I'm sticking with Murray as their choice. PICK 2- NickBosa - Edge The Niners can't go wrong with Bosa or Quinnen Williams here, but I think Bosa is a better
John232
So happy this nightmare ends tomorrow...or starts..idk...Whatever we do, as long as we get Bosa, i'll feel like this off-season was productive.

Part of me would like another week to do a full 7 rounder, and keep enjoying these youtube scouting games on the big screen. The bigger part of me reminds self that full 7 rounders were a pain in the arse.. and that I can still watch the vids of the players we actually do draft. Yeah, it's time for all the speculation to end. The fridge is stocked with cold beer for tomorrow. The woman is visiting her out of town fam for a couple more days. IT IS ABOUT THAT TIME. Bring that draft thing on.

P_locniners
So the more i think about it......... I am a fan of both Bosa and Williams when it comes to our first pick, but when it comes down to what we already have on the team...i gotta go Bosa or maybe even Allen over Williams. I cant imagine drafting Williams and being ok with what we have as the opposite pass rusher to Dee Ford already being on the team, I would be fine with Bosa/ Allen and what we have at the interior (Armstead, Thomas,Jones, Buckner). We dont have an answer at a second pass rusher on the roster at this point. Armstead and Thomas can set the edge, but they are not proven pass rushers off the edge. Bosa/Allen pose much more of a threat on the edge Also, I am 100% in on AJ brown being our 2nd round WR, dude is lights out good after watching film.

We dont have an answer at a second pass rusher on the roster at this point. This is basically why I have stated the entire time that Bosa would be what I do. I just think it makes more sense. Now, I do think that QW and Bosa are on their own tier in this draft, so I don't have any problems if we take QW, but for me, it just makes more sense to go Bosa. I wouldn't go Allen over QW though, just because I think QW is the superior prospect. I think there's a drop after QW and Bosa to the next group of guys, and for me, I don't want to overdraft need. I did that a couple of years ago with agreeing with the Solly draft pick when I had several other players rated higher (and all of whom are performing very well at the NFL level) and Solly has been a bust. Now, if we trade with say Oakland, and end up at 4, and Bosa / QW are gone in the top 3, I have no problems selecting Allen, as I think that he's a fine player, I just don't have him on that level of Bosa and Williams. 5 minutes ago, P_locniners said: Also, I am 100% in on AJ brown being our 2nd round WR, dude is lights out good after watching film. Yep, I've stated in several places that I think we love him and he will be very high on our board. Maybe even our number one receiver (Hollywood could be #1...the guy runs very mature routes, and of course has the speed, but he's not just a speed demon), and then I think Deebo would probably round out the top 3 if I had to guess how our board / preferences are. I love him after the catch, I think he can slide into the slot and be a bully similar to Cooper Kupp (And they both have the angriness after they have the ball in their hands) and move slightly out to the Z role. He's fun to watch after the catch - he's not Golden Tate or anything (and let's be honest, who is? That dude is just unique in his run after the catch ability), but still adds a very nice dimension there.

typecast
Seven of the top ten mock drafters for Huddle Reports yearly contest have submitted their final mocks and posted them online. Those missing are Jason Boris (hasn't posted), Mike Loyko (ghosted), and Mike Mayock (Raiders baby!). Looking through the mocks of those in the top 20, 3 had Quinnen Williams instead of Kyler Murray at #1. They all had Bosa to SF. oldman9er
No surprise on Lindstrom and Simmons. The others just don't belong in rd 1, imo.
NcFinest9erFan
I am curious to hear or eventually hear if we have a trade or any trades lined up in case Murray isn't going #1..I remembered in the Peter King Special, we had the deal with Chicago before the draft started but did tell them unless something happens, the deal was gonna happen. y2lamanaki
Matt Barrows just threw out the craziest stat in his latest Athletic article. The writers from all the teams compiled every pick from 2000-2015 for the team they covered for comparison. Here's the crazy stat: From 2000-2015, the 49ers received 8 more starts from their 7th round picks than they did from their 3rd round picks. Please keep in mind that Frank Gore and Navorro Bowman were both 3rd round picks.
TecmoSuperJoe
Good thing we won that meaningless game against the Seahawks in December. Definitely helped us get better as a team. Edited April 25, 2019 by PapaShogun

I don't know if we can pass on the potential of Bosa... but there is a part of my brain that keeps reverberating the extra, blissful drama of trading back not once but twice in round 1. Of course, takes two to make a trade happen. If somehow, AZ takes Bosa at 1 overall, I will be screaming for a trade back. If he's there... hmm... man...
