Redskins Make National Headlines

Recommended Posts

From everything I've read and heard, this is close to the sort of stunt Harvey Weinstein was pulling, not quite to that degree, but on a much larger scale. I fully expect to be flamed by some very passionate Redskins fans, but this really is a bad look IMO.

How do you related the two so closely? Weinstein would invite women to his hotel room about a role and he would be butt naked offering them alcohol and asking them to take a shower with him.

This stuff is bad but until we here about actual sexual assault or coercion that lead to sex the women didn't really want I wouldn't put it on that level.

Oh they are "innocent until proven guilty" but whether or not the real truth comes to the surface, we will never know. My gut feeling is that these accusations are true, I'm waiting to see how many of this woman's fellow 2013 cheerleaders come forward to corroborate her story, that'd be a good start. Only time will tell, it's been less than a day, we need to see how this plays out.

As for how it compares, read more into it. Assuming the accusations are true, they were

1. Taken on a "mandatory boat outing"
2. Had their passports taken
3. Had liquor shots given to them via Turkey Basters
4. Made to pose topless in front of rich businessmen
5. Required to serve as escorts for nightclub events
6. Encouraged to participate in "Twerking contests" for cash prizes.

If true, this is very much somewhere between "sexual harassment" and being pimped out.

I doubt you find a single Redskins fan defending Dan snyder.

Is that just because the team hasn't had success in recent years, or actually because of the culture of the management?

And if they come forward and refute the story?

Both.  Bruce Allen disgusts me as a person and is basically Snyder’s right hand man.

Ps: what am I doing wrong that it won’t embed tweets when I copy them?

You have to click the pop up below the posting box that says "Post as plain Text instead" counter intuitive I know.

As for them refuting, that's not surprising, they were required to sign NDA's. And that doesn't mean each of their experiences were identical.

Ok but to our knowledge they weren’t Cosby’d Or Weinstein’d. Correct?

Its totally horrible what this Organization has done and become frankly. Most Redskins fans are more upset about it than any other teams fan base can ever imagine to be.

As I said in my other post on this, this equates to the sex boat cruise the Vikings players had a decade ago and the University of Miami amongst others partakes in for recruits and their players regularly paid for by rich boosters, not making the cheerleaders go to donors rooms and sexually assulting them or druging them to get some.

What kind of a trash reporters alks about tweets and doesn't link to them inside his own tweet?

I want to know exactly what those cheerleaders said and how they phrased it.

Also it was apparently 5 women in the original story, not just 1.
