TheRealMcCoy
It appears the Eagles actually gave the most $ to Bruce Hector out of the UDFAs. He just edged out Josh Adams. Quote Overview Hector lacks the prototypical frame of an NFL three-technique, but he does have the active feet and the lower body strength to play strong through the edges. His frame and game are better-suited for an upfield, one-gapping defense. Hector lacks the consistency at the point of attack of teammate Deadrin Senat, but he posted more tackles for loss and sacks in three years than Senat did in four. Hector has some fans in scouting circles and could be a late round addition with a shot of becoming a backup in a 4-3 front. His scouting report from NFL.com. Good scheme fit. He'll be competing for a job with Destiny Vaeao, Elijah Qualls, etc. Sounds like he's already got that underdog mentality! Another guy to keep an eye on this off-season besides Adams and Reaves. EaglesFan5-36-81
Josh Adams has the talent to be a really good back but he runs too high and is going to get himself killed. Every time I see him I think of former Colorado and Titans running back Chris Brown. Big guy who has power and can run away from you, but eventually that running style caught up with him. His sophomore year he ran for 1100 yards in 11 games but injuries crept in and they didn't stop. Another guy who fell into that category was Brandon Jacobs and that upright style caught up to him as well. Simply put it gives defenders a bigger area to hit and ends up with injuries.
