Well, the big one would of course be Zimmer's insistence on running the ball and defense while Spielman ties up money that could shore up the line and defense in a QB who is in the bottom of the NFL in passing attempts.

You hit on the biggest thing that bother me about the current Vikings situation: lack of harmony. It seems like Spielman has one vision or plan and Zimmer has another. I'm sure they agree on lots of things, but the overall direction of the team seems to be at odds a lot of times. Maybe I'm reading more into than there is, or maybe there's more to it than meets the eye. I've advocated for one or both to go for a while now, and someday that will happen. I'm really dreading the news that they both sign an extension though tbh.

"Gross Mismanagement" is Rick Spielman's nickname in my household.
  4. I Want.../I Don't Want...

You think rookies make more of a difference than I do I guess.

I'm the GM in this instance and I would let Cook walk. You'll love my latest mock

Well, what's a guy to do when Tua falls to 22. Sorry, Kirk. R1 #22 Tua Tagovalioa QB, Ala R1 #25 Jaylon Johnson CB, Utah R2 #58 Ezra Cleveland OT, Boise St. R3 #89 Antonio Gibson RB/WR, Memphis R3 #105 Zack Moss RB, Utah R4 #132 Nick Coe, DL, Auburn R5 #155 Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota (for you homies) R6 #201 Lamar Jackson, CB, Nebraska R6 #205 Kevin Dotson, IOL, Louisiana R7 #219 Tyrie Cleveland, WR, Florida R7 #249 Michael Divinity, LB, LSU R7 #253 Miles Dorn, S, UNC

We're a run-first team (don't tell me you hadn't heard lol) and likely can't afford to resign Cook. Even if he is resigned, I think there needs to be some more talent to take up the slack when he gets injured.

There's a chance a tackle like Andrew Thomas could fall to 22. Small chance, but still. Josh Jones may be there and may not, considering OTs are so valued around the league. Henderson, Gladney and Jaylon Johnson maybe Fulton in the first is almost a must. In the first, I would hope to see OT, CB or pass rushing DT. If a guy who is not one of those falls and the value is too good to pass up, so be it. We need talent at a lot of positions. I would hope we would pass on WR in the first. I would take a RB before WR honestly. WR before the 3rd or 4th round would be ill advised at this time with this coaching staff.

I agree on not forcing picks. That's what got us a middling center at #18 last season when two very good ones were drafted at #44 and #48. But I don't think the Vikings need to draft a WR in the first no matter which one is available. Trade the pick if Jeudy or Lamb are there, we'll never get enough value out of a first round WR under the current regime. I'm sure everyone has read the quote from Cousins about liking the power sets now that Diggs is gone. I think he and Kubiak (and Zimmer, for that matter) are all fine with the old school approach, so why add some guy who will be wanting the ball all the time? A fourth round pick wouldn't likely see things like that in the beginning.

    That does look nice, DV!
  11. Vikings Mock Drafts

Let me ask you guys two questions: 1. Do you think we WILL take a WR in the first round this draft? 2. Do you think we SHOULD take a WR in the first round of this draft? Elaborate on why or why not in detail if you'd like.

Yeah, things don't usually work for me the way they do for other people.

https://imgur.com/a/m0KjaHF That's the best I could come up with. Nothing else seemed to work. This forum is the most difficult I have seen as far as posting images. But anyway, there it is. I got a chuckle when I saw the grade they gave me.

Can someone tell me how to post a pic of my pff mock? I think you'd all really like to see it. I saved it but it won't copy and paste, and tells me I have no attachment. How do I make it an attachment? I'm not a rocket surgeon over here.
