bucsfan333
Now that we've had the draft, and the first major wave of free agency is over, what do you think it is? Are there more than one?
indifference
RT Dotson is coming off a knee injury and who knows how much he has left in the tank. Had a great year last season but we need to start thinking about life after Demar. QB Need to develop a QB behind Winston in case he goes down again. RB Barber is solid but think we can get better with a more bigger bruising back. We’ll see LT Don Smith make or break year imo
bucsfan333
I'm gonna keep it simple and say strong safety. Conte and Tandy are just guys, really. I'd much prefer Conte as the third guy who only plays 10 snaps or so every week. He's usually in the right spot but he's only really a difference-maker when he's not in the right spot. I like Tandy but he's more of a special teams guy/leader. And though Whitehead has the tools and physicality to be the guy, he may be limited by his size. And we saw how long it took Evans to be able to even get on the field last year. Our revamped dline should help alleviate some problems in our secondary. But I think there are still problems back there.
REDandPEWTER
Honestly , I’m one who wouldn’t hesitate to sign corner Rashad Breeland and Safety Kenny Vaccaro. Cut sweezy. And put Hargreaves on the block.

Hargreaves played more press after being called out and moved to the slot. Its a wake up call to smith and Hargreaves that’s for sure, especially Hargreaves Bc M.J. Stewart can play both nickel and outside.
kgarrett12486
Still unsure about: 1] SS-Chris Conte is not a viable starting safety option. Enough said 2] RB - Don't think either Barber or Jones is an every down back. Will be interesting to see if they, as a tandem can handle to load and perform. I'm willing to give them a season to show what they can/can't do and if RB will need to be addressed again next off season. 3] OG-JR Sweezy is injury prone and Alex Cappa needs a year or two to develop coming from a small program. I think we have some decent depth options for injury, but not sure any of them are long term starters.

Again, Licht isn't sitting around. If VHIII flops, it sucks. But we've got options now.
REDandPEWTER
I never liked the Hargreaves pick. He really regressed that junior year at FLA. I’m still not sure what licht and co saw but I mean he did take Spence and Aguayo over Nguache
deuces22wild
CB - RT - S We've added to the DB room which is great for this year but Grimes is in his last year and VH is on the hot seat. Right now Davis looks to be the number one next year and behind that it's very thin.
Lil' Shorty
1. SS: I like the potential of Whitehead but we need a lock down guy back there and ultimately a new starter. That’s why this is 1st on the list. 2. T: whether it be Dotson’s age and injury or Don Smith’s underwhelming play, we will need a new starter next year. Interior line I think is solid with good depth and will mask T deficiencies, but we will need a new T next season. 3. CB: This is Grimes last year. We all hope Carlton Davis locks down a starting position, but even if he does Stewart and VH3 are probably best inside as press guys. We need another physical starting CB next season. 4. RB: Barber might turn out to be a solid RB2 to Jones II but as of now, if either of these guys goes down, we are in trouble. Maybe a god target for FA pickup or 3rd round pick next draft. 5. DE: JPP and Curry aren’t 25. We will need a dominant edge rusher in a year or two. Better to plan ahead and start trying to find one now.

He’s lacked physicality and who knows what he’ll bring this year. Maybe this wakes him up? I’m not sure it will. I am for bringing in Breeland on a 1 year deal. Same with Vaccaro. If we bring in Breeland , can we potentially trade Hargreaves for a RT? I liked how Bennenoch performed last year. But we could use some depth at tackle. Cappa can play G and T but I think licht took him to play Guard and cut sweezy.
REDandPEWTER
I still think people need to understand: our secondary had no help from pressure up front. That’s why we overhauled the DL adding three new DTs and 2 DEs. If we get a healthy Noah Spence and Buckner can elevate some guys, the secondary is already improved. I think we can get away from adding S or Cb but I’d add one more vet back there Bc we are inexperienced.
indifference
Call me crazy but I think Whitehead has a future at SS. As a starter
BucsDraftGeek47
LT/RT - Dotson is on his last leg and IMO Donovan Smith should be if he doesnt get better DE - as mentioned Curry and JPP are getting up there, and im done counting on Spence, we need a young stud CB - need a new starter when Grimes leaves S - been needing one for a while now but the positions above take precedence i dont think there is anyway we draft a RB unless Jones is a bust and Barber falls flat this year
