE Thread

Yeah I know what you are talking about as far as getting pushed around at times, I was speaking productivity in terms of stats and all conference honors. As for his underwhelming tape, I was chalking it up to being isolated against much larger offensive tackles that had much more leverage than he did while playing out of position as a 3-4 DE. I think he is scheme specific and thought maybe the shrine bowl showed what he might be capable of in a better scheme. I see him as a project as well, but with high potential. What round do you project him to go in? 5th?
  10. Official 2020 DL/EDGE Thread

Where does everyone have Khalil Davis going now? Guy dominated the shrine bowl, then went to the combine and put up Aaron Donald like numbers at 6'1 305. I think he was out of position at Nebraska playing 3-4 DE and yet he was still very productive. He could be a hidden gem as a 3 tech on a 4-3 defense.
  11. Chase Young vs Isaiah Simmons

I'm taking Isiah Simmons and it's because he has true field general potential, something that is very undervalued on the defensive side of the football in this league. You look at any great defense and you always see at least one guy at the Linebacker or Safety spot flying around, making plays, and making everyone else better. The guy that sets the tone of the defense, It's not as often that you see that out of a pass rusher or defensive lineman in general. I will never forget back when the Colts made a super bowl run and they had Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, and Bob Sanders. Well Bob Sanders got hurt and the defense was trash, then he comes back and they completely turned it around. You have to have a tone setter. Same thing for the Chiefs this year, while Frank Clark was a great acquisition I don't think it was what made our defense. Tyrann Mathieu is who made that defense come to life. There are other examples of this as well, Troy Polamalu, Ray Lewis, Bobby Wagner, Ed Reed, etc. The only pass rusher I can think of who ever had that kind of impact is LT and he was an OLB that could drop back into coverage as well. Also, I think Isiah Simmons could be just as effective of a pass rusher as Chase Young if he played 3-4 OLB. He's the kind of player you can build a defense around.
  12. Your wish list.

Andrew Thomas, CJ Henderson, and yes the most likely Kenneth Murray.
  13. Offseason Thread

Albert Okwuegbunam said "football is just a job and not my passion"? Where did you hear that? Gotta link?
  14. Official 2020 QB Thread

Yup, I was saying this just a few weeks ago. I think everyone got hung-up on the profile and not the actual player. He's a 5th-6th round guy for me, same as always.
  15. Offseason Thread

Chiefs fan here with random thoughts... I was watching Jacob Eason and I think there is a very real chance you all take him. He just looks like a Bill Belichick QB, I then googled it and it looks like there are a few mocks that have him going to you as well. I don't pay attention to mocks and I don't watch TV, so that's interesting. Also, my favorite TE in the draft Albert Okwuegbunam who reminds me of Gronk, just ran a 4.49. I could see you all making a move for him as well.
