Carlson is a lock because Forbath is meh and they spent a 5th round pick on him. 3. Jalyn Holmes is a lock because the depth behind Richardson at the 3tech is pretty near zilch. I think those are pretty much the only "locks". But I believe all the draft picks will be with the Vikings after training camp is over; either 53 man, PUP list (downs) or practice squad. I read Holton Hill failed a drug test at the combine. So he's an idiot. But if he gets his act together he's a lock for the roster based off of on the field ability. Pay your core, which will be costly, and reserve backup for cheap players on rookie contracts. The draft class doesn't have to yield 3+ starters to be successful, adding several key depth players in addition to 1 or 2 long term starters is probably close to ideal. I think the only reason last year our #3 RB was inactive last season was because he was added midseason. I don't expect Mack Brown back. Personally I'd rather have Aviante Collins than Jeff Badet.
