I think Crosby and Collier have potential to be good. I don't think Sweat will be a monster, but he could be B Graham quality. Omenihu has monster potential. Chandler Jones 2.0 potential. You could be right about Allen. He's not much different from Anthony Nelson I suppose. My DT pool isn't much bigger, now that I think about it, but it is a little bigger than my DE pool, especially if you remove Allen.

I agree i Think Sweat will be a monster, He just seems to fit the type of DE that would work great in a Schwartz Def.

From what i've seen I am far from impressed with Omenihu.

Ferguson and Granderson are my two deeper DE who i think would be great additions.

Gotta pimp my Penn State boys. #1 player to watch for next season at Penn State, DE Yetur Gross-Matos

6'5" 258, reportedly running a 4.52 40. In his first season starting he amassed 54 tackles (20 for loss) and 8.0 sacks.

I mean it is a very Howie thing to do to grab with with one of our seconds and stash him. Just like Sidney Jones. But then again  that hasn't worked quite so well so far.

Could be Sidney Jones, could be Jaylon Smith

well to be fair to sidney has that kid even been healthy yet? he didn't look bad before he hurt his hamstring. Like we were pretty hyped on that barnett and jones draft early in the year then both seasons over like that.

I'm willing to spend our 2nd 2nd rounder on him. If he makes it that far. Give him a full year to rest and it'll be like we had 2 1st round picks next year.

Spend our first 2nd rounder on him. It's just a few picks apart.

Tags and Trades Dream Mock version 1.11

Noteworthy Free Agent Signings:

DE Preston Smith (Don't worry about how much $$$, Howie makes it work)

LB KJ Wright (We also re-sign Hicks on a relatively cheap/modest deal)

LG Mark Glowinski

WR Tyrell Williams

Draft-Related Trades:

Tag and Trade Foles to Jax (3rd and 5th)

Trade Agholor to anywhere (5th)

Trade the two 5th's received from the Foles + Agholor trades to (???) for a 4th

Trade Wisniewski to (???) for a 7th

Trade 1#25 + 2020 4th to KC for 1#29 + 3#92

Trade 1#29 to NE for 1#32 + 4#127

Draft:

  • 1 Jerry Tillery DT
  • 2 Kaleb McGary OT
  • 2 Charles Omenihu DE
  • 3 Darrell Henderson RB
  • 3 Daylon Mack DT
  • 4 Mecole Hardman WR
  • 4 Blace Brown CB
  • 4 Keelan Doss WR
  • 4 Wes Hills RB
  • 5 Maxx Crosby DE
  • 6 Josh Miles OG/OT
  • 6 Xavier Crawford CB
  • 6 Jordan Ta'amu QB
  • 7 Jeff Allison LB

UDFA Signings:

  • Travis Fulgham WR
  • Nate Davis OG
  • Nick Allegretti C
  • Jordan Kunaszyk LB
  • Ulysees Gilbert LB
  • Malik Gant S
  • Chris Slayton DT

Notable Depth Chart Changes:

  • RB: Henderson/Hills/Clement/Adams
  • WR: Alshon/Tyrell Williams/Mecole Hardman/Keelan Doss/Hollins
  • LT: McGary/Mailata/Vaitai
  • LG: Mark Glowinski/Josh Miles
  • DE: Preston Smith/Bennett/Barnett/Charles Omenihu/Sweat/Maxx Crosby
  • DT: Cox/Jerry Tillery/Daylon Mack/Hester
  • WLB: KJ Wright
  • CB: Mills/Jones/Blace Brown/LeBlanc/Xavier Crawford/Douglas

Boom. You'd all love it, even though some of you will pretend not to. LT is the only position that scares me, but I think McGary has as good a chance as any OT in this class to at least be serviceable at LT, even if he's played RT his whole career. He's not Tyron Smith, but he could be Taylor Lewan-ish. Or move Lane to LT and let McGary play RT. Or pray Mailata is the biggest draft steal in recent history.
